    Hi everyone,

We're temporarily disabling sales of Temporary Incubators until next month.

For the few people who already bought some, they'll be refunded. For the very few people who already activated them, they will have their uses set to 1 and be automatically refunded.

In the meantime, permanent incubators are here to stay and we'll see how we can improve the system.

    Shiny Wars 2025

PokeMMO's Shiny Wars 2025 event is on! Visit here for current leaderboard information:

For the duration of this event, wild encounters' shiny rates are increased by +10%.
This rate increase does not affect eggs, fossils, Mysterious Balls, purchases from Marts, or Shedinja

    General Changes
When chatting on Desktop, if the chat frame is minimized and you receive a Whisper, you will now receive a notification
Added an option to disable Spectate notifications
When Sleeping, monsters now close their eyes. When not, they can now blink
Swarm data has been updated to include new species
    Spindas now have unique appearances
Many user interfaces, such as the Guild and Bag are now more controller-accessible
When an out of battle move is hotkeyed, the number displayed is now the actual uses of the out of battle skill, instead of the remaining PP
This affects moves which consume > 1 PP per out of battle usage, like Sweet Scent
When used, Sweet Scent can now automatically replenish its PP using Leppa Berries / Ethers in the player's inventory
Shiny monsters now show a unique particle in the Summary
Eggs now use unique sprites depending on the species Type
When interacting with the Daycare Man, players can now directly access full functionality of the PC

    Egg Incubators
Eggs can no longer hatch while in the Party
Incubators' hatch speed can be sped up by keeping a party member with Flame Body / Magma Armor in a special PC slot
Incubators can be fully managed without needing to be at a PC
Players can now obtain up to 8 Permanent Incubators throughout the storyline:
5 Incubators are given when players first meet the Daycare Man of each region
1 Incubator can be obtained after defeating the Elite 4
1 Incubator can be obtained after defeating Ho-Oh in a Rematch
1 Incubator can be obtained after defeating Red in Mt. Silver
Players who have already met the criteria for the bonus incubators will have them automatically applied to their character when they first talk to the Daycare Man

For this update, eggs obtained through the storyline will continue to be hatched while in the party. This will be changed in a later game update

    Encounter Tracker
The Encounter Tracker is now available as a Dex upgrade for players who have defeated the Elite 4 in any region. This upgrade will be automatically applied to your Dex upon login if already valid
The Encounter Tracker keeps track of your total number of encounters, including wild encounters, alpha encounters, raid battles, Mysterious Balls, Eggs, and Fossils
The Encounter Tracker also keeps track of all Shiny encounters
The current Wild Shiny Rate for your character is now shown in this widget.
Note that the number displayed (wild shiny rate) does not necessarily match the rate applied to non-wild encounters

    Global Trade Link Updates
    Item Market Updates
Item listings now show the current lowest prices available for an item
Players can now quickly buy multiple listings simultaneously
Price trend data is now shown in the GTL
Create Auction will now show basic information about an item's current pricing
GTL Listings can now have their prices updated without needing to re-list
When purchasing color vanity items, players can now quickly search for / select specific color entries of an item
    Many more improvements!

    New Items
Pure Amulet is now available through the Battle Points shop
It prevents the item holder's stat stages from being lowered by foes. It doesn't prevent moves which clear effects like Mist
Eject Pack is now available through the Battle Points shop
If the item holder's stats are lowered, it will immediately switch to another party member of your choosing

    Text Processing Improvements
PokeMMO now uses an external text wrapping engine for many common user interfaces, including Mail and Tooltips
Many areas of the client are now localized to the user's settings, including all time / date display formats
Alphabetical sorting now respects Unicode standards for non-latin languages
Improved text abbreviation behavior in many areas

Text processing improvements are a work in progress which will be continued to work on through the next few game updates. The intention with these changes is to provide localized text processing behaviors, instead of relying on existing latin character set-based solutions which don't work well for our CJK-speaking audiences. We welcome feedback for improvements in this area.

