League Of Pokemon (August 21st)

This is a tournament inspired by League of Legends (or any MOBA-style game by expansion)

 

The 5 Pokemon that each player will battle with in each round will be decided by alternate picks and bans.

 

There will be 2 bans and 5 picks for each player. Wobbuffet will already be banned.

 

The bans count for both players and the picks are unique, meaning that if Player 1 picked a certain Pokemon, Player 2 will be unable to pick it.

 

The first one to pick and ban will be decided by Random Number Generator.

 

The way the Pokemon will be banned and picked will go according to this:

 

Player 1 bans 1 pokemon

Player 2 bans 1 pokemon

Player 1 bans 1 pokemon

Player 2 bans 1 pokemon

 

Player 1 chooses 1 pokemon

Player 2 chooses 2 pokemon

Player 1 chooses 2 pokemon

Player 2 chooses 2 pokemon

Player 1 chooses 2 pokemon

Player 2 chooses 1 pokemon.

Registration Method: Post your IGN in this thread once registration has occurred. I will allow two sign ups per forum account, given they are in different posts. Test posting in this thread will result in being unable to participate in the tournament. Please only sign up players who have asked you to in order to prevent any confusion the day of the tournament. Registration is based on Forum Time. Registration will be first come, first serve.

 

If you are on the bracket for this tournament and cannot attend please send me a PM, or post in the thread letting me know you cannot make it, this lessens the time it takes for signs ups the day of the tournament. Thanks in advance.

 

Notes: 

• Do not AFK Timeout your opponent unless your referee has stated you may. 
• Disconnecting during a match will result in a DQ.
• Do not block your opponents, or the Staff running the Event. If there is evidence of this and disregarding staff requesting you to unblock said individuals you will be DQ'd. 
• Tournament Mode must be used for all duels.

You call your Pokemon that you're going to play with instead of just going into your battles with nobody knowing what you're going to run.

 

Added to that, you get to ban 2 Pokemon (your opponent as well)

 

This will go with alternate picks.

 

For instance: You call out that you're banning Blissey.

 

The opponent call he's banning Heracross

 

You call you're banning Tyranitar

 

Your opponent call he's banning Dugtrio.

 

Then you will get to choose 1 Pokemon to play with, for instance starmie.

 

Then the opponent will get to choose 2 Pokemon.

 

This will go on until each player has chosen 5 Pokemon.

 

Then they will go into battle with these Pokemon in a 5v5 singles format.

 

The choices and bans are unique (so if you have chosen a pokemon, your opponent will be unable to choose it).

 

The choices and bans only count for one battle, so next round will be new choices and bans.

why are you so against this? its for one tourney, its not changing forever. some people want to play it like this because LoL is a popular game and it should be a fun change.
