  2. Ok but what I wanna know is why is that robot santa so jacked? And why does he have nipples?
  3. Honestly, even though I play within the rules, being randomly perma-banned is one of my biggest fears. From the players perspective, its very terrifying to know that we might get banned at any time, and never really know why, what "proof" there was, or even what players are expected to appeal on (if innocent) to get unbanned - since its already been stated in this tread that ban appeals aren't to prove innocence (what exactly are they for then??). I've heard literally countless stories of people getting banned (who claimed to be innocent) who just gave up hope and quit forever, either because their questions were being ignored, because they don't even know exactly what they did wrong, or sometimes just because of a language barrier. How does someone appeal against a ban if they don't even know what exactly they're being accused of? Of course, nearly everyone who breaks the rules will claim innocence to try to get their account back, so every ban appeal story has to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. I'm sure staff here are plenty professional, but I have seen the exact same copy/pasted response from the same SGM saying "You ban appeal has been denied. You broke the rules. You're welcome to start a new character but please do not submit another appeal" for 5+ different players' appeals. It does come off as if the appeal is not even being read, despite that not being the case. I work in an industry where we have to respond to "tickets" aka appeals/reports and I know that (at least in my industry) a copy/pasted response is not a healthy sign, and usually means the employees are overwhelmed, and are trying to just get the numbers down by any means possible. From a player's perspective, this is a little concerning. Although I see it from the staff's perspective regarding why they can't disclose the evidence they have, or how they caught the player (it would teach players how they catch rule breakers, and sub-sequentially how to abuse their methods), the flip side of that is an entire semi-informed player base who is constantly worried/uneasy about getting banned by accident or from simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time - like me. For example, an innocent player who trades with someone who just finished RMT'ing (which is a ban as soon as the actual RMT player gets banned). I know that nearly every banned player has a chip on their shoulder, either justified or not. Even taking that into account, its not very comforting as a normal, rule abiding player to hear about the system that's currently in place. I've never had to use a ban appeal (and hopefully I never have to), so I could be completely wrong, but to me it seem like it could use a few minor tweaks. Some suggestions would potentially be: -More staff working on ban appeals, so they can spend more time reviewing and communicating on each case individually. -A little more communication on each case, so when staff is justified in denying a case, the banned player isn't tempted to complain so much to the current player-base, feigning innocence. Either of these could potentially make all the difference, and all parties could be more satisfied with the current processes. Maybe PokeMMO can't accomidate these suggestions for one reason or another, but I still think the suggestions should be made.
  4. This is what he's trying to show: Bunch of players just witnessed this This is the one he ended up picking to catch: It was modest. The other one was no doubt 6x31 + natured Player's name is XCesarXx who found it
  5. Rayquazaa's totally not stolen idea.. Hide N Seek! (This event is for in-game Team Mr members only) Date: December 12th, 2020 Time: 6PM GMT / 1PM EST Time Zone Converter (click me) Starting Location: Viridian City Pond, Channel 5 About the event: Hello All! Team [Mr] is hosting an event for our in-game team members, in the form my personal favorite event style: Hide n' Seek! This event will vary across ALL FOUR REGIONS and will take place in channel 5 only. There will be 10 rounds, in which our host, Rayquazaa, hides somewhere, and we all go try to find them. Rayquazaa will send a screenshot in team chat, to hint as to where they are hiding. Every few minutes, that screenshot will get larger, to reveal more of the surrounding area. While Rayquazaa is hiding, we will all wait in Viridian City, channel 5, at the pond. There will be at least 1 round in each region, so if you haven't completed all 4 regions, it's highly suggested that you do so before the event takes place. Rules: -There will be 10 rounds total -To win each round, you must find the host and be the first to send them a trade request -The host (Rayquazaa) will send