  1. Event season is the most amusing time to be on the forums just for these reasons alone.
  2. Imperial

    CLOSED

Good luck getting anyone to trust you XD
  3. @Munya Can there be an early decision on what happens with Medicham?
  4. I'd be very surprised if Medicham doesn't get quick banned, even if Sableye drops down...
  5. Team Name: Undecided XD Team Captain: Incognition Players: Sargeste, evxsion, Onraider, DRIDRIGOFK, Incognition
  6. It can be difficult to theory at this stage, but even though I agree that Hippowdon is limited to around 4 moves (with the exception of sacrificing toxic to use Stone Edge/Ice Fang which may tickle the levitate/flying mons currently in the tier) making it easier to bypass, can't we use the same argument that people used about Ambipom restricting hyper offense in NU that Hippowdon can highly restrict offense in UU? Just a random calc I produced (guts heracross as this thing hits extremely hard), but if needed I'll produce more calcs as I may be entirely wrong: 252 Atk Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Hippowdon: 96-114 (44.6 - 53%) -- 23.4% chance to 2HKO 252 Atk Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Hippowdon: 96-114 (44.6 - 53%) -- 83.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock (rocks need to be set up)
  7. Assuming it runs the set U-Turn, Fake Out, Quick Attack, Return/Double Edge pretty much what you mentioned: Steelix, Rotom, Froslass, Escavalier, Magneton (niche), Bronzor, Golem, Golurk Quagsire should be able to handle the standard set: 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 70-84 (34.6 - 41.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock (can toxic/recover or scald/earthquake if healthy enough) Piloswine can also check Ambipom to an extent, if you want to be extra cautious you can add more bulk: 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Piloswine: 70-84 (33.8 - 40.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock (can chip it down with Earthquake/Icicle Spear and also potentially revenge kill with Ice Shard if chipped enough and Ambipom has no priority) Seismitoad: 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Seismitoad: 76-90 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock (can chip it down with Earthquake/Scald etc depending on the nature and set) Hitmontop: -1 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Hitmontop: 43-52 (27.3 - 33.1%) -- 14.3% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock (the -1 is due to the intimidate activation - can use Close Combat) Alomomola: 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Alomomola: 73-87 (26.8 - 31.9%) -- 55.4% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock (can stall out with toxic + wish/protect) Qwilfish: -1 252 Atk Silk Scarf Ambipom Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Qwilfish: 48-57 (27.9 - 33.1%) -- 85.6% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock (the -1 is due to the intimidate activation) Some also run Bullet Seed or Beat Up to deal with Quagsire/ghost types, but then you either lose U-Turn or Quick Attack, two moves it should really have.
  8. Yes this would be perfect for a competition where players are supposed to prepare and counter-team particular opponents (sarcasm).
  9. With some insane RNG, Incognition wins the last Metronome for 2022! Bracket - https://challonge.com/2p3mvunb
  10. Great service - completed all of my orders within the same day.
  11. 252+ Atk Choice Band Dugtrio Reversal (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 162-192 (84.3 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO Prove them wrong Caiox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Myself and a few others ran Modest with fully invested special attack back when it was in UU, because with Eviolite it was still bulky enough to take some hits from a lot of the offensive threats at the time. I agree with your examples except for Crawdaunt and potentially Salamence (assuming p2 runs ice beam) Porygon2 - Modest, 252 special attack, Discharge and Tri Attack Crawdaunt 252+ SpA Porygon2 Discharge vs. 6 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 138-164 (99.2 - 117.9%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO 252+ SpA Porygon2 Tri Attack vs. 6 HP / 0 SpD Crawdaunt: 103-123 (74.1 - 88.4%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock Salamence (unlikely it runs ice beam and discharge, but just in case) 252+ SpA Porygon2 Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 248-292 (122.7 - 144.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO 252+ SpA Porygon2 Tri Attack vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 78-93 (38.6 - 46%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock Of course, the majority will likely run a more defensive set so these calcs are unlikely to be used often. Personally, as much as I loved using this thing I'm mixed as to whether this thing should be reintroduced as it can still cause pressure to offensive teams alongside being fantastic defensively. I would rather wait until a decision on Salamence, Staraptor and Crawdaunt have been made first before making a decision on Porygon2 and other future mons - the tier is already as unstable as it is.
  13. When is the tiering usually locked? There's been some slight changes since the announcement -
  14. I didn't realise - congratulations to BSDO for their achievement!
  15. On a more serious note, Happy 10th Anniversary Aw! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary earlier this month and it's a huge achievement, great to see you guys going strong and thank you for this great event.
  16. Congratulations to everyone in [OpTc] Optic for winning our first Team Tournament An amazing family and community ❤️
  17. The main drawback to Salamence is its lack of speed (if it runs full bulk) making it harder to stop certain set up mons.
  18. What about Salamence? I'm against instant banning immediately, but I would be strongly for a suspect test. My justification is alongside possibly replacing Crobat as an excellent support mon with a great ability, unlike bat it has a better offensive pressure with either DD or specs/mixed set (not saying these are going to be threatening in the tier, hence the suspect test).
  19. Waiting for that guy who continuously complains about Blaziken to post in 3, 2, 1...
  20. Would Staraptor be UUBL if it drops down next month? Also I feel it's manageable, but I'm wondering whether we suspect test Salamence rather than outright drop it (assuming it's still below the cut off point).

  22. All I will say is good luck getting the hype going when PSL is coming round the corner.
  23. Crawdaunt can also be a potential option for rain - I haven't tried it so I don't know how much better it is than Kabutops (obvious down side is lacking swift swim)
