  1. @Munya Going forwards please can we have more transparency regarding when the usage movement is locked? Sometimes it's on the day and sometimes it happens 1-2 days before the end of the month. Since the date this thread opened, there have already been some notable changes: Scrafty - Would remain in UU Ninjask - Would rise to UU Nidoqueen - Would drop down to NU (surely this is too strong for the tier so deserves a BL?) Also at long last Jolteon would drop from OU to UU... Another issue which would be good to address is whether 4.36% is enough for UU and NU, as the ladder is hardly active compared to previous seasons (which was addressed before) that it's so easy to manipulate so many Pokemon - look at the amount of changes which have happened over the weekend for example. I would propose rising it to between 4.75-5%, depending on new HAs added etc. I know other people have proposed factoring in tournament usage which is also a great idea especially for the lower tiers.

  3. If Quagsire has to be spammed in the tier then in my opinion it's no different than everyone having to spam Poliwrath/Toxicroak to keep Crawdaunt in check in UU, plus I believe Slowbro overshines Quagsire and may be used more in the meta. Agreed - everyone knew that Staraptor was broken but a suspect test took place to confirm everybody's view as you can't always theorymon, the suspect test only lasted a few days which tells you everything about this mon. My point is suspect test all of the Pokemon I mentioned. If a Pokemon is deemed too strong, quickban it after a few days, if it needs more time, extend the duration or remove the test completely if there were no issues. By not suspect testing in the first place, it means the Pokemon is completely okay and then a new thread has to be opened, etc when it turns out that there are actually problems.
  4. I appreciate your input and I'm looking forward to hearing more views from TC. Scrafty - I completely agree and I overlooked some of its checks in my previous post. However, I don't think Bold Mantine will be used very often if at all when you have Golbat and Slowbro to reliably check physical Blazikens and Azumarill which opens up for Scrafty (Golbat checks Scrafty pretty well at +1 but it depends on how much it's been chipped beforehand especially with its rocks weakness). +1 252 Atk Scrafty Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Golbat: 66-78 (36.2 - 42.8%) -- 83.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock Bear in mind that several Scrafty's will be running coba berry and if it kills Scrafty then it opens itself up to being revenge killed by something else, especially if it can't safely switch back in with rocks on the field. Quagsire will be used a lot, of course, but I think the most common core will be Piloswine/Steelix, Slowbro, Golbat. Sharpedo - This was in the tier before and it's very fragile but it's very threatening as a late sweeper, especially against offense-based teams which is what I'm most concerned about as it potentially restricts a playstyle. If the opposing team's mons are chipped enough, this thing can pretty much clean the game, with only Ninjask outspeeding it. Yes it relies on wasting a move to set up against scarfers/faster mons (unless the opponent switches out) and more defensive teams can handle this, but it should definitely be suspect tested at the minimum. If I need to provide relevant calcs for this I'll look into it when I have more time. I expect to see AV Hitmonchans being used a lot more if Sharpedo is reintroduced in the tier. Shaymin - I saw people discussing this and I haven't tried it yet to have a personal view, but from what I've seen its movepool coverage is insane alongside it having pretty good bulk. With how UU currently is, I can see it being fine, but against more offensive teams this could be an issue, but not enough for a quickban. It may be safe to suspect test this and see what happens? Venusaur - Agreed, as mentioned in my previous post it doesn't require someone to braindead switch in Torkoal to set up sun but this can still pose offensive pressure in teams. The main checks I can think of are Snorlax, Gigalith (although it gets hit quite hard by giga drain) and potentially Umbreon/Empoleon. I'm mixed on this one as well, last time we had Torkoal and UU was basically a weather war between sand and sun.
