In my sincere opinion, I believe that the Hoenn map is the worst of them all. The amount of blind backtracking, trial and error, massive portions of waters and a couple of quests that are just red herrings really add to the frustration factor. I was able to beat Kanto back in the day without even a guide, both Red and FireRed. The first time I went through Emerald I was baffled at the length of the game and the amount of stuff I was supposed to go in an extremely non-linear way.
I must admit though that Hoenn is pathetically easy (combat-wise), with your rival being a wimp and every gym being a pushover. The animated sprites at the beginning of the encounter/battle were something I always liked.

As you should already know, Berries in original Emerald DO NOT get consumed when used in Battle Frontier. Given that we have to (already) abide by a stupid "Only one of the same item" clause, you should really make berries regenerate after every round. I do not think that this brings any negative aspects. In fact, it is already bad and severe that berries cannot be used in BF.

The damage applies when its used, not when it hits , so gen 1 to 4 mechanics, but I´m pretty sure stab matters for it, so gen 5/6 mechanics.
Lastly, power and pp is based on gen5.
If I´m mistaken plz correct me, but some explanation would be nice.
The move was buggy for a very long time (to the point where it was useless and it did not cause any damage). As far as I know, it applies weaknesses and does not hit Dark-types. I am pretty sure that the poorly implemented mix of gens mechanics might have negatively affected its behavior though.

If I recall correctly (because I neither like nor use Milotic) you need to raise a Feebas' beauty to its maximum using Pokeblocks, which are acquired by grinding berries (I think?) or just buying them off the GTL.

Well, you can google the the Personal Value you want (Nature) for your Wurmple evolution and then use everstone to pass it onto the offspring. Kinda hard since you need the right parents with the right natures.

Yeah this, but with many moves taken out, am I right? Many Gen 4 and beyond moves are not learned and are instead replaced. Correct me if I am wrong.

You actually can, it's just easier to say you can't. However, do not bother with a 6x31 set, as the only 31s you need are Attack and Speed. The others won't make that much of a difference. Make sure to get a Jolly one.

394 draws the line for Aero, Crobat and Jolteon (maybe other one). There is only 3 pokes that go past 400 and that is Ninjask with 460, Electrode with 415 and Speed Deoxys with 504.

A Wall with Protect might help a lot since most Pokemons are either Choice Scarfed/Banded/Specs, or there is a Snorlax that uses Self-Destruct.
