  1. cofa beats conk any day of the week , as well as any set all this thanks to the ability mummy and for that cofa is not just a check but a full counter to conk and if you worry about a BU conk set cofa also learns haze , if its a flame orb 4 atks conk then again cofa can switch in and heal back witth pain split if need be not to mention hex that will deal a lot of dmg to any conk that has flame orb active on top of all this cofa also gets acces to t spikes and can be a great spin blocker weezing maybe the best check to conk out there after cofa if you don t or can t use cofa in your team , only set that weezing fears from conk is the sheer force life orb set that has eq besides that one very speccific set weezing can also check cofa quite well

I 100% agree we should get TC members for each tier that would fix a lot of issues and make discussion threads or any discussion a lot more smoother and faster , as it stands now having a small number of TC that have to deal with all the tiers at the same time does simply not work not one bit , we can see threads that reach 5+ pages of discussion when in reality 3 pages should get the point across and have a vote from TC already be in place however like i said all this can be done only when we get TC members for each tier and like i said before the ideal number would be 5 TC members per tier
  3. you can use both gliscore and chomp in the same team but in keep in mind that will make you very weak to opposing weavile and mamoswine the only successful team (atleast the i know of ) that uses both is this https://pokepast.es/42d1d2cdb6fa6605   not sure if those are right sets but those are the combo of 6 , if you were to use gliscore in the team i give you in my first post you could slap it over serp but again if you do that you will end up with something very wacky

Your team is very weak to weavile outside of scizor , also 2 stealth rockrs dosen t do anything for this team you would have to change a lot about this team to make it work and it comes down to what you want to build around https://pokepast.es/2ca4946e2bbed626 this is a team build around the scizor set you have , chomp and rotom form a deffensive core that that switch into fire types for scizor , chomp here is sp def and acts a soft check to zapdos and heatran those 2 can stop scizor in its track most of the time , takeing them out before seting up scizor is a must , getting toxic off on zapdos is also a must in order for scizor to succed Gengar could be made choice specs over balck sludge in order to have immediate damage rather then longevity , reagrdless of the item you run gengar is your best bet against stall teams since those also carry mons that stop scizor such as skarmory and weezing Scarf mien is the form of speed control and acts as an insurance policy against volcaronas that will try and set up in front of scizor , in a scenario volc sets up and kills something scarf mien can outspeed a +1 volc and kill it back with rock slide or force it out Serp is here to take care of the bulky waters that otherwise also wall sciz. Overall the team is forms an offensive volt turn core and has ways to win other then scizor Also i reccomend to check out and read this guide too

This happend to me a few times first thing i suggest to do is to check again the tip given and make sure the region is correct after that make sure it says indeed esterns and not western beyond that : there is a house in sunnyshore that needs rock climb hm to reach , did you search that? If not there is a house at the start of the swamp area before Pastoria try that too and if its not there try the manssion thats below Hearthome city
  8. There are like 1 or 2 npc that live in the middle of the ocean try those too , i got them a few times

On the map under the lake there is villa like resort that also has some trees in it , other then that there are 4 houses in between routes on the upper island , between figth and survival there is 1 , another 1 between figth and and resort area and there are 2 on r228/229* , with those 2 start from resort area and go up you can t miss them
  10. Did you search in Ruins of alph? there is a lab there that has a tree , before goldenrod there is the day care that also has one and there is one in national park too. On this note i want to add that in central hoenn one of the possible houses staryu or starmie can go is the house in r111 , that house dose not appear in the guide map but it can be there

