NaitDawg
Plain and simple. Gravatar is annoying as hell. Integrate avatars with the forum like anyone else would do. To change your forum avatar, now, you have to create an account on wordpress, and account on gravatar, and go through the ridiculousness that is gravatar. It baffles me. Please get rid of this nonsense. MinyBoy5, Lios, iSmashbro and 11 others 14 Link to comment
purplegreenred
+1 I found it quite odd that I had to make an account on some random site I've never even heard of just to upload a forum avatar. Link to comment

Tarkin
Also, give us the option to directly upload pics from our PC like iSmash said. It's annoying to upload to imgur and get the URL and paste the URL here blah blah when we can just upload it directly.. Oh yeah, +1 to OP Link to comment
Fishfist
I'm not using Magikarp because it's awesome. (Seriously folks, it's not!) Support! +1 Link to comment
Kyu
Kyu the Dream Crusher™ here laying down some truthiness. We don't allow users to upload anything to the forums due to security. We have purposefully offloaded everything possible to external sites to avoid security implications. While I know that it would be easier for you to upload your own avatars, we don't feel it is worth the risk. To give you an idea, check http://community.invisionpower.com/forum/1-news-and-information/ and look for "Critical Security Update" topics. Those indicate remote code execution is possible and is usually a flaw with how IPB has set up its PHP interaction. Most of these issues were known months beforehand and could've caused security problems on our website, but were irrelevant since we do not allow users to upload files.
