Popular Post DragoTamer
Pokémon: Shedinja Nature: Lonely Optimal IVs: X/31/0/31/21/31 **HP doesn't matter. 31s in attack and speed to maximize usefulness. 0 in Defense and 21 in Special Defense to keep defenses as low as possible due to PvP purposes and to counter the download ability. 31 in Special Attack because it has some special attack moves in its move pool** Cost-saving IVs: 2x31 in Attack/Speed. **A 21 IV difference between Defense and Special Defense with Special Defense being higher. A high special attack IV is nice, but not necessary.** EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 special attack Egg moves: Final Gambit, Night Slash, Gust, Flail **Optional, but I recommend them for versatility** **If you pass egg moves to the final breed, they are re-learnable. This means you will have expanded the maximum moveset of your final breed** HM moves: Cut, Flash Special Notes Spoiler The nature you have for nincada is passed to shedinja. If your nincada has a lonely nature, the Shedinja will have a lonely nature 3 random IVs are passed to Shedinja and all other IVs are populated randomly Particles on your nincada will NOT be transferred to Shedinja There might be a small chance to pass a fourth IV or it could be luck. I didn’t want to waste yen testing more than 10 nincadas to test the possibility that there is a small chance for a fourth IV to be passed on. LucasLyn (IGN: Lynet) and I evolved a total of 10 nincadas for testing. Nincada evolves at level 20. If you have the patience, I recommend evolving it every time you hatch nincada while breeding it just to see what kind of shedinja you get. I primarily created this guide to congregate the correct information about Shedinja since there was a lot of misinformation around. I included some uses below. Nature explanation Spoiler Lonely raises the attack and lowers the defense. This nature is used as a way to combat the download ability. Download increases the stat of whichever stat is lowest among the opponent. This means that if Shedinja has Defense as its lowest stat, an opponent that uses a Pokémon like porygon with download will raise its attack stat. You wouldn’t want porygon to have its special attack stat raised. Explanation of how the download ability works so you understand why you want defense to be the lowest stat: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Download_(Ability) IVs explanation Spoiler Having 31s in attack and speed speaks for itself. Having a high HP doesn’t matter since Shedinja has 1 HP Shedinja’s base special attack is 30 which isn’t high and you most likely won’t be using a special type move. Although I have said this, it is still an IV that benefits from being higher, but is purely optional If your Special Defense is 31, you want a Defense IV of 10 or lower. If you have a Special Defense of, you want a Defense IV of 0. There are some adjustments you could do with EVs, to ensure Special Defense stays higher, but that would take away from maximizing your Speed and Attack. EV explanation Spoiler Maximizing Attack and Speed speaks for itself If you are 1 IV off, you can put the 6 EVs into special defense. Optimally you want around a 21 IV difference between special defense and defense with defense being lower. There is a range of 19-21 IVs depending on the level of Shedinja and which IVs are what, but 21 is the safest minimum number. If you accomplish this, put the remaining 6 EVs into special attack which is another modifiable stat. Moves explanation Spoiler Shedinja has exactly four moves Currently working on 4 solid moves for PvE PvP Usage Spoiler Set from @HumongousNoodle for OU: Baton Pass, Will-O-Wisp, Shadow Sneak/Claw, Protect PvE Usage Spoiler E4 battles A False swiper Trainer rematches Guides to utilize Spoiler Shedinja Moves [This section is nearly word for word from @Raederz's fantastic guide in 2016] Spoiler **The differences below from Raederz's guide are the bolded headlines, the wording of some of the headlines, a few spelling corrections such as hyper beam rather than hyperbeam, and slight general formatting changes. All credit for the compilation of the below moves belongs to Raederz and the 2016 guide will be linked at the end of this guide** - Sandstorm As Shedy isn't Rock, Ground, or Steel-Type, he'll just get killed by the first grain of sand he will meet. - Double-Edge Because 1-1=0.