    Gift Shop
The Orange and Blue Flaming Swords are now available in the Gift Shop for a limited time

Chum Buckets are now available in the Gift Shop
A special type of charm which attracts foes in the water. When active, rods will always catch foes, and may catch more than one at a time.
Sweet Scent Ocarinas are now available in the Gift Shop
This item requires recharging PP by healing your party or using PP healing items. It keeps the same number of charges usable in the overworld as the normal Move (6).

This game update also implements a gift shop history browser in the game client.

Fixed the Sweet Scent usage prompt not respecting "close" button behavior
Fixed Shaymin's sprite position in the Summary Frame when the Sky Forme option is available
Fixed Zen Mode's activation percentage rounding
Previously, Zen Mode would not activate when Belly Drum was used. Now, Zen Mode tests if the current hp is <= half of its maximum
Fixed an issue where battles could lock up if a King of the Hill legendary was not in party slots 0 or 5, and the holder lost the battle
Gastro Acid now fails if the target has Substitute

Bestfriends reacted to Desu in Devs - Quick PRNG Question
For certain high value events like shininess, ivs, egg randomness, mysterybox items we use a shared SecureRandom instance with no seeding. This means everyone shares the same high quality random source.

For low value events like battle events, we use ThreadLocal pseudorandom number generators. These are similar to the random number generator you'd expect in a single player game, but these are shared between many players. Due to the way networking and scheduling work, it's unpredictable which thread will process a request, and therefore which of these random instances will be used.

This ends up being a very simple API which we call whenever random numbers are needed. Something like Rng.get(0, 4) to get a random number between 0 and 4.

tl;dr, there's no user specific data involved in the pseudorandom number generators.

But that patch of grass is in an area called Dragonspiral Tower instead of Icirrus City:

And looking at Mienfoo, it also lists that place as Dragonspiral Tower, as Icirrus City doesn't appear on his Wild Locations tab:

Don't you think it would be better to label that place (Outside) Dragonspiral Tower?

Pokemon Experience Type Level Index (PokeMMO Version)

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are enjoying your time here on PokeMMO. There was a slight issue that I came across yesterday that a guide may be able to fix. Due to my busy schedule, I asked someone to level two of my pokemon to 100. He then asked me what the Experience Level was on a pokemon, so I had to look up the number in the summary box. This guide plans on addressing this exact concern. Hopefully you can find this index helpful! Without further ado, lets dive into all the Pokemon's Experience Types!

To look for a specific Pokemon or Item, you can either do CNTL + F for Computer or "Find In Page" for mobile devices.

Before I list all the pokemon, first we need to know about a few items that may help you level:

Exp. Share = An item to be held by a Pokemon. The holder gets a share of a battle's Exp. Points without battling. There can be a total of five holders of the item that can benefit from the Exp. Gain, however your Exp. will be split up quite a bit. Here is a chart of how the Exp. Distribution will be split fi you hold the item:

No One = 100% Exp. Gain
One Holder = 50% Exp. Gain
Two Holders = 25% Exp. Gain; 50% for the Leader
Three Holders = ~16.67% Exp. Gain; 50% for the Leader
Four Holders = 12.5% Exp. Gain; 50% for the Leader
Five Holders = 10% Exp. Gain; 50% for the Leader
Six Holders (including the Leader) = ~8.33% Exp. Gain; ~58.33% for the Leader

Six Holders (including the Leader) = ~8.33% Exp. Gain; ~58.33% for the Leader (credit to @NoGoodLife for informing about six holders and the brief correction).

Rare Candy = A candy that is packed with energy. It raises the level of a single Pokemon by one.

