I don't really know what's good about HP Ice in NU Sweeper set. It only hits hardest on Gligar but Surf is pretty much a guaranteed kill on anything but a weird max Sp. Def Gligar. Surf hits all Grounders harder than Ice. HP Grass has a little niche in NU hitting Whiscash 4x effectively but I'm suggesting a move that I find even better than either Hidden Powers: And that's Signal Beam. Signal Beam hits Grass-types harder than HP Ice does and in addition hits Cacturne and Shiftry 4x. Signal Beam also hits Psychic and Dark harder than Thunderbolt.

Incredible wall breaker for NU. I like to partner it with things like Scyther or Fearow because it can clear the walls that would usually wall them(like Solrock).
 
With Jolly, take 252 atk and speed.
 
For the moveset you will want: Swords Dance, EQ, RS, Superpower/Thief/Return/Quick Attack

Welcome to the Little Cup competitive guide thread. This is a guide where we give you ready sets for making your own Little Cup team in case it causes you some trouble. Community input is more than welcome and any comments/critique about any set is welcome as long it's made in civil manner and the post have actual content.
 
 
 
About Little Cup in general:
 
 
Little Cup is a Smogon introduced tier to give Pokemon competitive action that otherwise would be left out of any serious teambuild due to their lack of good stats. Therefor it's nice to have a metagame where all these "little ones" can clash against each other while creating a whole new metagame compared to bashing with those over 550 BST monsters.
 
Little Cup is played at level 5. This causes massive differences to EVing, important IVs and so on. Where as 8 EVs increase a stat by 1 point in level 50, 80 EVs raise one stat by 1 in level 5. At first glance it might look like EVs and IVs are not important at level 5 because of the required EVs for one stat to raise you need to remember that for that one stat to raise by 1 it could be a 10% boost to your stat. Ratio-wise the importance of IVs and EVs is the same with level 5 and 50. Only small difference is that sometimes when EVing a Little Cup Pokemon you could end up having a lot of "spare EVs" which don't raise any stat in the end. A really pleasant thing about Little Cup comps is that oftentimes you do not need 31 speed to reach the Pokemon's maximum speed.
 
IMPORTANT: Every EV spread in this guide is made by assuming your Pokemon is 6x31. If your Pokemon is not 6x31 (which it most likely isn't), every 1 IV lower requires 4 more EVs to reach that same stat value. Let's say a Pokemon has 196 Defensive EVs in this guide but your defense IV is 27. This means you need 16 more EVs to reach that recommended stat point making your number of EVs to give the wanted stat to be 212. Oftentimes the spreads are made that you can maximize the amount of stats you can with your EVs and while you need extra EVs to reach that certain stat you might be lacking to get another stat filled by that 1 point.
