  1. Potentially Jirachi - https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Wishing_Stone#Use But most likely included as an addition to the feature coming, like raids:
  2. Articuno has been confirmed, this will obviously drop down to NU over time. The interesting thing to note is since they will be rotating as well, we'll likely see Zapdos soon. Although not broken, I definitely see this being potentially really strong in the tier.
  3. I agree with everything Caioxlive said
  4. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, Draco Meteor is incredibly strong and there are few switch-ins against it, but it also pressurises the increasing amount of defensive/stall teams we've seen in the tier which has made the tier incredibly boring (from what I've seen at least) and encourages people to play more offensively. I feel we should keep it for now, especially since we're not sure what devs are planning to introduce for the anni/christmas updates.
  5. Man why are you being so harsh, for some people this is the only thing going on in their life...
  6. take @kiwi @Toxicz @Yaser @CarolML @zStrafq I'm not sure if arrangements were made with other middlemen but I can confirm I received a vanity from Drew for Kiwi - @kiwi please can you mail 20m when you can so the bet is accepted? Update: I received 20m from Kiwi, I can confirm the bet is active @drewq @kiwi @PoseidonWrath Lava tied the week with BR so the 2m bet was void, however if you confirm you're happy with this I will confirm the 2m bet for Oa vs lava.
  7. Stop derailing this discussion, if you have any generic comments just go to the OU Discussion section. Nobody has addressed Draco Meteor really being a concern from what I'm aware.
  8. Once again thank you @gbwead and TC for helping these movements become more stable
  9. I've had loads of good memories when being in all the teams I've been a part of, but like others have mentioned, my favourite in particular would be when I won Team Tournament & Team Of The Year with Optic in 2022. First, it was because this was the team that brought me into the PvP scene in the game after putting it off for so long (which if I hadn't would've made me bored of the game much quicker). Second, I met so many amazing people there who I still keep in touch with and finally, it was because we accomplished what many thought was impossible considering the circumstances and made Optic a serious competitive force in 2022. A huge part of helping to make that happen was thanks to @Onraider alongside many others - you're one of the most kindest, genuine people in the community right now and you've definitely reigned me in multiple times. Sorry to see you leave the game and I wish you the best for the future!
  10. Bronzor, Milotic, Slowking, Cryogonal, Audino, Lanturn and Miltank to name a few - out of that list I would say Bronzor + Audino + Slowking are the best depending on your playstyle. AV Eelektross, AV Hitmontop/Hitmonchan - these three aren't walls but are pretty bulky and adds that bit more offensive pressure. Regarding why NU isn't as active, devs introducing Randoms was a huge factor, but most people tend to play at the beginning/end of each season.
  11. That isn't the point, for context I sold them when they were 6m+, I was talking about the community and their mindset in general. This was more of a response I was looking for.
  12. But these items were high in demand at the time and in my opinion even though are more common look way nicer than the rabbit.
  13. Hello there, I wanted to bring up something that has brought my attention and always wondered but never understood the logics - and that's how the community in this game thinks economically so I would like to hear your thoughts. This has happened with many vanity items, but the one that has interested me are the Pumpcat and Trick Kitty vanities. These originally cost 2,000 RP, which were around 4.8-5m at the time. These items were very popular, and shortly after the event had ended, increased in price. Now, only a few days later, the price for both have dropped significantly and below their initial 1,000 RP price which means everyone who is selling now is making a loss of profit. So my question is when many players had a chance to grind extra cash during Halloween and/or other methods, why do they behave like this and are keen to lose profit? I understand the market is currently oversaturated with these items, which may cause panic among players, but other vanities like the Golden Dragon Mask haven't experienced this - the main example I can think of which is similar is the Golden Tiger Mask. There's no true purpose to this topic, but I always found this mindset to be stupid, so please share your thoughts.
  14. I will just end this conversation by stating some points for you to consider: People are going to be focusing on TCL and PCL, before PSL likely begins in the new year. Both competitions include UT as a format, and both have good prize pools which is a huge motivation for people participating as these events tend to take a good 2 months and lots of commitment If the 6 warm-ups include 6 for each tier, then I personally wouldn't bother. People will probably consider these as a smaller upgrade to Community Combats, and many just use those to test their teams since UU/NU ladder is usually dead If you want people to gain interest in the competition, you should realistically hope for a donation of at least 30-50m depending on how many winners and participants there will be Regarding the tour's objective, Luke is already hosting one for OU which has a lot of well established players If you're willing to spend your time organising this that's fair enough, it's your choice, and I may participate if I have time, but if you're left scratching your head wondering why nobody cares about this competition, just consider the points above.
  15. The introduction of Randoms on ladder heavily reduced the number of UU/NU games you would be able to find, but currently it's the Halloween event and usually during Event Season (Halloween/Christmas/CNY/Anniversary) players focus on grinding the event and not playing ladder - even the number of OU games are significantly reduced. The best times to generally find games in lower tiers are during the first few weeks of the new season (happens every 3 months) or the last month when people are grinding ELO to qualify for the UU/NU East and West Seasonal Crown Tournaments. Otherwise, I would suggest playing in official tournaments and CCs that happen fairly frequently, or wait until the event is over where more people will likely play again.
  16. They honestly aren't that expensive and players have the chance to grind with Halloween and upcoming events, there honestly isn't much excuse.
  17. So currently these are 'warm up' tournaments - how many of these are there going to be? Doesn't it make sense to just host these as 'qualifying' tournaments and then just begin the actual tournament as soon as possible? It feels like this event is just dragging on and there's no actual 'purpose', whereas with the other tournaments players actually know what the aim of the tournament is (e.g. TCL is to see who has the best team, PCL is a gimmick event but also competitive, PSL is to identify the most experienced individuals etc...) - I don't see this with PGS/grand slam/whatever it is anymore.
  18. Having been around since the first Halloween Event, I noticed a few significant changes: Special Candies used to have a rare chance of being obtained when defeating the kids (before the mini-bosses were implemented) - there was a time when the prices for a special candy rose to 250k, but now they're currently too low/easy to obtain. I think there needs to be a middle-ground around this so that they're worth the effort and rewards (currently 10k as I speak) The boss fight becoming so predictable that strategies are easy to figure out, alongside the continuous nerfs by devs making the fight not only predictable, but even easier to complete (the easy mode boss can literally be completed in 3 minutes) The community is just generally really dumb economically - they complain about the rich players but enable them to get richer by stocking up on the bags due to their incredibly low prices (I've never seen the pumpking goodie bags this low, even in 2022 they dropped no lower than 40-45k) I would propose the following: Making the special canidies harder to obtain but in a more creative way, finding a way for the prices to be worth around 50-100k instead of the incredibly high prices (e.g. 250k) or the current low prices we have now Implement more attractive and a wider variety of prizes in the bags - I know it's a risk but this year there are no attractive items, not even the Ghostly Lantern is desirable (especially compared to the Shadow Bone Club) Make the boss itself different or implement an additional boss fight for even greater rewards Also, I feel this event has dragged on so long, I don't know why we needed almost 2 weeks for this when other games only had a Halloween event for a few days. The event is cool, but from a player and economic side of view, this year didn't seem like a success, and the same will follow with the CNY/Xmas events.
  19. Please can this be moved to a time like 3-4pm UTC, this is a good time for everyone involved.
  20. Looking for team, mainly prefer UU/NU. Contact me here or on Discord if interested. Found a team.
  21. The Ghostly Lantern is confirmed as the Ultra Rare Event Item for 2023 - this can only be obtained by opening the Pumpking Goodie Bags (defeating the boss in hard mode). For reference, in 2022 the item was the Shadow Bone Club.
