CrookedWings427
Working on a kingdra design Edit Edited August 29, 2016 by CrookedWings427 razielhd, Kamigoroshi and Neckbear 3 Link to comment
Kickern
Am I the only one that thinks the eyes on the bottom middle Ivysaur looks better? Anyways, I vote for some kinda science between Hardcore's and CW's. @razar51 Not bad, but I think 'gatr needed more work done on her yet (namely, her ponytail). Also, you have a few extra colors on there, and even more with the shiny version. @CrookedWings427 What's the thing Kingdra has, and how does her other leg go? I like her design so far, just don't know what to think about that. Edited August 29, 2016 by Kickern Link to comment
razar51
@Kickern Whoops, miscounted the colors and forgot to check them in gimp before posting. As for the ponytail, do you think both the front and back need work? I'm not very satisfied with my frontsprite ponytail texturing, and I just continued what was already there for the backsprite. I'm new to sprite editing. Anything in particular that feels off about it? Link to comment
Kickern
@razar51 IMO, the back sprite ponytail doesn't look much like hair. If you want to work on that to make it match the style that the front sprite has, I'd say do that. I can fix the color palette if you want me to, or you can do it. I don't mind either way. razar51
@Kickern I can fix the palette when I am messing with the hair. Edited August 29, 2016 by razar51 Link to comment

Arisa
@CrookedWings427 The head looks fine to me. I think the thing she's holding is a large fan. The arm looks a bit wonky/long, and I'm pretty sure Kickern mentioned this a while back, but you seem to frame your hair around the eyes. Try to show the forehead a bit more if you can. The eyes look a bit alien-ish without eye whites too. Link to comment
laGashetaHardcore
help? sprites with a little edits (Nidoqueen...) Edited August 30, 2016 by laGashetaHardcore Kamigoroshi 1 Link to comment
Neckbear
@laGashetaHardcore I think the shark tail/fin would look better on the hat, like in the reference/inspiration image. @CrookedWings427 I'm really digging your Horsea line, and this Kingdra is looking great. I have nothing to add to the critique, everything I noticed has already been mentioned. Link to comment
Septentrion
I suspect not as many people care about Latios as much as Latias. His left wing shortened, taller, arm fix, trying new shiny palette. Still nothing for the back. Link to comment
Neckbear
@Septentrion Cutie air force Pokeboy? How can I NOT care about him? He's definitely got a lot of work needed; legs, mouth, head, etc. My only suggestion at this point is consider a more stylish haircut. Go for a classic or more modernized short sides, long on top cut. I'd love to contribute with sprites and edits, but it seems I'm always at work(working for the air force) and never have time. Edit: I found something I can do some quick edits with, even at work! Touched up the face a bit? And a second time. Edited August 30, 2016 by Neckbear Link to comment

The problem is putting men's haircuts or military style into sprite form. I know very well about how it's supposed to look in real life. It's the art part that's a challenge. I would be content just making this sprite passable for this hack. Link to comment
Moetal
@laGashetaHardcore I still can't tell what the first one is. I can't tell the difference on the edits without seeing the original of the sprites side by side comparison. Link to comment
CrookedWings427
@Kickern @Arisa @Septentrion Yeah its a giant fan to keep the theme going. More edits to come ;) I made some edits at work @Neckbear Thank you :) Edited August 30, 2016 by CrookedWings427 Link to comment
Septentrion
This is the update where I improve hats and ears on less finished sprites. edit: didn't see neckbear's Latios when I posted this. I also show my lack of skill. I think I got the hat right. 1 hour ago, CrookedWings427 said: Yeah its a giant fan to keep the theme going. Majena
Are there forgotten/backlogged sprites I can try to help with? Since anything other than concept work is beyond my current spriting ability. Edit: Maybe bellsprout or abra family? Edited August 30, 2016 by Majena Link to comment

What comes to mind is a male Volbeat and a fitting Illumise if needed. EDIT: @CrookedWings427 Dragon Lady Rule Number 1: A Dragon lady must never be demure. Dragon Lady Rule Number 2: A dragon lady must always be ready to use her weapon. (I assume this fan is for Twister) it's suppose to be on the shoulder, but It didn't work out like that. CrookedWings427
@Septentrion Cool! I was thinking about having it open behind her with her arm reaching upwards towards the top of the fan. Although, i did pull her legs under her butt to look like she could jump up at any time. I must admit the horsea line is loosely based on Temari ^-^" i might try a pose similar to this Edited August 30, 2016 by CrookedWings427 Link to comment