EXP Candy (XS) = A candy packed with energy. It increases a Pokemon's Experience by a fixed amount. +500 EXP

EXP Candy (S) = A candy packed with energy. It increases a Pokemon's Experience by a fixed amount. +1,250 EXP

EXP Candy (M) = A candy packed with energy. It increases a Pokemon's Experience by a fixed amount. +3,000 EXP

EXP Candy (L) = A candy packed with energy. It increases a Pokemon's Experience by a fixed amount. +10,000 EXP

EXP  Candy (XL) = A candy packed with energy. It increases a Pokemon's Experience by a fixed amount. +30,000 EXP

Lucky Egg (Small) = Time only consumed while online. An item which increases the amount of EXP gained for a short period of time. Stacks with other bonuses. Consumed upon use. Effects last for 30 minutes. x1.5 EXP gain!

Lucky Egg = Time only consumed while online. An item which increases the amount of EXP gained for a short period of time. Stacks with other bonuses. Consumed upon use. Effects last for 1 hour. x2 EXP gain!

EXP Charm (+25%) = Time only consumed while online. A charm which increases the player's party EXP gain. Stacks with other bonuses. Consumed upon use. Effects last for 1 hour. Link members receive a 10% Bonus.

EXP Charm (+50%) = Time only consumed while online. A charm which increases the player's party EXP gain. Stacks with other bonuses. Consumed upon use. Effects last for 1 hour. Link members receive a 10% Bonus.

EXP Charm (+100%) = Time only consumed while online. A charm which increases the player's party EXP gain. Stacks with other bonuses. Consumed upon use. Effects last for 1 hour. Link members receive a 10% Bonus.

Donator Status Ticket - 7 Days = This item is untossable! An item which can be used to promote your account to Donator Status. Donator Status benefits include: +25% EXP in battles, +10% chance of encountering shinies, and +10% faster egg hatching, +5% extra money upon winning battles against trainers.

Donator Status Ticket - 15 Days = This item is untossable! An item which can be used to promote your account to Donator Status. Donator Status benefits include: +25% EXP in battles, +10% chance of encountering shinies, and +10% faster egg hatching, +5% extra money upon winning battles against trainers.

Donator Status Ticket - 30 Days = This item is untossable! An item which can be used to promote your account to Donator Status. Donator Status benefits include: +25% EXP in battles, +10% chance of encountering shinies, and +10% faster egg hatching, +5% extra money upon winning battles against trainers.

EXP Reamplifier = An item which splits experience and EVs among all healthy party members. This account-bound item has infinite use and may be toggled on or off at any time while out of battle. Exp. Share effects are negated while this item is active. 25% of battle EXP gained is shared among active pokemon, while 75% is split between pokemon which don't participate (including battlers). Each pokemon also gains an additional 5% of the total amount earned from the battle (basically, a permanent 30% exp. gain).

It should also be noted that you can stow away up to 9 Pokemon in all the Daycares combined (1 in Route 5 [Kanto] + 2 in Four Island [Kanto] + 2 in Route 117 [Hoenn] + 2 in Solaceon Town [Sinnoh] + 2 in Route 3 [Unova]). EXP gain through the Daycare is by 20% EXP from your battle (implying that you can gain EXP from that battle). The benefit to the Daycare is that you cannot evolve a pokemon while it is in there, however, moves will be overwritten. So if you have a particular moveset on your pokemon or want the process to go a bit faster, then you should either use the items or consult with a leveler at the Trade Corner.

There is also a Trade Bonus of +15% EXP in fights if the pokemon is not from the Original Trainer (OT).

In-depth Money Making Guide - Multiple Methods (2nd Edition)

Before you read this guide, I would like to thank @KaynineXL for his trust in me to restore his In-depth Money Making Guide - Multiple Methods Guide.

Feel free to check out the First Edition of this guide.

This video was made by @Patrouski2. It was well researched and very informative.

Table of Contents - Recommended Methods - Island Run and NPC Rematches - Payday/Pickup - Farming Items - GTL Flipping - Berry Farming - Other ____________________________________   What should I do first? 1. Start off by doing your NPC run as it is quite simple to do.
    2. Next, do your Gym rematching, it's great money and isn't too difficult.
    3. Thirdly, try to take items like Everstones, Leftovers, etc. and sell them on the Global Trade Link.
    4. Lastly, you can go ahead and read through my guide to see what else you want to do. Me personally, I like to go Artisan Cave with my Meowth and payday the Smeargles while having the chance to find Silk Scarfs with Pickup, or... If you're lucky, find yourself a Shiny Smeargle.

