  1. I am NOT against banning mienfoo, it helps control half the threats LC has like (uh... everything?), the best knock off user of the game, it can literally be considered uber support for your team, it is broken. It has 80% usage, and has viable counters like.... uh nevermind. Arena trap punishes those Pokemon that can somewhat counter support mienfoo while being fucked and outright smashed by a more offensive set.
  2. I create a petition to either prevent some people from posting here or change the title thread ty.
  3. The following players have their contract renewed: From Villains: Busso: 1200k -> 1300k Lkrenz: 600k -> 650k From Blazikens: Pinkwings: 50k -> 100k
  4. Yes I could've rephrased it to include leftovers on everyone or something of the sort and rocks and whatever, you're right. Either way the point stands, Without the revealed teams, like you said, we cannot really enforce rematches at all. #nextseasonwillbebetter #withworsehosts
  5. Let me give you a concrete example: Game 1: Infernape full hp vs hippowdon + salamence + Blissey (Revealed set: Close combat - Hidden set: Hp ice, flame, grass knot) Game 2: Infernape full hp vs hippowdon + salamence + Blissey (Revealed set: Close combat - Hidden set: Mach punch, rocks, grass knot) Game 1: Infernape player disconnected. He had the 100% win if they dont misclick. What can hosts do? According to your logic, if we gonna go with the fair decision, we either offer the infernape player the win or enforce a rematch. The unfair decision would be giving the win to the opponent. Now let's take a look into Game 2: Infernape player sees they cannot win, because they cannot beat salamence at all. But then he knows we made the fair decision on game1, so all they have to do is to disconnect on purpose, claim they had the easy win, and get a free rematch or a free win in a game that was lost. And since we cannot really have different decisions on similar circumstances, being fair or not becomes irrelevant because that "fair" decision allows for super easy exploits, which are inherently not fair at all. Regarding what Nik said, and some other people. It might be unviable, but we might take a look into it cause it "partially" fix the issue, and hey, its better than nothing. However, none of the players sent their team to us prior to disconnect (Why would they?), and therefore we cannot really go for the "fair" decision here, without setting a precedent of that magnitude. Now, we can get more effort into doing something similar of what Nik proposed next season, if able, but in this season, same rules for everyone. Tldr; the decision might be unfair in your case, but you cannot guarantee it is always unfair in the same circumstances, and in the same system we currently possess. Thank you.
  6. This is just unrealistic af. We statistically cannot control at a legit extent stuff like rolls and every other stuff in a decent span of time.
  7. That's what we kinda have with the 3-turn rule. Is 3 turns too little? Maybe. Could it be increased? Maybe. But people were granted the option to complain before the event started and they didn't. Either way, no matter what number is chosen, it should be fixed and unchanged for the rest of the season once it starts. Edit: Let me elaborate, even the 3 turn is somewhat abusable, although on a low magnitude. The higher that number the more abusable such a system becomes. Let's assume I get frozen in the first X turns, or I get high rolled in the same X turns, or crit, or whatever. I can simply disconnect and replay the first X turns for an higher chance of success. And as some smart member pointed out. Pokemmo isn't the place to expect good sportsmanship at all. Tldr; The higher the X number is, the more abusable such system becomes.
  8. Out of curiosity (We are well aware that rules need polishing and are far from perfect). But how would you word your rulings regarding similar circumstances without setting exploitable precedents? PS: Anyone is welcomed to answer this.

  12. Title: How conk invalidates pure offense. Posts (argumentating a ban): - Ban guts cause burns (that spammed status in HO). - Sheer force orb Conk does almost same damage as guts. - B-but guts leftovers is op vs cofagrigus (Another common used mon in HO). *flees*
  13. It's ok. I could also have explained it better, my bad.
  14. I don't think Quinn is understanding the meaning of coaching. Coaching is, by definition, and as pointed out, any call that helps the player's decision making, and believe it or not, itemrevealing, setrevealing or naturerevealing all fall within that category, and aren't allowed, no matter in where they are revealed. With this in mind, pming the extra info instead of posting it publicly is even worse, and if anyone decides to do so, they are putting themselves and the respective player at risk with appropriate punishments. Now, ofc, it is incredibly hard to confirm coaching, but please keep in mind that, if we happen to find out, it won't be pretty. To answer @redbluegreen, I believe there are some levels of info reveal. And although rules are indeed quite vague and those levels are subjective, we probably wouldnt punish any call in normal chat stating: "Grass Knot infernape ez haha" because thats common and, as you said, the player should play assuming those kind of common variables in mind. However, that was not what happened. Revealing with confidence a nature that is not the most common can affect the outcome of the match and is not to be "assumed" beforehand. Either way, won't get into this convo again because I'd just be repeating myself. Thank you all. *flees*
  15. not quite. Calling out a nature is sometimes equivalent to telling the guy what he should do with the added information. Thats the deffinition of coaching. I apologize if its not clear crystal in rules, but feels like common knowledge, ty.
  16. So, because transparency is key, let me share hosts approach regarding this incident: - Given the revealed information, Crist didnt have a 100% guaranteed win, if they misplayed. (Hidden information is irrelevant cause there is no way to confirm) - Enforcing a rematch goes against our rules, unless in the specified instances. - Giving the win to Cristhian sets a not so hard to abuse precedent for the future (Example: Assuming some noob gets a 100% win with grass knot infernape that is not revealed in end game. They dont have grass knot so they can DC, claiming the win - Granted its not common to happen, but it can and it can be abused) - Therefore, and no matter how shitty the decision might sound in this specific situation, we decided to give the wins to Nincadas. Thank you all.
  17. Devil Baties vs The Trashtalking Tiellows?
  18. I hereby sign that Bats will win this week. Furthermore, any behavior that goes against this outcome won't be tolerated and will be severely punished. Wish you all a good day.
