  1. don't worry he'll get it in six years
  2. Not that testing and discussing it have had any effect on devs' decisions. Gallade has become incredibly centralizing to teambuilding and to the metagame in general, as everyone knew would happen, and every complaint has been ignored. To not derail the thread, though, and keeping in mind that, like I said, I don't play the format so I'm probably about to drop a stupidity nugget here: with so many problematic mons that are too much for UU but don't make the cut for OU, wouldn't it be a good solution to finally let the BL1 tier emerge as a tier on its own? Keeping a lot of "dead bodies" in OU because they can't drop down feels weird, and of course letting everything drop so "nothing is broken" is nonsensical, so would it be that bad of an idea to let it all crystallize into its own tier? My guess is that it would be foggy when it comes to ranked matches or tournaments, and I get how it's kind of pointless to add what would amount to a "semi-tier", but let's be honest, OU isn't gonna be fixed any time soon because devs are gatekeeping certain "solutions" for "content"'s sake, and the more centralized it becomes, the more stuff that would have never dropped like Kabutops won't make the usage % at the end of the month and will end up having their own thread in this subforum to discuss it. That's what's been happening this year, at the very least. The more people gravitate to the same ten broken/centralizing mons, the more stuff has been dropping to lower tiers mercilessly causing an absolute mess there. EDIT: nevermind I see we're going in the exact opposite direction lmfao
  3. Bronzong going out and Togekiss moving in feels like a bad taste joke and I don't even play the format
  4. 100% this. Not gonna lie, I personally want to use Cresselia, so maybe I'm biased there; but Heatran is a no brainer with our current metagame. Like I mentioned in the PvP subforums, it's not that stuff like Zapdos, Serp etc are insanely broken, but they're too good to not use them and the answers to those are either not enough or directly nonexistant. Heatran "solves" those problems without being an unbeatable force itself, in my opinion.
  5. Heatran came to mind if only because it's a nice switch in even though it doesn't prevent Volt Switch but yeah I agree that the meta needs something appropriate to handle the bird. It's not broken by any means like you've mentioned, and it's not centralizing enough for it to become a problem, but yeah, I'd love to have more variety when it comes to handling it that isn't having to use stuff like Rhyperior.
  6. I've gotten enough hatred AFTER the match was over to know this is not a good idea, not gonna lie. Also my account wouldn't last for much longer after I get hit by the third Hurricane in a row under sun and the first one had already confused my mon. I feel like it's completely perfect as is.
  7. I… I like this suggestion, I don’t know why people are pushing against it. Hurts no one, it’s a cute idea that’s kinda already in the OG game through the radio card and adds a tiny layer of customization, kind of
  8. You can totally choose genders, just keep it female to continue breeding it and choose male in the last step to get a Nidoking at the end. Consider them the same line, it’s just that they’re separated in two species for gender, but they’re the same line when it comes to breeding.
  9. My two cents on this is that even though both Serperior and Gallade are clearly not uber offensive by any means they're INCREDIBLY centralizing for teambuilding. Either you run them or you're basically forced to run a counter exclusively for them. But I'll let better players than me talk about this since my take isn't probably the best.
  10. No please enough of that horrible mechanic already
  11. and yet the entire game revolves around doing exactly that (I do agree with you though)
  12. Wagon? No, no. SIDECARS
  13. Now that they have that tool I’d say it makes perfect sense to replace the single player, triple battle event for a full raid mechanic. Although that’d maybe take away the grinding part of all of it, so maybe not. But when raids were introduced it’s the first thing that came to mind, how similar they were to the Pumpking battle but in an improved, more polished way
  14. Well, that entire event was filled with half finished stuff and we kept getting announcements about how stuff was getting delayed because of the amount of work that was put into Johto, and right after that we got also half finished raids for the same reason, so it's safe to assume it's just something they really wanted to implement but just didn't get done in time rather than assuming they made us grind for no reason at all. Unless what you meant is that they implemented it without a clear direction for it, which I doubt. I think it was more of a bit "more than they can chew" situation than a "we'll just do this and figure it out later" one. And it does check out with everything else going on at that moment. They also changed its item icon a bit later, which further reinforces the idea of them having something planned for it or at the very least them having the item in consideration for *something* Time will tell, I guess
  15. but what if I don't want to share the experience of looking at your sandslash because I love Wailord so much that every follower sprite is Wailord
  16. it took her like a year to realize the Articuno mask is based on Articuno, be nice
  17. impossible to discover without his crucial confession
  18. check this out I made a custom Infernape back sprite
  19. It would’ve been so easy to track TFBO’s score but we were too powerful to be handled
  20. No point in further discussing, then, we clearly have very different views and conclusions on the topic
  21. You got it completely wrong. The fact that time between updates is long with absolutely zero communication from them is the norm doesn't make it right, nor does people complaining about it make them entitled. It's fine not getting updates, it's part of them being a small dev team; however not getting communication EVER is straight up lazy or disrespectful, even if the message would be "still working on stuff, we're on it" that'd still be better than complete radio silence for months. People paying them thousands of dollars probably weekly is already being thankful to them, that's literally what donations are for, and complaining isn't being ungrateful, it's just expressing what people feel is wrong with the game right now in hopes it can change. Acknowledging what they've done very nicely (the game itself, being able to maintain it for so many years, providing the support and updates and taking care of the bugs that may arise, etc etc etc) is not mutually exclusive with holding them accountable to their mistakes (zero communication whatsoever minus the spare Rache post, making secret changes and then complaining they even have to address them when people find out, making changes that the community very loudly hates and ignoring them until they shut up about it as if that means the problem doesn't exist anymore like with Gallade or the legendary system). Sure, people WILL complain about everything. But that's not a valid excuse to completely ignore the playerbase that's making them literally rich, either. There's a balance between how stupid an online community can get to be (incredibly so) and how you treat the majority that aren't entitled toddlers and just wants to genuinely know what's going on with the game they love and put their money and time into. I hate entitled whiners as much as anyone else, when they demand stuff they particularly like being made, but I feel the same when people pull the "we should be on our knees thanking devs for every second they breathe on this Earth" card. No we don't. No one forced them to make the game and then ask for donations for it, the least they could do is at least talk to the community that's donating said money to tell them what they're doing with it instead of ignoring them for half a year, snarkily replying to people on forums who dare question their choices, etc. Like I said, there's a balance. They aren't the lazy monsters people try to paint them as, but for people to KNOW that, communication should happen. I do know that they're working hard on raids, and I'm pretty sure they're gonna be amazing once they're out, but it wouldn't hurt to have all the scattered updates that Rache has been giving here and on private discords instead posted as a forums post in the Updates section to prevent dimwits to scream and to show devs do appreciate the community that is supporting them. Again, not mutually exclusive.
  22. You can lead with a Synchronize mon and spam Quick Balls, they're not mutually exclusive. But still super great and interesting analysis, gotta love when the community delves this deep into game mechanics that we take for granted ♥
