[Implemented] Matchmaking Spectator System

We need a spectator system for our new matchmaking system. Spectating would be a cool thing for us to do. Previously we could spectate all kinds of battles in Viridian. Now, most of the battling takes place over the matchmaking system, and we can't watch any of it. Also, a list showing the battlers in matchmaking games would help relay information of how many are currently playing matchmaking. At times there are NONE, so it stops us from wasting 15 minutes trying to get a match. Also, it can help us to see that more people are playing 50's singles at one time or 100's doubles at another, so that we may adjust and find a match with more ease. Here is my solution to tackle the problem at hand :

 

You walk up to one of these two screens and press 'a'. They are upstairs at any pokecenter. They are located right next to the matchmaking lady, so it is placed perfectly for this job. Also, the screens do absolutely nothing and serve no purpose as of now.

 

Once you press 'a', the "Spectate Matchmaking" window will pop up.

 

Once you click the spectate button for a match, you are teleported to the arena where the battlers are located. Spectators are placed in an appropriate area. You automatically spectate the battle. If you click the button to stop spectating, you are instantly removed from the arena and teleported to the pokecenter.

I'd love this, although it is great trying out teams without people watching :P

 

EDIT: Can the spectators be invisible? Imagine if this becomes how tournaments are played. It would greatly reduce lag.

Perhaps off topic for this thread, but since we will have a UI for spectator mode, will it be possible to incorporate a lobby to seek duels instead of using the automated system? This way you can avoid redundant matchmaking (dueling the same person over and over when few players are around). Also you can pick and choose duels as was done in Virid.

Soon™ has arrived, and we will be deploying spectator support for all concurrent Ranked matches occurring in Matchmaking with the next update.
