This is legit and is going to happen. Only issue is ensuring their using the caught Pokemon and not some ringer they bought off GTL.

SDC never bamboozles and is looking for fun and interesting ideas to give away good ol' cash, items, and vanities. At least $50m cash will be flung out by end of April. At least $100m cash will be flung out by the end of April. I've done the "Find SDC" a lot and its gotten a bit stale, but is extremely easy and quick to host without dealing with a ton of whispers/mail for entries. Unsure how much I've given away doing these. I've also done the "guess a number 1-10" in global and got frowned upon by the mods. That started because someone else held a fake one giving away a shiny, so I had to actually host a real one. Holding a catching contest is just so damn tedious I'm not really into hosting them. I'll fund a few though. Anyone have some interesting ideas of contests so I can give away some stuff? For the majority of the contests, I like them where there's not really any insane PvP, so even nubs can win them if it's a Togepi Metronome battle or Safari Zone hunt battle. Edit: 66.3m+ in shinies and cash funded so far, still 43m+ to go. I pay hosting fees for events too, those aren't included in the total. Also have given ~28m away myself.

Just saw your meme thread. Why was the money sent back? You advertised properly and there was no bamboozle.

Also, what is stopping someone from having their teammates buy tickets or buying tickets on their alts in hopes of showing "more action" and making money by shady ways like that? Definitely should be a dedicated forum and maybe like X raffles per month per user. As Quakkz just said, a lot of these are just random ass shinies bought off GTL and being auctioned for 2x what they bought it for. While that's not inherently wrong, it just clogs the forums.

Going to give my unneeded opinion and also say it's getting a little ridiculous and clogging it up. They need a separate raffle forum at this point. And the prices are absolutely astronomical for many of them.

I believe muted are IP related, so any account logging in through that IP. This is to prevent mute evasion and spamming. Also, it's possible the censor is just setup for chat and not for team names, pokemon names, etc.

Breed all 6x0 male-only pokes. Breed a 6x0 shiny for the lulz. Give away money and vanities as prizes that people would screw others over to get.

I noticed it mainly seems to happen with the 99 stacks. On occasion I'll see it with maybe 27 of an item getting listed, but nowhere near as often as the full 99 stack disappearing instantly. And I say this as someone who has made 99.9% of their money off the GTL, and I'm very far from poor. The only reason I wouldn't support this idea, is if a Dev thinks it will make botting even easier and/or more prevalent. From a QoL standpoint, fantastic idea.

I will say, during some events I have seen stacks of items listed for $100 and be gone instantly. With THAT many people sniping during an event, I'd say being able to buy all of a 99 stack before anyone can snipe 1, isn't being done by a human. This happens mostly during events where the amount of snipers is up significantly, so to see multiple 99 stacks get insta-bought entirely is extremely questionable. I know someone who was tossing 99 stacks of quick powder and mail when this was happening, and they were gone instantly too. Leading me to fully believe there's some botting issues.

I'd honestly feel a bit bad for the people who converted their paychecks into RP and then into vanities. For about 2 seconds.

I've never changed my outfit off my original for more than 24 hours.
