Locked Shiny?

Thanks for the info. Would 5 badges be enough progression to avoid something like this as I'm not hunting in early areas? You mention it's likely to happen if spending a lot of time in early areas, and that beating the region will prevent any possible lock. I'm in between there with my badge count and been hunting for a bit. Not sure if it's still possible to trigger a lock.

Let me get this straight, this means that if I don't progress in the game I will be blocked from finding a shiny, but if I progress enough or even complete the region or the entire game this block will be removed?

I was dry for over 300k aswell. Just quit the game bro. Or do something else, there is no bigger waste of your life time than shiny hunting.

tenho uma duvida relacionada a isso, eu ja zerei Kanto porem nao zerei Johto, então se eu fizer um shiny hunt em kanto eu acho, porem em johto eu nao sou capaz de achar???

 

I have a question related to this, I've already beaten Kanto but I haven't beaten Johto, so if I do a shiny hunt in Kanto I can find it, but in Johto I'm not able to find it???