Farming Berries You should be farming berries every chance you get, they're very good money when sold in GTL. One Important thing to do before planting seeds is to check the berry which you will be harvesting to see the growth time, make sure to calculate when it will be full grown. There's no point having it fully grown in the middle of the night because the longer you leave it as fully grown, the less berry yield you get. Try have it fully grown at a suitable time for you.   Best berries for profit? Leppa Berries EV Reducing Berries Lum Berries Sitrus Berries Petaya/Leichi/Salac Berries
If you need seeds, plant berries to harvest seeds.
Plant 3 Bitter Seeds = Rawst Berry which harvests into Plain & Very Bitter Seeds
Plant 3 Dry Seeds = Chesto Berry which harvests into Plain & Very Dry Seeds
Plant 3 Sour Seeds = Aspear Berry which harvests into Plain & Very Sour Seed
Plant 3 Spicy Seeds = Chari Berry which harvests into Plain & Very Spicy Seeds
Plant 3 Sweet Seeds = Pecha Berry which harvests into Plain & Very Sweet Seeds

If you are new to farming and need help, go to my berry farming page which goes more in-depth by clicking here.

    Gym Rematching
    Notes:
You can rematch gyms by simply speaking to them once you've defeated the elite four in Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. Gyms located in Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova region offer rematches. Each gym has a 18 hour cooldown once defeated. Every gym rematch is a doubles battle. Gyms lead Pokemon can differ on each fight. Gym rebattles have pokemon around level 80 - 90 every time. For more detail on certain Gym Sets and movesets, then please check out the guides linked in the Spoiler:
Island Run This one is a classic that has been done for years. If you just completed the Story Mode for the Kanto Region, then feel free to swing by and fight the NPCs here at the Islands. Make sure to have your Amulet Coin Boost on before trying it for maximum effectiveness.   Other NPCs
Other than the Islands in Kanto, there are certain NPCs that you should visit to earn a little more of an allowance. Once you seek them out, they can be fought for in game cash. Here are some examples of who you may want to contact:
Seven Stars Restaurant at the Valor Lakefront
During the Daytime in game, you can swing by the Seven Stars Restaurant in the Sinnoh Region for some battles with the patrons that give a decent salary. One Amulet Coin Boost and great Double Battles on the side is a recipe for battling paradise. You can only fight each couple one time. Once you battle them, then you cannot battle them again.