When you say more diversity , i only hear 0 diversity if HDB where to be added to singels ou in this case since that is the tier you are talking about i can already tell you that this diversity will be called ''boots spam'' where you see all 6 or 5 atleast mons have boots as theyr items and this already is no sign of diveristy , stall , balance and offense will mostly spam the same cores with boots on them and again that shows 0 diversity not to mention a good number of team structures may give up on something as defog or rapid spin (unless knock off becomes popular in this theoretical meta of HDB , odds are it will become popular even with its lower bp but then that will just incentives even more the same cores being spamed so again 0 diversity ) We both know that the mons you mentioned will never see the ligth of day even with HDB , articuno , zard , aboma , atleast in ou since again that is the tier you are talking about , only exception would be moltres ofcourse however to say that moltres needs HDB to shine is not quite right either , i have used deffensive moltres myself in the gallade meta where it was quite a good check to the offenisve core of gallade + mamo + serp , yes rocks existed and i had to use another defoger besides moltres so that i can make the most out of it but at the end of the day it got the job done and hey you got to see a nu mon with a 4x weak to rocks shine in ou without the help of HDB , so a mon can be used in higer tiers (despite its main weakness being everywhere in the form of hazzards) , ofcourse with a bit of creativity and if the meta allows it and that is what everyone can call diveristy , boots spam is not diveristy Why are you looking only at rocks as the dumbest move ever ? You can argue all hazzards are the ''dumbest'' move(s) ever and what i want to focus on is this - ''so boots balance what has been too good to begin with.'' Wrong , wrong , wrong , before stealth rocks only other hazzard in the game was spikes introduced in gen 2 where you can only have 1 layer that does 12,5 % to all mons that are not flying type and in gen 3 you can now have 3 layers of spikes stacked upon eachother for a maximum of 25% , where i am geting at with this is the following there was nothing ''good to behin with '' in gen 3 you can see that spikes have wrapped the metagame around them ( ofc permanent sandstorm is also a contributor to that ) to the point where the same cores that do well against spikes ( and sand ) are being used , a team archetype called ''superman'' which means to stack 5 or 6 flying/levitateing mons together in order to ignore spikes as much as possible if not altogether has been a meta team preatty much since the dawn of gen 3 so again things where never ''good to begin with '' . If you want we can go back even further and look at gen 1 where no hazzards exist (also no held items) and where games will take a long time to be played because outside of some rng and/or some good prediction on your end there is no way to make efficent progress the additon of hazzards in pokemon is a good one and to say that we need boots to balance things is plain wrong Yes it does consume an item slot ... and? Being able to ignore hazzards completly is a lot more value then an item slot , for that item slot that is occupied by HDB you get to free 4,5 or 6 moveslots on your team as a whole in other words there way too much value to be gained in 1 item slot Yes knock off is indeed a thing , so far its used by some ferrothorn , some gliscores and from time to time you migth see serp , empo or some niche mamo sets use it the only mon that consistently uses knock off is mien so yeah knock off is not really that much of a thing rn , i don t doubt its not going to become one if HDB were to be added but then again all this goes to the main problem where there will be 0 diversity , everyone will now have boots spam and knock offrs to the point where you will stuff like gliscore , feerothorn and clef (?) spaming knock off and hazzards in preatty much every game because that will become the meta give or take some ho's that won t spam boots So as of now , looking at the current ou we have your suggestion and argguments for HDB to be allowed are simply not good and will not happen , merry christmas

Hi https://pokepast.es/866e4af684451ad1 this is a preatty basic team you can build and do well with , there is also a teambuilding guide here on the forums made by a great player Art use that as a reference as well : There are plenty of tips to give but most important one rigth now is for you to enter in this with a growth / improvement mentality and by that i mean don t expect to win every game if you do win a game ask yourself what you did well that allowed you to win , if you lose a game ask again , what i did that lead me to lose this game ? Best way to learn is to play so don t be hesitant to que up , don t focus on w/l ratio and focus just on immproveing yourself and of course have fun along the waay

Yes it will make the team more fragile in exchange for more offensive presure , your team was somewhat frail before , assault vest only allows the pokemon to use attack moves if you were to use it on skarm you can no longer use moves such as roost , rocks , spikes , whirlwind so no you can t use assault vest on skarm
  14. In that case swap ttar for a weavile with band and Chandelure for a galllade with scarf , skarm can be kept or you can swap it out for a scizor that can be any set from band to set up with swords dance or full impish with defog and roost
  15. Hi , your team can be much improved to better face the metagame, im not entirely sure what you mean by 1v1 but my suggestions will be for the ou tier since most of your team is ou. First Tyranitar can t run both vest and stealth rocks so swap that for crunch or pursuit , you don t need thunder punch on it either so with that you can run both crunch and pursuit or another coverage move like earthquake , superpower or even fire punch also your ev spread its very wierd i assume you intend to use it as a lead which i don t recomand. Garchomp is a very flexible mon so we can look at that later . A physical Dragonite like you have is dragon dance over roost and 3 attacks , rest of its moves are good but the problem is dragonite dosen t go well at all with ttar since sand stream will brake the multiscale and even though you have leftis the team lacks reliable hazzard removal , you do have a defog rotom however since its offensive defoging with it multiple if you need to will become very hard so either swap dragonite out or if you really want to keep it use a diffrent set such as mix life orb which dosen t care much about multiscale and can act as a lead or band with 4 attacks . Rotom wash usually is deffensive and acts as pivot for its team so its set is either bold 252 hp /252 def or calm 252hp /252 sp def , you can run 252 sp atk and 252 speed but in that case you want your nature to be either timid or modest and not calm , if you do go for offensive rotom then swap defog for trick and leftis for either choice specs or scarf both work Chandelure ev spread again very wierd if you want to go for a set up set then you go timid 252 sp atk and 252 speed with calm mind , sub , shadow ball and flamethrower , you don t need 2 fire moves unless you plan to go for a specs or scarf set and if you do then you swap out calm mind for hidden power ice and again 252 sp atk and 252 speed also this is another mon weak to entry hazzards and your team lacks a reliable hazzard removal Togekiss is a very bad mon to use in the current meta and your set is not very good , if you want to use a max speed togekiss then you go scarf or if you want to make it set up then bold 252hp/252 def with air slash ,roost , calm mind and heal bell . Overall your team has 3 pokemons that are weak stelth rocks and again no reliable hazzard removal with offensive rotom. Depending on what direction or style you want to take your team since more then half of it has very felxible mons you could go for something that looks like this https://pokepast.es/770d6b0bcedf4d59 This is an idea of a team you could go for while maintaining the original idea you had , sets and mons can be ofcourse changed , rotom could be bold or calm insteed of offensive timid , dragonite can be dragon dance but again i do not recomand to use dragonite along side ttar in general . Also for future reference we have a s sample sets thread made by our tier council i do recomand And again for future refrence a team building guide made by Art a great and knowledgeable player so do check it out