  5. It depends which ones TC were thinking of bringing back. I believe that only P2 and PZ should be the main ones looked at. Staraptor/Haxorus/Lucario are likely to still be too strong for the tier despite the new changes so I would keep these banned and Dugtrio as others have commented, is just uncompetitive. Lucario was tested before the HAs came out but from the top of my head not much has changed since then except AV Spiritombs being used more which can't really touch Lucario and Staraptor was recently tested. If we were to only reintroduce P2 and P2, bringing both at once seems reasonable IMO. You are thinking about Magnezone, which evolves from Magneton: The left one is rising to UU, the right one is and has always been in OU.
  6. Please request TC to have a vote or open a discussion on Shaymin, Venusaur, Sharpedo and Scrafty - it would be good to know how many of them find each of the mons threatening/banworthy for their respective tiers. My biggest concerns as expressed earlier are Sharpedo and Scrafty, I'd rather both were suspect tested if anything.
  7. Apologies if I misunderstood but Staraptor is way too strong to be unbanned.
  8. I didn't realise it was already three months until the next usage movements but I suppose I'll post my initial thoughts: To UU from OU: Venusaur Despite Torkoal not being in UU I'm skeptical about this mon coming back since it proved very threatening in the tier before especially with growth and you can use Whimsicott/Sableye prankster to set up sun and then Memento to gather momentum (e.g. Whimsicott). You could argue that setting up prankster may be difficult when you have Krookodile and Xatu(?) but once set up could be nasty - again this is difficult to confirm without testing. We do have some tools to deal with this (e.g. Empoleon dropping now) but curious whether TC would like to suspect test during the first month? Empoleon People were initially concerned about this being defensive uber when it had access to roost but I think the PP recovery nerf may have taken a hit on this mon but still a very solid mon in the tier, I think this should be fine. Shaymin No issues here, this will likely be a good Roserade replacement to deal with Crawdaunt/Toxicroaks being spammed in the tier because of Crawdaunt and we have Crobat, Rotom-H and several steel types which in theory should be able to handle this okay. To UU from NU: Magneton No issues here. Druddigon No issues here. To NU from UU: Scrafty What are TC's views on this Pokemon? We have Golbat meaning Scrafty will likely need to set up twice to successfully threaten this mon after rocks (will need to provide relevant calcs) but I can't think of many Pokemon which would be able to handle this mon (e.g. immune to prankster). The typical moveset would be - Crunch, Zen Headbutt, Drain Punch which is amazing coverage for the tier. The main way I can think of around this is we have quite a few priority mons (e.g. Gurdurr, Azumarill, Hitmonchan, Blaziken) alongside Ninjask which already has a x4 weakness to rocks. Despite potential answers, is this too strong for the tier when we have banned Pokemon like Venomoth? This is probably my biggest concern and I would personally like this to be discussed the most. Golbat No issues here, was a solid mon in the tier and will be a core part of many teambuilds again (e.g. Piloswine/Steelix, Slowbro, Golbat) Sharpedo Very similar concerns to Scrafty, but with access to a special and mixed set. Curious as to whether TC thinks this should be quick banned or suspect tested? Slowbro No issues here. I feel out of all the tiers, UU will be the one most affected and screwed again. NU could also face some issues, depending on what TC decides about Sharpedo and Scrafty.
  9. @Toxicz has paid his bet to @DrakeHope - thank you for paying. Although he has paid what he owed, and I appreciate he's been really busy in real, I will still be keeping him on the blacklist as it took almost four weeks to pay only 150k. I will make a note to say that he paid back though.

  13. People have been whispering me in game, I thought I should confirm: - Shaymin is obtainable and a permanent Pokemon - you have to collect all of the tablets in every region (Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova). People are calling out the locations during the day in Global chat - Shaymin is tradable - Shaymin is not able to be bred, but it comes with plantable Gracidea which increase or decrease an IV by 1, and sometimes also gives you nature herbs too, so it can be viable in competitive This is also the only mythical/legendary Pokemon due to release in this event.

  15. The match between Beedrilled and Kangaskhan's Golden Horde ended in a tie, so the bet was void @Azphiel and @drewq have both been sent their money back - thank you for choosing me as the middleman.