screenshots in team chat, hinting to their location. As more time passes, these screenshots will grow larger until the host is found -Only in-game team [Mr] Members may participate -Anyone caught cheating (ex. colluding with other people [specifically people not in Mr]) will be disqualified for the rest of the event -After each round, all participants will then go back to Viridian Pond and wait for the first hint of the next round, while the host hides PRIZE PER ROUND: Currently $1,200,000 **Prizes are subject to grow bigger and will be updated before the event to better reflect the prize pool** Any an all team members are encouraged to donate to make this event as enticing as possible for all players To donate: Send mail to IGN: "Rayquazaa" in game with the title "Event Prize" Bonus Prize Anyone who finds a shiny during the event gets $1m from awkways (This is independent from the prize pool) Current Donations: OHJI: $5,000,000 Rayquazaa: $2,000,000 Awkways: $2,000,000 KiryuMoeka: $2,000,000 Paul: $1,000,000 CURRENT PRIZE POOL: 12M - aka 1.2m per round

  8. For me, this is where this suggestion loses all credibility: So, essentially, you're saying that you're willing to give your team out to EVERYONE for free (on CN PVP forums), unless they spectate you. God forbid if they spend an extra 10 minutes to see how you actually use the team that you suggested to win.. So, you're giving everyone the exact configuration on how to win (for free), but you're mad that they took some time to see how to apply the methods that you suggested? How are they supposed to confirm that your suggestions work then? How can you even pretend to be helpful if you are only willing to tell them the pokemon to use (with SO MUCH deserved credit btw), but not actually show them how exactly to use them? Literally what @TheFrenchiestFry said to this comment is the only appropriate response. It's extremely clear that you only want money and/or fame for being the "first" to come up with a team (despite MANY MANY players having figured out "your" methods years before you). You can go ahead and stop pretending this suggestion is for some altruistic reason other than wanting to make yourself more money/credibility now. It really sounds like the only reason this idea is being suggested is so that players can post a thread online on the pokemon players need to buy to win, and then charge an additional 5m or whatever just to allow players to spectate and show them how to use the pokemon that you suggested.
  9. The Halloween event has been around longer than most of the players here who are claiming that they did their own "research" to come up with a 100% "original" team. Isn't it weird how they claim to have created their own 100% original team in 2019 and 2020, when the pumpking has been in pokmmo since 2018 and even 2016 and earlier? I can guarantee that the "original team" you are trying so hard to protect was at least 50% copied from some other player who farmed the event 1 year earlier. Even if we add this feature, everyone will come to the same exact conclusion regarding the best team to farm the event with - there are only so many possible configurations to win. Even if this suggestion is added, you will still see nearly every player using the same exact strategy, because there are only certain weaknesses, which people will all see & then learn to exploit. Not everyone is so greedy that they need to be paranoid about who is watching them. As @Riesz already pointed out, why is this only a problem since the CN community joined, and not for all the prior years? The entire rest of the world uses youtube but this wasn't a problem for 5+ years (perhaps because everyone realizes information will be spread regardless)? Why do we suddenly need a feature just to protect a specific website (BilliBilli) from spreading information? Word of mouth spreads even faster than you may think. Someone can share their entire team to 1 "friend" who can share to another "friend" and then another, and so on, and so on. Each "friend" may be trusted entirely, but the information reaches more and more players exponentially as it spreads from player to player. The entire pokemmo player-base is connected in this way. Asking someone not to share information is rarely effective. Therefore, even if this suggestion IS added, it wouldn't work. What's the point of creating more work for the developers? Secret team builds won't be effectively kept secret, when the developer's goals are to bring together the community in times of festivities and events such as Halloween and Christmas. We should really all just be happy we get to participate and come together as a community, instead of worrying about what other players are making money and who is not. It seems too greedy to bicker over.