Table of Contents - Recommended Methods - Island Run and NPC Rematches - Payday/Pickup - Farming Items - GTL Flipping - Berry Farming - Other ____________________________________ Island Runs FAQ
    Requirements
A level 100, typically people would use a Starmie with 4 attacks like the one shown below (I even equip it with the Mystic Water item to boost Water Type moves by +20% not to mention the Same Type Attack Bonus). You can also use a level 100 Persian with Payday (Make sure that Persian has the ability Technician for an extra power boost in the move. I usually only use Persian on Isle 5 because they use the special walls like Chansey and Clefable so Starmie takes a little longer. You'd probably struggle with the rock and steel types on Isle 6 but maybe if Water Pulse could ohko them it wouldn't be bad, I'v never tried).       Amulet Coins and Riches Charms (+75% or +100%) are Charm Based Items that are perishable. You will have a +50% Boost from Amulet Coin or a +75% Boost from the Riches Charm +75% or a 100% Boost from the Riches Charm +100%. There is a time limit of 1 hour for the use of your money boosting charm of your choice. These Charms cannot stack together, you have to use them one at a time. You should be on an Amulet Coin Boost for extra cash (battle the NPCs fast because you only have 1 hour to do it). It's probably worth EV training your lvl 100s most used attacking stat(Sp attack for Starmie for example). PP max your moves if you really want to go hard core with this.   Method Efficient island run ● - Defeat green circle trainers. With this run, you are only battling the most profitable trainers. It's good to use this method when you use multiple alternative accounts, which is decent cash. Use this if you're lazy(like me).   Good all round run ● - Defeat green & orange circle trainers. This is a good run for those that aren't lazy. It's a good all round run which I'd say most people do. Your standard run.   Desperate times run ● - Defeat green, orange & red circle trainers. Maybe you need that extra bit of cash, or you have a lot of leveling to do, that's the only time I'd do these trainers because they don't give much cash or they're too out of the way.     Isle 5 The green dots on the northern island are the best trainers in the game for cash, always do those. The Ladies at Resort Generous (north of Isle 5) give $3,264 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $4,896 with it.     Isle 6 Do every single trainer here, Juggler Edward gives $1,920 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $2,880 with it. Hiker Daryl gives $1,728 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $2,592 with it. PokeManiac Hector gives $2,304 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,456 with it. PokeManiac Stanly gives $2,160 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,420 with it. Ruin Maniac Foster gives $2,256 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,384 with it. Ruin Maniac Larry gives $2,304 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,456 with it.   Isle 7 The two to the north are alright I guess, I do those when I'm not lazy. The first group of green circles to the south are good, the one is a doubles trainer which I'm not fond of but they only have 2 Pokemon and give about 3k, worth it. As you're going east, there is another doubles trainer battle, they have like 5-6 Pokemon and I find double battles annoying when I'm not paying attention so I usually just skip it, you can do it though. The rest to the south are all good, so do those. Juggler Manson gives $1,920 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $2,880 with it. Pkmn Ranger Nicolas gives $2,016 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,024 with it. Pkmn Ranger Madeline gives $2,016 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,024 with it. Pkmn Ranger Jackson gives $2,016 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,024 with it. Pkmn Ranger Katelyn gives $2,016 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,024 with it. Tamer Evan gives $1,960 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $2,940 with it. Ruin Maniac Brandon gives $2,256 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,384 with it. Gentleman Clifford gives $2,632 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,968 with it. Ruin Maniac Benjamin gives $2,304 without the Amulet Coin Boost and $3,456 with it.       Extra Locations: Route 15 Beauty Olivia -  Without Amulet Coin Boost: $2,576; With the Boost: $3,864 with it. Beauty Grace - Without Amulet Coin Boost: $2,688; With the Boost: $4,032 with it. Route 13 Beauty Sheila - Without Amulet Coin Boost: $2,688; With the Boost: $4,032 with it. Hiker Trent - Without Amulet Coin Boost: $1,728; With the Boost: $2,592 with it. Hiker Clark - Without Amulet Coin Boost: $1,656; With the Boost: $2,484 with it. Route 8 (west of Lavender) Gamer Rich - Without Amulet Coin Boost: $2,632; With the Boost: $3,948 with it. The regular grass refers to the grass by the entry point to Dragonspiral Tower (where people typically shiny hunt Mienfoo at). However I made a new category just for the Puddle itself.

*I guess the puddle is considered the regular grass. On OP it's labeled Icirrus City (Grass Horde)

I would rather ride something that screams fun like a swimming tube or a sail boat than a round underwater hoover board with eyes.

This Sailor NPC is waiting for the PokeMMO developers to give him a job.

What will be the new features you may ask, well I have some ideas that I would like to share for future gift shop surfing vanities:

    1. Sail Boat

    2. Lapras sprite

    3. (Thank Rigamorty for this suggestion) Staryu Sprite

    4. (Thank WolfgangDamien for this suggestion) Gyarados

    5. Milotic

    6. Wooden Board

    7. Life saver tube

    8. Swimming tube

    9. (Thank SamariHunter for this suggestion) Surfboard

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall, I would look at my cheesy surf sprite when I go somewhere, and I would like to look at something more entertaining. The bikes stood out, but I would like surf sprites to also stick out as well. I would rather ride something that screams fun like a swimming tube or a sail boat than a round underwater hoover board with eyes.
