so it would be possible to also make custome backgrounds?

Yes. There are models for the backgrounds exist in the files(/a/0/1/1/1_34.BDM0 for instance). I am pretty sure you can edit the texture files to make custom backgrounds using NSBDM to NSBTX converter. image.png.18ef156e1305ef7bbca509140b8144c6.pngimage.thumb.png.7bcac5806d0a1bd63466a2c6c949a96c.png

The rom you re using is has a different checksum. Probably another region/version. Please make sure the rom is 5585 Pokemon Black.I forgot what it was for the White version.

First of all, hello there!

I’m not very technical on the subject, but I am a big fan of customization, and I see that you have more knowledge about this topic than I do, and I have a series of questions that I would like to know, I hope you can answer them. I quickly understood the point you’re explaining, but I tried to find advanced information on the internet and found nothing.

· Have you made progress on this project?
· Can you edit the BMD0 in 3D? (Blender or other applications)
· Is there any kind of forum, detailed information or a base from which to start?
· Could you possibly provide some additional details, either here or in private?
· If you’re not planning to continue with this, could you possibly recommend someone who might be able to assist me?

I have tried to edit the BMD0 file from converting it to BMD, I didn’t even manage to convert it to NSBMD (I’m not even sure if it will be useful for what I’m planning), use BleMD in Blender, see multiple forums on the subject and I still can’t access to model it.

I regret not being aware of many things, I researched and tried many different approaches to edit the file, approximately 6 hours and counting, but I still can’t access it correctly. That’s why I turn here to the forum.

Hi thanks for reaching out

· Have you made progress on this project?

Not really. I am not a 3D Artist so i just do not have the experience to do custom backgrounds. I am instead currently working on other projects. But i have quite a lot interest in the subject

· Can you edit the BMD0 in 3D? (Blender or other applications)

You need to convert it to another format. I know people convert nsbmd files into waveform obj files and importing them into the blender that way. There are some repositories like Apicula https://github.com/scurest/apicula that does exactly that.

· Is there any kind of forum, detailed information or a base from which to start?

pokecommunity.com has some cool modding community that has some recources but mostly for mario kart interestingly. But in my experience not really.

· Could you possibly provide some additional details, either here or in private?
I will be glad to help anyway i can. You can contact me here or on my discord.

· If you’re not planning to continue with this, could you possibly recommend someone who might be able to assist me?

I am not sure about what i will be doing in the future. But i can see myself continuing this since the demand is increasing

The issue is nsbmd files include texture files too. If we were to model something on the background model how do we attach the texture file on it? There are questions like this that needs more research.

I also recommend using gltf 2.0 instead of Collada. The textures don't work correctly otherwise

Download:

For 5584 Pokemon White

For 5585 Pokemon Black

F.A.Q

How does it work?

I have replaced the battle ground tiles in Pokemon White/Black roms with a transparent one.

Will i get banned if i use this?

No. We have reached the devs just to confirm this. It is only a visual mod. There is no alteration in terms of gameplay.

Do i need the file in mods folder to make this work?

No. It is a xdelta patch folder we are providing you need to patch it to your own legal Pokemon White/Black rom.

I read the instructions but i can't patch it 😞 Can't you just post the patched rom?

No. It is illegal to distribute any copies of the game including the patched version. Please read below to understand how to patch it.

I got an error called XD3_INVALID_INPUT what is this?

Make sure you're using the right patch for the right game i.e.: No Battle Ground White for Pokemon White.

If the error still exists you're probably using a rom with a different region. Make sure the rom is 5585 Pokemon Black/5584 Pokemon White

Also make sure the rom file you're using has .nds file type.

I have more questions how can i reach you?

You can find me ingame(Efeburc) or on discord(Efeburc) or you can post in this thread.

Instructions

ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converted.gif.4cbea1ead168f26ea68652bef4594479.gif

1.Select the patch.

2.Select the clean rom.

3.Choose a name for the output file.

4.Patch the rom using xdelta

5.Use the output rom as Pokemon Black and White rom in Pokemmo Client Customization tab.

6.Restart the game.

Great, thanks but is possible also in spanish rom please?
