I thought the team needed at least one team tournament win to be able to enter. I might remember that wrong. If so I'm so sorry. Edit: To clarify things, I did not want to trash talk NoHa nor exclude you. I'm quite sure that the current line up of yours is capable to win this and it would be a shame to not let you, Vow or another good newer team play because of the ruleset that was made up last event.

If I remember correctly some ghost pokemon (cofa for sure) + Nasty plot were banned for a period of time in 2019 I think. Can't remember if it was because of balancing or if there was a problem with the move it self. Anyway, the banning of a pokemon + a certain move was possible before and it is a thing showdown does too.

The thing about Worldcup is that the quality of gameplay is really low. Many countries (mine included) struggle to find decent players to fill all the necessary spots. Another problem is player sign up for other countries and you really can't do anything about it. As I said before I in theory could sign up for the Netherlands as well as for France and Germany since I have the citizenship (afaik there is no guidelines for it, correct me if I am wrong) or the country I currently live in. Psl teams on the other hand is difficult for now because many of the teams that could sign up are dead (Nore as example) or changed the name (Big part of V4 becoming Vow) or other teams that are stacked but were founded recently like [NoHa] can't sign up. I feel that if we would make exceptions from the sign up criteria that might hurt the integrity of the tournament. Another thing is that this year allready had alot of big tournaments, it is so saturated that I don't see or feel any hype for the end of a 500m(!) price pool tournament. TL DR: Game is dead

World cup is a scam anyway, last Worldcup 3 Germans played for rest of Europe because they had beef with some other Germans and at least 1 played for rest of Asia. If we have a world cup again I'll play for the Netherlands lol.

In a game of resources it's normal for newer players to be behind older ones, and that's completely fair imo. As NagaHex pointed out the boss is by no means inaccessible for new players so I can't get the whining about "breeding niche comps" (bold Chansey and calm Blissey are by no means niche). I stopped playing the event because the boss is one dimensional and the rest is just a skin for the existing Halloween event, really disappointed in the low effort devs put into the 10 years anniversary we all waited for. TL DR: Event is boring

Isn't part of the requirements to have won at least 1 TT and have a couple of players with official wins? Can't be that random if these requirements have to be fulfilled. Still agree with your point tho.

We got a reroll of an existing event, no has for mons we actually want to use and 3 vanities that combined cost 45$. Well worth the wait. Good thing I finally get rewarded for my ot dex completion by getting forced to take pills with out being able to decide.
