  1. What is your concern, that the top players (or those with most games played) have too much influence or too little influence on stats?
  2. Changing the cut-offs in an arbitrary manner doesn't seem like the best path forward tbh.
  3. There are things that this community is asking for, and to accommodate that, we need to wait. Here are the requests: 1. Prevent yo-yo'ing every month or three months 2. Optimize usage statistics It's not as simple as saying "ok great, I'm going to magically wave my finger in the air and change our cut-offs and how we obtain usage."
  4. Gosh, your analogy game is just the worst. You know better than most there aren't any quick fixes when it comes to this game. We're looking at system level changes. So sit back, play the game (or not) and be patient.
  5. N(X)atu is more than just an annoying bird. It's a majestic beast!
  6. I understand you're frustrated, that's reasonable. When we have a problem that is five years in the making, it often takes that much time or even longer to sort it out. We'll get through this together. I ask for your patience, just as I will work to have patience with you.
  7. Worst analogy ever. Cutting off the foot is the equivalent of stopping tiering altogether and just having ubers. Freezing tiering is more along the lines of this: "Wow, you have serious pain and I see it's really bothering you. I don't have answer right now but let me schedule you a follow up visit as I review your chart, understand your problem more deeply, and think about a plan that works for both of us." Was your pain addressed? No. Will it be? Yes. #fakedoctorseverywhere#gbpbc
  8. "There's too much yo-yo'ing! The tiers aren't stable!" TC freezes movements to find a solution and optimize the system... "This is bullshit and stupid! You need to do something! Bring back the old cutoffs!" =/
  9. Cool, consider them added. Edit: This is not real, this is just a forum post from the forum PTS.
  10. Gonna lol when Gallade isn't banned. (Don't hurt me, pls)
  11. There really wasn't anything broken about Regen with Amoongus and Mienshao. They were just used a lot and couldn't counter eachother, and thus slowed the game down. Gliscor was the best answer for both, but that meant another stall heavy mon added in.
  12. That takes away from the effectiveness of Gallade's other abilities unnecessarily. The problem is Sharpness and reducing its boost gives the same effect. Don't be dumb chao.
  13. The most logical changes that don't affect other pokemon or negatively take away from player investment are the following: Remove Sacred Sword from Gallade's movepool (RIP PP Max?) Reduce the Sharpness boost Removing Sacred Sword will force Gallade to run Close Combat which is great. It's not as powerful and it results in a devastating def/spdef drop that results in a significant weakness to exploit. I've ran calcs and to be effective a Sharpness nerf will need to result in a 20% (or less) boost for cutting attacks. Anything more than that and Gallade still meets easy 2hko's with life orb and hazards.
  14. More money no problem Caiox. If it's China vs China every round, then that's just how it is. I blame Gb.
  15. Thoughts on adding back Draco Meteor Hydreigon? Assault Gear + Regen + more offensive HA's might be enough to reconsider this ban. Swords Dance Garchomp not so much though (Slowbro and Tangrowth Regen where art thou?!)
  16. This thread has been open for over a month now and Gallade has had access to Sharpness + Sacred Sword since April 27th. Since then, the TC automatically moved Gallade to OU where its usage has risen (~20%). Initially, Gallade had a remarkable win percentage (cannot recall, but believe 56-57%), but now it seems to be settling at ~52% as players learn to adapt and check this behemoth through resistances, immunity, and skillful play (items, prediction, etc). It's rare that we have an offensive threat with zero hard counters, and our community has truly struggled with it. There have been calls for a ban throughout this discussion with those calls leaning on its lack of counters, its overpowered attacks, high special def (boosted with Assault Gear), and/or outstanding speed as a wallbreaker. Counter arguments have looked at its poor sweeping speed and weak physical defense. In my practice and observation, Gallade also proves to be easily predicted and its reliance on Fighting and Psychic-STABs are easily resisted (or immune), which means one mistake and its in jeopardy for the rest of the game. On the other hand, one mistake by your opponent means Gallade has done its job, which is not to sweep, but to "break" a team. So, is Gallade too good at its job as a wallbreaker? My answer is yes. While it has its flaws, it creates an environment where true "wall-and-stall" playstyles are obsolete. Is this the natural progression of PokeMMO as we introduce more offensive threats in new abilities and legendary pokemon? Should we try to save "wall-and-stall" strategies? Who knows. But right now, Gallade is just too good not to use and is overly centralizing. While it's not an offensive uber (doesn't meet the definition fully), it is banworthy from my perspective.
  17. I would say Shaymin is uniquely suited to really pressure Underused right now. It's Legendary stats (Total Base Stat 600) makes it bulky, fast, and a relatively hard hitter. It's also got one of the best STAB moves in the game in Seed Flare which nearly half the time results in a -2 SpDef drop, on top of near perfect coverage across the board with any combination of Air Slash, Psychic, Earth Power, or HP Ice. It really can come and go as it pleases too, knowing that there are very few Pokemon with moves that can OHKO it on the switch. Additionally, Pursuit trapping does very little to chip away at this behemoth and Natural Cure limits any ongoing status damage, just to add to its durability. Looking at the tier itself, you are starting to see the centralization it creates. Seed Flare resists are rising higher and higher in usage, and some players are even running opposing Shaymin as a check. Fortunately, Seed Flare, which I believe is the biggest concern in our tier currently, is severely limited by its mere 8 PP. This means Pressure users like Spiritomb and Dusclops get to see some shine and make this hedgehog's life hell. Shaymin is also pretty easily predicted, praying for a SpDef drop to really make an impact. It's speed while great, isn't the best in the tier, and it's readily bested by Scarf users looking to take advantage. Overall, I think Shaymin is the best of the best in UU right now and certainly on the edge of being broken. Currently, I'm personally in favor of keeping it around, especially as we continue to see the tiers evolve with new drops on the horizon (Johto when?!). tl;dr Shaymin #1
  18. In other words, Psycho Cut is superior to Aerial Ace and only does a small margin less damage (EDIT: in certain situations). Often, Life Orb +/- Stealth Rocks is enough for Psycho Cut to kill all of the 'mons you mentioned.
