description in the tag if the item can return or not (only event, seasonal, particles)

These days I was doing some research on the forum and I came across the issue of the only event again, so what I already knew is that the only event may or may not return in a future event, in the post something was very undecided, something like they may or may not come back:

@DarkshadeOne thing that Akshit had warned on the forum that people were treating these items as if it were rare or known, nowadays I think that even with a "only event" tag, I think that many people still don't know the difference (people who don't search for things on the forum or who don't have a veteran friend to explain)

at that time the Ghost costume (only event 2015) was 8m, and Scyther (only event 2015/2016) and candy cane (only event 2015) were 4m in 2018 according to reports in the forum, nowadays these items in the GLT are over 40m and Ghost Costume is + 100m, taking a rare limited item from the jack-o-lantern season (limited 2015) is for 60m, with an item only event from the same season if you buy 2x limited which is jack-o-lanturn.

Do all people really know that they can come back? or are they believing that the event items will never come back? which is a high-risk investment to turn to is a 40m loss.

If the only event really is an item that may or may not return, I think it would be better to add next to the tag "Event only (may or may not return in a future event)", and in other categories such as seasonals and particles the same thing.

 

the event particles that have the tag "Exclusive to Halloween 2018" for example, are not really back in future events right? is that a certainty?

 

Another thing is that a category tag in the GLT you only see a "only event" tag if you keep the mouse over the icon, now if you click on the name it does not show a category tag

since it was not publicly released they could put the new tag on for people who have the old information now to know the new:

indeed would be nice to have an answer to that.Everyone who talks about it always says it may return in the future but there is never an example of it ever happening.

I saw scyther records coming in 2015 and 2016 I don't know if they are reliable

did not play in 2015.Hopefully some known veteran can share his experience of that kind of data.

As far I know the event only items are not intended to return again, and if someday any event only item returns, they will not give costly vanity again just to balance the economy, if they run out of ideas they might return cheaper event only(very low chances) coz if they return scythe in future then many players will lose their money which is not gonna be a good idea i guess.

that, as far as I know, they never confirmed that the items would not return or that they would, only if they are different from limited, there is no guarantee that they never returned. and just like people who would lose money today, people who in the past were based on that statement that they "may or may not return" ended up selling the items or people who had the chance to invest ended up not investing

I have a friend who bought a cane candy at 20m but sold it because of the risk and imagine the people who did the same with the ghost costume in 2018 they could be 100m today, but opted to sell based on the various arguments that "it can or not come back ". it is certain that the item could not come back, but based on what was said a long time ago I don’t think the price of the item should count, whether it was to come back or not it was something more random at least to be fair, because if not that have already warned you before if the item gets too expensive it will not come back.

this suggestion is exactly to clarify things and make them more transparent when buying the item

I also upvoted your suggestion, it would be good if you get a confirmation. I said the previous comment coz i asked staff if the event only items ever gonna return, they said it will not return.

most of the answers I see on the forum are like this, now I wonder if most people who do not access the forum or have any veteran friends know this

Fyi, tags did not exists for certain vanity when it was first released and only added after some period.

 

 

IMO, it suggests that tags can be altered, can come back no matter whatever tags it has/had.

 

My conclusion:

1-Don't invest unless u can take the risk

2-Just buy if u like it, dont bother about resale value

Items marked as Event Only will never be distributed again after the event. This is a confirmation, not speculation. Items marked as seasonal are the only time-based ones that ever return.

I honestly always believed and thought it was still "only event may or may not come back" I was really resigned to how people were paying their prices. I feel a little bad for my friend that I ended up sharing this information. I really always believed that and I had not come across anything on the forum informing me of this new information. sorry for the inconvenience.
