[Denied]Weather effects not affecting wild battles

Recommended Posts

So, as we all know (except if you're living under a rock), we have weather effects implemented, like fog in caves, and random raining in areas (but mainly it's rain). However, there are a few cons :

  • Whenever it rains, it interrupts any wild battle in that area due to the message 'Rain continutes to fall..' followed by a raining animation, and it happens EVERY turn, till it stops raining overworld.
  • Not only it causes a waste of time due to the extra line and animation popping up every turn, but also unnecessary lags and freezes.

So how about make the overworld rain not affect battles, but remain just as a nice addition to the game, like fog in caves.

Another alternative would be to be able to disable the weather effects for speedy NPC runs and wild encounters.

Pros :

  • Save time.
  • Less lag.
  • Faster runs and grinds?

Cons :

  • Faster runs and grinds = more money?
  • idk what else?

Better not remove the effect but just hide the animation. An icon should be add anyway that shows the effect of the weather. A similar indicator the status effects have.

That's incredibly lame and would look very lazy.

The rain affects aren't going to be removed from wild battles.
Some of the wilds use weather affects as part of their gimmick.

The problem with weather is that people tire from it quickly as it takes effect across an entire region rather than per route.

This is something I would personally like to see changed but it's far easier said than done.
