  1. I like UT, it could be a good addition imo. Hopefully, UT gains more popularity during the year so that next PSL the player base is large enough to compete.
  2. I have a very cringy proposal. For every PSL going forward, we have the exact same team names. The mascot of each team is linked to the least valuable shinies in game: Raticate, Tentacruel, Rapidash, Golem, Pidgeot, etc. At the end of the season, all members of the team that won PSL receive an untradable dev ot shiny of their team mascot. The IVs of the generated shiny are based on the number of wins the PSL team got. Assuming 8 tiers per week for 10 weeks, that's a total of 80 duels; so let's say for each win, the ivs of the shiny can be increased by 2. Obviously, we give the devs a large amount of prismatic pearls (60 maybe?) as a money sink for the roughly 10-12 shinies that would get generated. It's nothing crazy, but it would give psl winners an actual trophy for their win. Some players might also try to collect as many trophies as possible over the years. Winners could also compare their performance to other winners based on the total ivs of their shitty Tentacruel. I could also see some players get mad if they end up for the 3rd time on the Rats team. Anyhow, if people are interested we could approach the dev team to figure out if that's something to consider and what we need to give up as a money sink to make it possible.
  3. I'm not a big fan of the player sign up template that was used: Imo, Time Zone, Discord and Donation are not really useful. I would go for something like this instead:
  4. UU: PoseidonWrath vs Umbralol 100k on Umbramol
  5. What bothers me the most is when a team has no shot of going to playoffs, but still has to play 1, 2 or 3 weeks left. That's fundamentally fucked imo. No one wants to play when they are already out. Eliminated managers usually bench their best players to give a chance to their noobs to make a name for themselves. I don't blame them, but it's unfair to all the previous opponents that had to fight try hard players that are afterwards replaced with meh players. We had different systems to make sure this does not happen: 6 out of 8 teams going to playoffs All teams make playoffs (advantages/disadvantages based of regular season standings) etc. This year Doc decided to have only 4 teams going to playoffs, but created the underdog fund as an incentive for eliminated teams to keep trying. It's not a bad idea, we'll see how it goes. Anyhow, it's important for the host to choose a format that makes it unlikely for a team to be eliminated prior to the end of the regular season.
  6. I'm pretty sure all 3 of them were in the tier when Shaymin was getting tested. The main change would be Ninetales and Entei imo. Edit: Shaymin was banned in July 2023. Mandibuzz was UU until January 2024. Bronzong was UU until October 2023. Salamence was UU until July 2023.
  7. I'll get back to you shortly. Thanks for your application.
  8. Like I said on discord, Quinn can be unbanned from Discord. People just need to block him when he abuses Match Ping and not go in my DM to cry about it.
  9. In what universe is Shell Turban (Slowking) not S tier??!?
  10. As spammable as Scared Fire might be, there are still too many Fire Resistant mons available in UU for Entei to be able to lock itself into Sacred Fire freely. There is a decent degree of prediction necessary when playing CB Entei. Locked mons become broken when they do not need to predict like we saw with Choice Spec Hydreigon Draco Meteor in OU that was able to break through steel types despite locking itself into Draco Meteor. Entei doesn't break through most water types with Sacred Fire alone. @Azphiel Entei is so pathetic that it can't even break through Corsola.
  11. Since I don't see it mentionned in the thread, I'm adding it here to make sure the potential managers know.
  12. So what? Milotic was OU, one year ago. Should we go out of our way to make it viable again? No. It doesn't matter if Excadrill Sand Rush was relevant now, 1 year ago, 10 years ago. Who cares? You are forced to run things, you would normally play anyways. I'm sorry that doesn't sound like unhealthy. There are plenty of arguments as to why Dugtrio should be banned. The argument that it makes stuff unhealthy like Volcarona and Togekiss (in the past) has never been weaker. If you want to argue that Dugtrio is unhealthy, you need to argue that there are numerous mons that would be very healthy for OU but are unviable to a significant degree because of Dugtrio. Tyranitar has not been shown to be healthy for OU or unviable in OU because of Dugtrio, so that would be an awful example. Excadrill Sand Rush is a good start. However, why is that mon healthy for OU exactly? Dugtrio might be one of the reasons why Excadrill Sand Rush is not viable, but Excadrill has way bigger problems than Dugtrio in the OU meta (Gliscor / Rotom-W). You would imo make a stronger case as to why Dugtrio is unhealthy by looking at mons like Tentacruel, Toxicroak, Empoleon, Ninetales, Nidoking, Nidoqueen or Raikou by explaining why such mons would be healthy for our meta, but can't be played for the most part because of Dugtrio. For instance, you could say: ''Amoongus is cancer, Rain teams are a plague, Volcarona is problematic, Tentacruel would help vs all these archetypes, but unfortunetly Tentacruel is meh in OU mainly because of Dugtrio. Tentacruel is also punished by mons like Ferrothorn, but since Tentacruel can be naturally paired with Magnezone, those weaknesses can be dealt with during teambuilding. However, since Magnezone is also weak to Dugtrio, there is simply no viable way to play Tentacruel competitively right now.'' This is just an example. I don't believe half of what I just said (Magnezone is not particularly healthy imo, I don't think Volcarona or Rain teams are problematic), but that's how you could show Dugtrio as unhealthy in PokeMMO by doing that with multiple mons relevant to multiple playstyles. No one cares what Smogon did. Their decisions (good or bad) mean nothing in PokeMMOs metas and certainly do not set any precedent we need to follow or recognize.
  13. You present these statements as facts when they are clearly not. Ttar remains very viable over 800s and in tournaments. Ttar is also played outside of stall teams, actually stall is most likely the playstyle that uses TTar the least. It's not because Dugtrio can ruin Magcargo that Magcargo is not played more in OU. There are many many reasons why Magcargo is not played more in OU and the same goes with Excadrill Sand Rush. As for this, Volcarona + Dugtrio is not unhealthy. There are plenty of answers to Volcarona in OU that do not fear Dugtrio: Dugtrio itself Defensive or Offensive Dragonite Multiscale (still works vs hp ice) Chansey / Blissey Gyarados Rain Teams (Pelipper + w.e) Garchomp Scarf AV Gallade Conkeldurr Chandelure Mienshao Scarf or AV Mandibuzz You can also play plenty of lower tier mons that will also deal with Volcarona, I was just listing the ones in OU not weak to Dugtrio.

  16. Who the fuck cares? Even if someone bothers to show you thousand of calcs where Sharpness 1.5 gets KOs that 1.4 doesn't get, it would still not matter. If tomorrow Seismic Toss goes from 50 dmg to 100 dmg, it would still not KO anything, but everyone would complain that the move is broken.
  17. For what's it's worth, Rock Tomb can also do that.
  18. Minors should not be allowed to play Dugtrio.
  19. @Toxicz Please clear up the following allegation.
