  1. To be fair, Outrage could be buffed to 100 BP and probably still would't be broken
  2. Not the first player to get such an amazing result but congratulations stillπŸ˜„ Especially since you got good shinies too ! EDIT : Damn I saw the 4th, I indeed haven't seen someone catch 4 in a session
  3. We got a few experts at derailing threads on here, sadly they also happen to be the most active posters ☠️
  4. Not gonna lie, I ain't watching all that uncut raw PVE content but I love the concept. Good effort and gave me a good laugh watching you try to defeat Koga 🀣
  5. I absolutely don't see who you mean πŸ™ƒ Besides there's always worse, doesn't mean it's fine to act like all's good when devs are literally shitting on the playerbase because they randomly decided they're the balance team at Game Freak now
  6. Go explain your suggestion to new players who come in and see Gallade has sharpness in a gen5 environment, feel excited to play it, and don't understand why their rolls don't match the calculator. I don't necessarily dislike your suggestion I just mean that this would not help. The real problem is that the game is absolutely impossible to understand for people who haven't been around for literal years. At least doing 40% instead of 50% power boost can be written in the ability subtext and easily understood, without having to be told by a more experienced player. Altho I agree it's awful for any comp nerd to see those random numbers which don't make any sense My issue with all of this (beginning with the 1.3x nerf) is that MMO is a game with very little competitive resources provided by the playerbase, that's almost impossible to get in for someone who just wants to play some ladder on his own, because there are so many hidden mechanics or rules that don't make sense and aren't written anywhere in-game (cause yea having to go to forums for guides to learn about some game mechanics is not good game design) Like it's already really hard to understand that mons have latest gens movesets with additional moves because we never drop any, that they have gen6 stat boosts for a few of them, new gen abilities but not new gen moves, that Outrage is nerfed and some mons have their best moves removed to nerf them, that exceptionally Dugtrio doesn't have his gen6 stat boosts because that was too strong, that we still have gen5 type effectiveness and typing when everything else is current gen AND that Shadow Tag and Wonder Guard only work for a certain amount of turns before they wear off. Like come on what the hell is that ? There's a lot of work to make Pokemmo's unique metagame/ruleset more clear for the average player, we should avoid to add any more complicated rule if we can
  7. No this is a terrible idea. If you want a reward, work for it. However, they need to rework rewards and give something else to the rest of say top10-20, as currently there's no incentive in playing PVP in Pokemmo anymore (other than aiming for top3 which is not realistic for most of the playerbase)
  8. We don't typically engage in PVP battles before we have a proper PVP team. If you want to challenge random people in the wild with your lvl 9 squirtle, I mean you do you but that ain't competitive mons so obviously it'll be for fun, why would you expect rewards from that ? To be honest clearing Elite 4 represents like 1% of the time you'll spend in the game so it's really not that important to most of us
  9. We don't exactly know what type of mechanics the boss will have right now, but generally having a level 100 modest hydreigon and typhlosion is a good start since those are usually good options in Halloween boss fights and overall good PVE mons for a plethora of battles, so no time/money wasted When it comes to other mons, we will have to figure it out as the event drops ! πŸ˜‰
  10. Been playing 5 years and never seen or heard of that so that makes a lot of sense, ty
  11. Seasons change every month on Pokemmo, besides Falls start in September in real life anyway, what about November ? You don't need to make a thread about every small change that occur as if suddenly Pokemmo is exciting ... Wait & see
  12. Basically Entei does exactly the same as the "main" Arcanine set but better. Arcanine has some side uses like Intimidate + Rocky Helmet or mixed attacker in the sun, but those represent less than like 5% of what Arcanine is used for If you're going for Band or Life Orb 4 moves, just use Entei tbh. And that alone means Entei will not drop bellow UU (also I was assuming it has access to Stone Edge & Sacred Fire in exchange for the loss of Wild Charge and Morning Sun iirc)
