In general I wouldn't be happy to see a mon with such a bs ability to be anywhere near 10% usage. A pokemon gthat forces a metagame to adapt is not a bad thing at all. The bad thing would be if the adaptation itself forces the meta to become stagnant or exploitable by use of uncompetitive methods (aka Arena Trap). Maybe Doom has to run blackglasses with Sucker Punch now. Maybe Blaziken is almost forced to run Scarf. All in all it's probably too little time to tell if Dugtrio is really bad for NU, or if NU now just looks different.

Okay nobody cares about editing rule changes.
But why can players leave their team and join other teams just for TT?? Kinda baffling that this isn't the main concern of a supposed 'team' tournament. Players need to at least be 3 months in a team to play and IP check any alts. Easy no?

The other problem is that team members from big pvp teams can just join smaller teams that made it into sign ups. Effectively making that team an alt team, and alt teams are ruled to be in reserves. The alt team scores points for the small team, and maybe drops the game against their main team if that happens. It's a win-win for both teams and there is almost no reason not to do it.

Giving some teams priority based on a scoreboard that many teams can't even enter, because they literally can't enter the tournament, is an utter failure of a system. It doesn't make any sense and doesn't give any legitimacy to such a list. If you wanna take 6 months to figure something out, that's nice. I guess all these teams can just wait for 2022 then.
Yeah I know I'm being harsh. But this is literally the only the tournament that matters in this game, officially. And its managed so poorly that it's shocking. A lot of that is probably because all of the pressure is on Bear. So where are all the other staff members?

It's up to staff really. There is a clear divide between official and unofficial tournaments.

Why do you think there is a mod for encounter counting? There is no counter ingame that is visible to the player.

Let's build some hype here with predictions! I'm very interested in Quinn vs Stelian cause I think they both had one of the stronger draft and I can see both teams in the semis. That said I think Stelian has a few more ways to break through Quinn's team. Looking at the teams again I also think MendeeZ has a very solid looking stall roster and if you don't have the right mons you're not breaking through it lol.
On the doubles side, Zigh vs Julian is going to be very interesting I think. Two amazing drafts and pretty balanced overall.

Implementing Johto without any new endgame content would be a very big mistake. The only reason devs are even doing it is for completion sake. But it would be an extremely boring and meaningless edition overall because we can already catch everything. So people are going to be finished in 10 or less hours with the region and guess what they are going to do? Go on forums and complain about the lack of content.
No I think Johto is very low priority and if it gets implemented it has to be with or after a big endgame content update.

I believe the changes will come. They just take time. The developers have actually become decent in what they do, but the changes and content that this game needs right now will take a long time. So you just have to be patient, join a fun team. Do showdown events, catching events. That's strength of this game is that it brings people that love Pokemon together, not really much of anything else right now.
