  1. You should adjust this, otherwise looks awesome!
  2. I personally try to avoid the flavored whey products. Most carry artificial flavors and synthesized sugar substances. An ingredient known as Acesulfame is in a lot of those things and its toxicity in humans hasn't been studied well enough for me to trust it. Apparently it kills crustaceans and is being tested in Norway for human consumption. Also the artificial stuff is more prone to cause bowel and GI problems so I stick to my natural whey, "ProMix Grass Fed Whey Protein". No belly ache and tastes great when mixed with some greens, a banana, and a bit of peanut butter. Anything that causes inflammation in the gut isn't something you want to jump on. Short term effects aside it can also lead to increased risks of cancer just from frequent inflammatory responses busting up that gut and wearing it down, requiring repeated repair. These artificial sweeteners are in a lot of (pretty much all) the pre-workouts too.
  3. With our current build in PokeMMO it benefits far greater to use an aggressive strategy in Doubles vs a defensive one. Sure you might run into a random that thinks they figured out an unbreakable defensive core (hey maybe they did), but the likelihood of them playing another defensive team is just a risk we all run. Are you going to run a defensive team? It doesn't sound like it. Will I? Lol no. So please, your criticisms aren't really warranted nor are they necessary. We will always have a choice about what tier we can and will play.

  5. Thanks again Noad, oh and I forgot to add that yes having usage would make for an excellent opportunity for players to get a sense of what is being used. The only benefit I see from Discussion threads these days is that they offer insight into a Pokemon that Smogon doesn't have considering how unique PokeMMO is, so I relate usage to that as well. #hype
  6. Double's Thoughts on Doubles by DoubleJ The Doubles tier is honestly the most strategy based standard tier we have in Pokemon. If you make one mistake it can cost you the entire match. It is very aggressive and relies on you making the correct prediction multiple times. In other words, it's really really fun and truly challenges you as a competitive player. I enjoy both playing the tier and watching it. It is also less reliant on stall play, unlike the other tiers, and requires extra thought into team building. It truly is a tier of its own. With the reliance on strategy there would need to be a reliance on some form of a tiering structure. While it is fun to go balls-to-the-wall, it also isn't fun to switch into a broken attack or broken pokemon. Looking at Doubles right now I'm not very concerned considering the Dragons are somewhat neutralized by faster pokes that can OHKO them, thinking Starmie and Gengar (will carry Ice Punch or HP Ice), as well as pokes boosted by the Rain (Kingdra, Ludi, and Oma). Gyarados looks like an immediate threat, but without Ice Beam or Thunderbolt it is easily stopped by Dragons or other Gyarados. Both of which are also hit really hard by STAB CB Rock Slide (Aero). So right now it balances out quite well without any urgency for an immediate tiering council. But with increased tournaments (I hope) players will learn how to abuse what and some things may need to be discussed (don't ban everything though for fucks sake). So in closing, I would definitely like to see more doubles tournaments. If I had the availability I would start on a team right now and play in every one. Unfortunately I get pretty screwed on those week day tournaments where Doubles will likely fit. Nevertheless there are at least four players in LYLE that are prepped to play Doubles right now. I'm sure that number would grow with further exposure (+1 with me). So more tournaments will result in more players. Hax is definitely a part of Doubles so player base may drop after the initial hype due to pure frustration and also just pure bad plays (players will blame rng but in truth they probably lost after turn three). Thanks Noad!
  7. I personally would argue that Gengar spin-blocks Starmie quite well. Not only does it have a move that will OHKO Starmie after one layer of spikes (unless 252/252+ SpDef Starmie), but it also outspeeds most Starmie variants in the game today considering they are prone to run bulk to stall out certain attacks with recover and also live a Pursuit to recover another day. Not only this, but you brought up an excellent point about Starmie not carrying STAB Psychic either, the only move that has a chance of OHKO'ing Gengar in it's repetoir. So either you run 252+ Speed to beat Gengar and carry STAB Psychic, or you predict a Gengar bring in with Surf for a chance at a 2HKO if you're faster. Unfortunately you will need to have 252 SpAtt to 2HKO Gengar with either Tbolt or Ice Beam, and that is still a huge longshot. So in my assessment it's pretty damn close to being safe for Gengar to switch in on Starmie when spikes are up and if you get hit, well shit, you scare Starmie away if it's slow and Pain Split against a healthier foe later for all that health back. tl;dr Gengar is a fucking monster. EDIT: Also, if you run a fast somewhat bulky Gengar, that STAB Psychic might not kill you either.
  8. If you do this then you should probably disqualify previous winners from registering for future qualifiers then for the sake of fairness
  9. Picked up some Glutamine tabs. Let's see how they do.

  13. A good hustle you can do is walk into the gym and tell someone behind the counter that you've never been there and that you're interested in joining but want to have someone show you around. While they give you a tour ask all the questions you possibly could. Then when the tour is over you never have to look back. Ask about what workouts you should start with and what kind of food you should start eating (also what to avoid). I'll be straight with ya too. A sedentary lifestyle plus a carbo rich pizza diet isn't going to help you out much. Sounds like nait had some tips for ya though.
  14. These guys all gave you a sound idea of what you need to get after. As the OG Naitdawg said you need to burn more calories than you bring in and develop that deficit. This means you have to be active while eating better and sometimes less. Avoid late-night carbs and low-quality foods. As fred said, the closer to natural the better. This is simply because our body is able to rip apart those processed foods too easily. This is because most of the digestion is already done for you (note processed). With this in mind the body is able to absorb more as the food is digested throughout the gut. Eating something closer to a natural substance lessens this and actually improves gut function and motility (think how high fiber diets work). My advice is to hit a gym and have a 1on1 consult with a trainer about diet. Once you get your diet on lock talk to them again about gradually introducing yourself to some simple exercises. Those two consults should be all you need to get you started. gl brah
  15. I'm doing quite well. Only approximately 1 month left of my first year in medical school. How are you?