  10. Generic joke about 2020 lasting more than 365 days
  11. We have 2 guys that stream to twitch regularly in our team, so I'm sorry to inform you, but you should already be disappointed. Honestly, I'd be surprised if you weren't already disappointed with the PokeMMO community for other reasons anyway
  12. Shiny #38: Shiny Murkrow - 35,345 encounters + 1,800 eggs
  13. No, they don't. Even if you group 4 people in a link all using charms, the max boost from a charm you can get is +10%, or +20% using donator and charm. See this thread, there's a reason it's pinned:
  14. The event is in progress! Results Spreadsheet for when it concludes:

  16. I wasn't really responding to your comment, more just encouraging the OP on the uniqueness of the theme overall. If you want to use the theme with the default font, you don't have to wait for them to do that for you, its very easy to change any theme's font back to the normal one. All you have to do is go to your themes->default->res folders and copy the entire "fonts" folder. Then go delete the same fonts folder from the underworld theme's "res" folder, and paste the copied default folder there instead. You also have to do this same process with the "fonts" XML file which is in the main folder of the theme. Once you have swapped both of those from the default, close and re-open the client and the entire theme will be the same except for the font. So far I haven't found any bugs doing this. Edit: Here's how it looks
  17. The font takes like 10 minutes to get used to, sure, but once you do it's great. Honestly, I was just happy to see a theme that works with the trade window (literally all my other themes including the custom ones that people made for me), broke with the latest update. I'm overall really happy with this theme, the only thing that bothers me is that I can't see chinese text so like half of trade chat is missing, if this ever gets fixed that would be nice. The opaque windows are great, and I love the high-contrast theme in general. Great work @Rhenor.
  18. Now I know what casual players think of us hunters while we're out doing our thing for days at a time. For the record the shiny rate in pokemmo is 1/30,000 so girlan's encounters are par for the course. Ive had 3 hunts so far reach over 100k encounters before finding a wrong colored monster. It just makes finally finding one that much more exciting I guess (thats legit the only positive i can think of atm). Great art!
  19. Regarding this segment, you're right: Sorry again not trying to derail this thread. I would love to see more hair limited vanities.
  20. Gosh FrenchiestFry, i pegged u for a winner, but never for someone who would get stuff done. That being said tho, this looks op AF For anyone wondering how to do this on PC, at the bottom of the window is Theme, click this!:
  21. Some I think are great, but imo it all depends on the design. Lately the only limited items without a glow effect we got were Boar hood/costume, Penguin, Phoenix, etc, & they all seem like the same design sent to us over and over again only slightly tweaked. For example boar costume is the same as blue/pink overalls or how frog/penguin/small rat costumes are the same just diff colors. This is the main reason why I don't think they are as popular in the long run compared to others, not simply because they lack lighting effects. The night glow effect can also be a bit underwhelming for some limited vanities like Christmas lights or Rudolph antlers for example. It almost seems sometimes like the design is leaning too heavily on the glow effects to carry them. The ones that seem do be really popular seem to be the ones that are the most unique, so I think design is the most important aspect. I think @FighterChamp has a point here, colorable limited items are a cool idea because we can customize them a bit more and make them a more unique experience. I don't think it's possible from a comment you made in the past, but a colorable glow effect vanity would also be cool. Also not to derail this thread, but Kyu said on a thread a while back that "event only" vanities were supposed to be the equivalent of limited vanities for players who don't want to spend real money, and so far I don't believe I have seen an event only item with glow effects. It would be nice to see that happen in the future.

    Johto

Nice dig up of a year+ old thread, reading people questioning staff about if sinnoh was going to happen or not is great. Here's Kyu's thoughts on adding Johto: Keep in mind that they said at least another year in January 2020 so to any normal person that might mean 2021, but most pokemmo players already know to take an ETA they give us and multiply by x5 or xnever, so maybe 2026->never as an actual time frame
  24. Thanks a lot bro. Very quick, I think it took less than 4 hours until it was in my mailbox. Great work! Money sent
  25. @Fixedgaming hey bro can u do me a favor and make a sig with all 3 johto starters (shinyyyyyy) theres plenty of pics online u can use as a base. Just use/make whatever u think looks best. I will pay well. The only other request I have is that somewhere it says: "awkways Team [Mr] Boss" in some form or another. Thanks in advance!