  13. New policy of opening threads and warning of what's going on is great. Thank you JJ
  14. It's going to start in OU as every mon does. And it's likely never going down lower than UU, since it's basically a better Arcanine Best you can hope for is to get Arcanine and Jolteon in NU if Raikou/Entei end up in UU
  15. The thing is mixed Toise with Shell EQ Surf has to pick between HP Electric for Mantine and other waters (Milo, Slowking, Vapo) or Ice Beam for dragons and grass (Drudd, Altaria, Sceptile, Lilli ...) Seems like a big 4MSS to have. Doesn't seem free against balanced/defensive teams, the big question being how do you revenge it, but the issue was more or less the same in UU tbh and NU has a few decent priority users as well
  16. No. Clearing regions takes a very little amount of time anyways and at this point the wide majority of the community has cleared everything. Clearing regions should not be the core gameplay in Pokemmo, but an introduction to the game. Devs shoud not focus on such minor QoL changes that affects almost nobody ... 😞 Have a good day ! πŸ˜„
  17. @ChronoRike All those calcs being Jolly medicham which is WAY worse than Adamant. The main use for Jolly Medicham in UU used to be the scarf set (which guaranteed to outspeed Crobat, Jolteon, +1 Feraligatr and such). I would think most wallbreaker Medichams will run Adamant in NU as well (the set we're looking at with Life Orb) From your calcs, pure ghost and pure psychic seem to be the most relevant mons to handle Medicham as we thought Now about UU, Bronzong being gone is very worrying to me. 2nd most used mon in the tier as we speak, and a glue in stall and balanced playstyles. The latter was already suffering from recent changes and borderline unviable. Even more worrying, the viable mons with highest winrates in UU were already : Gigalith (4.3% usage, 61% WR), Quagsire (4.1% / 58% WR), Tentacruel (7.9% u, 57.7% WR), Hippowdon (7.6% u, 56% WR), Donphan (14% u, 56% WR) and a bit further away Sigilyph (5.9% u, 56% WR) all of which benefit GREATLY from Bronzong being gone. To these mons we can add the recently trending Ninjask, Ambipom, as well as older threats such as Flygon, Cloyster, Crobat, Rhyperior, Durant, PorygonZ ... Bronzong single handedly (you could add the much less used Forretress to this argument) forced specific coverage on a lot of Pokemon, such as Roserade, Ambipom, Sigilyph, Xatu, Flygon, Druddigon, Bisharp (Iron/Sucker/Psycut best set in theory without Bronzong) and so on ... It has always been one of the few mons capable of soft checking pretty much every Dragon Dancer and threaten them with Gyroball, preventing certain team archetypes to prevail. It also was capable of winning a duel against most defoggers (except the specific taunt defog roost Mandibuzz or any Heatom) and spinners to be a powerhouse of hazard control in UnderUsed. I know this change is based on usage hence fair, I can simply warn that some mons might become too centralizing or too hard to punish for most teams now that our favorite bell is gone. Rest in peace
  18. Had a good laugh, it's a supportive move, of course it's to be used on support mons ... In just the path 6 months meta I've been using Koff in under used on Machamp, Tentacruel, Venusaur, Toxicroak, Sableye and Gligar. You're mostly looking to remove Dusclops and Gligar's eviolite as well as Bronzong/Rotoms lefties so they can no longer sustain. That move can be key to breaking some common UU & NU defensive archetypes (Rest eviolite mons + Wish cleric). I know a few mons like Mienshao might use it in OU on supporting sets with taunt or toxic, it's not as bad as you think it is. Besides our metagame isn't Showdown's
  19. Is this a sub posting thread ? You guys can't make up your mind to play one game ? 🀣 Tells a lot about the event ...
  20. You know TTar can run a support set with Stealth Rocks, Thunder Wave, Knock off and any of the many more options it has. Wasn't saying that it will outshine the standard sets but it is more relevant than Arbok getting Tspikes that will never ever be used in any of the official tiers I mean sure Haze is an option but Empoleon already had Roar. I would only see Haze being relevant in hard stalls I agree about your point on Torterra, I doubt it suddenly becomes OP, but at least it'll be a viable cleaner in NU now πŸ˜„ Zen Headbut will not be used over rock move but hey it exists at least ...
