After finally picking up Showdown again after not playing the whole of summer. My elo decayed to the 1500's. Finally back to the top 500 =)

My goal is to get into the top 20 again. Let the climb begin!

Made a few key misplays in this match (mostly being team building related - no excuse for my DD gyara getting outsped by a scarf ttar, but wanted to try a bulkier set)

 

However, one of those misplays actually won me the match later on. It involves my flygon, see if you can spot it

Kingdra's speed evs needs to be fixed cuz you shouldn't get outpaced by Scarf Flygon.

Speaking of mistakes, it's like, i didn't realize I was not on an alt, so I just went ahead and did a match with a completely gimmick 5 minute team I made while at work.

Damn so many misplays, ttar the saviour

 

E: Pretty sure earth power instead of greedy and going for seed flare would have won him the game anyway

Yeah nik the kingdra speed was the other teambuilding misplay. As for the misplay that won me the game, I should have stayed in for a 2nd tpunch on starmie, as he clearly wasn't going to stay in and risk the scarf set. I would have tpunched scizor, who would have gotten roasted by fire blast the next turn (revealing my lack of a scarf). Instead, the threat of scarf remained and led to his ridiculous misplay on my flygon at the end

it's possible he just thought I was trying to catch him on the double switch, since a scarfed flygon locked into tpunch is an easy switch in for his own flygon (not sure why he didn't go there tbh). I was using expert belt

But lels and keks aside, even if you did Ice Beam, it was a poor choice from the opponent to switch into magneton anyway. 

 

He probably didn't have an answer for swampert in the first place.

 

The reason why i'm saying it is because, HP grass magneton doesn't oneshot swampert in the first place (if the magneton was even running hp grass) and swampert earthquake does, so at best he can a double switch from his aside predicting EQ, so he'd switch in Salamence again?

 

But then you're back to square one where you threaten oneshot anyway with ice beam....

 

 

 

inb4 12 switches until -6 atk swampert so it doesn't kill magneton with EQ anymore, top kek.

 

 

Orrrr... you know he's just bad because low elo ADV OU is brainless play