I do recommend to use the guide i linked since it will help you identify the style you like and from there building a more solid team Imo you should not aim for something half ok but for something great / solid , useing a good team from the start will make everything easyer in the future also i did give you a team of 6 in my post you could go for that too in case you miss it is serp , chandelure , reuniclues , chansey , gliscor , skarmory Mamo is not a check to zapdos since all of them have hurricane , it does force zapdos out but it dosen t switch into it , chansey however is a good check to zapdos Yes its very bad without it , depending on what you wanted zam to do there are plenty of options , if you want a special psychic type reuni is the perfect mon , if you want a fast psychic type starmie , while slower then zam still provides a lot more to a team then zam in its current state can , if you just want a fast mon that can hit hard you have weavile and crobat both faster then zam

Half of what vadim has said already, great bulk which makes it harder to revenge by faster mons combined with a large move pool having the options to both support its teammates or go on the offensive and to add on that my main concern with togekiss is its offensive movepool , i get that for now this dosen t seem too problematic since everyone seems to run the slow bulky set up build which makes it predictable and easy to answer in the team building stage atleast but once this set goes out of favor for the aforementioned reason and people will tap into togekiss full potential it will become a second lucario , no togekiss can t go either physical or special it will preatty much alwasys be special but that alone is enough , it will force you to play russian roulette in order to guess the set since togekiss has a move to beat all its would be checks such as flamethrower for bronzong , aura sphere for rhyp and ancient power for rotom heat , ancient power could be the most problematic takeing in consideration serene grace

  19. Alakazam dosen t have its hidden ability yet so there arent any reasons to use it in ou , you can however swap it for a reuniclues with calm mind which goes better with the rest of the team. The defensive coverage you have while does look good on paper you struggle a lot to switch into zapdos , zapdos of any kind for that matter , you have some tools to beat it such as stone edge chomp and on that note you should put stone edge on chomp over fire blast since you already have hp fire on serp and a fire type to deal with the steel types and overheat chandelure that will also leave a mark on zapdos but again you still don t switch into it well unless you were to use a sp def chomp over and hone claws or to use Rhyperior over chomp but that will also make you more weak to ground spam another possible choice is chansey since it does go well with skarm , if you are to go with chansey then you can swap empoleon out for a ground type so you don t lose the electric immunity . Leaving the zapdos match up aside your team while nice and versatile regarding the sets you can run on each mon, game play wise you lock yourself into one game plan that being slow fat hazzard stack not a bad archetype but current combo of 6 you have dosen t fully facilitate the hazzard stack aspect since such structures consist of mons that perfectly cover each other defensively while having 1 or 2 mons to clean up later . A hazzard stack team you could make without changing much would be serp , chandelure , reuniclues , chansey , gliscor , skarmory , with this 6 you would have a special offense that wants to stack hazzards while having a good defensive back bone to relay on The team you have now while is playable with some fine tuning i heavely recommand against it since it has a too many flaws to over come . Depending on what style you want to build there is a guide made by Art This will guide you and give you a clear outline on what to look after while building if however you paln to build around a specific core then that will take a diffrent approach so feel free to leave any questions

Well to answer you directly what your team needs to deal with walls and this can be applayed to any team you build in the future is simply a breaker , that pokemon can either be a wall braker such as mamo , gallade , breloom , conk , crawdunt and so on or a pokemon that has either choice band or choice specs like ttar , chomp , scizor , hydreygon ..ect. A wall braker or a braker are pokemons that don t need to set up in order to deal damage they requer little to no support from theyr teammates and theyr usefulness comes from being able to threaten the opposeing team as soon as they hit the field Looking at your team you could make either ttar , chomp , dragonite or scizor band or zapdos specs it comes down to you own preference so the team would look like this https://pokepast.es/8c3443ffd30e16d2
  21. heatran , celebi , creselia to name a few that will be beneficial both pvp and pve and very tamed at the same time , the idea of lati twins does sound appealing but they will prob get complex baned into oblivion

I love not only the idea but also the initiative from Diublej and Orange to want and make things better overall this sort of chnages where much needed for a long time and hopefully if done rigth imo they can and will fix most issues we currently have , this is how i vision things can go (this is just my idea not saying its the best or easy to implement ) Each tier needs to have a council of 5 members so that would be 5 for ou , 5 uu , 5 nu and 5 for dubs . With 5 members per tier all of them elitists in theyr field , individuals who can have an open mind approche and be biased to any subject that comes up in theyr specific tier , whenever a suspect thread gets opened i want them to be the first to comment with theyr opinion on the matter , something that till now is not done a lot . Regarding the usage movments , i have never been a fan of those i say its good to keep them around just for us to form a soft idea of whats going on but overall leave them behinde us. Instead and building this upon the idea of blocking movment , a pokemons movement to the tier above should have nothing to do with its overall usage in that tier insteed we look at the usage it has based on either higher ladder or its tournament usage however this time around the usage number will act as only a visual indicator that this movment needs to be discussed and regardless of how big that usage is the said pokemon will not move to the tier above based on usage alone , insteed a forum thread should be opened entitled ''X potential tier shift'' or something along those lines where the tc and community can discuss based on logic and arguments if said pokemon should rise to tier above or its too important to for the metagame to have it leave thus allowing the same pokemon to exist in 2 or more tiers at once , giveing bronzong as an example ( this will be a made up scenario to get the point across) : If bronz where to be the most used pokemon in uu but also have a 23% usage in ou that alone should not catapult bronz into ou but insteed have the tc of uu open a thread where they can interact and hear the community out whether or not bronz can leave or its too important for it to do so . This idea came to me a long time ago , back when ha's where still fresh and ha ditto was locked in the ou tier based on .......usage ..... I for one felt furios at such a bad decesion done only because we blindly fallow the usage as if it was some rule engraved in stone and send down from the sky for us to be able to ''properly'' put the said pokemon where it needs to be. Should be obvious that a pokemon such as ditto its only as good as the tier it is used in , the team it faces and by what the opponent will let ditto copy those factors all show that ditto and many other pokemons should not be locked in a specific tier beacuse usage says so . A fine exemple as to why i think movments should be done in forums based on actual logic and not because number big . Regarding how the future suspect tests could be done i was thinking that for each suspect test the devs could create a seprate in game ladder named ''Arceus suspect test for OU'' it will be ofcourse a temporary ou ladder for people to play and achive the min vote requirements , everyone who meets certain account criterias ( to avoid people from makeing multiple accounts and manipulate the votes ) can frelly partake in and have a chance to vote on the ongoing suspect this is a relatively easy way to duble check if ppl that vote actually exist , onnly porblem however its that this is susceptible to win tradeing . A way to avoide the win tradeing possibility is give the tc members the tools to create suspect test specific tournaments , same way staff are able to , expect the only reward for those will the the chance to vote on the suspect test , only giveing vote power to the first 3 placements this alongside the ability to automacly save the tournament replays i think will stop any atempt at win tradeing and thus vote manipulating these ladder/ tours can be run over the course of a whole week to give enough time to those that want to vote to achive voteing requirements. @Whated no gallade is not a huge issue not one bit( ive played plenty of times with both gallade and without gallade and i do not find it centralizing or troubelsome or anything like that) i just got tierd to say the same thing over and over again since it makes me sound like a broken record esspecely when there are so many deaf ears that only look at the surface lvl of the problem and don t bother to try and understand the real problems going on underneath , anyway i don t want to derail the topic but if you want to hear me why i think the way i do feel free to shot me a dm
