  1. This is a bug. In the future, if you think something may not be working correctly, please post in the Bug Reports section instead.
  2. The chance of encountering a shiny is unknown but based on a few variables. If you're looking for a shiny, all you have to do is keep on trying and you'll eventually bump into one~
  3. You started the game with the national dex, so don't need to talk to him. You can go straight to One Island to help Celio now - after that, you'll have access to the other islands.

    Battle Style...

As Kurodashi has stated, the "set" battle style increases the difficulty of the game, or rather, the "switch" battle style makes it too easy. The ability to switch before your opponent sends out a Pokemon is pretty much cheating from the perspective of the AI and completely undermines it.
  5. The listing becomes inactive and you can claim the Pokemon/item back from the GTL. No mailing is involved.
  6. At the point that you're having other people watering your plants you might as well just be buying berries from them instead. It's pretty much the same thing, and would also more than likely cause complications if the other player has their own plants in the same place. I can safely say that this won't be happening.

    So I'm just wondering

Players aren't expected/supposed to be completely self-sufficient. The people who don't have the time or patience to grow berries can simply purchase them from the ones that do, and those farmers can use their berries as their primary source of income if they choose by supplying players who don't participate in the activity. Current prices are not at all representative of what the standard price will become as the system is still new and first berry crops still growing.
  8. Before: After: It's nice to have so much choice now, I'm still finding more that I enjoy using instead of being limited to the very few items that looked somewhat decent. I'm extremely fond of the new colour palette too.
  9. This is why we have fancy hats and other accessories. They don't look completely out of place and they set players apart from NPCs.
  10. When designing the visual aspects of a game, all parts of it should look like a single product - a living, breathing world. The previous black didn't look like a part of the same world as the environment and NPCs. The very definition of NPC (non-player character) means that their look shouldn't be disregarded. They're as much a part of the game's visual design as each player character and vise versa. In terms of colour palette, they should be quite similar. The awful black that looked like nothing existing in the game world and that stripped the items of all of their detail is not coming back.
  11. If you compare the available black to black on the NPCs, you'll find that the colour is actually very similar. If anything, it's a little darker than the NPCs. Pure black looks out of place in the environment. Darkshade goes into more detail and provides more examples here.
  12. When you get a chance, please update this guide to reflect the new changes to shard tutors. I'll mark this guide as outdated for now to prevent further confusion. If you're a player trying to use this guide to find a move, you should be able to locate it by the kind of move it is. Most physical combat-related moves now require yellow shards. Most healing-related moves now require green shards. Most tricky/special moves now require blue shards. Most other moves now require red shards.

    Tutor not working?

Trick is now a blue shard tutor.
  14. We won't be picking and choosing moves and adding them on their own based on demand. When the generation itself is implemented, the moves (and Pokemon/items) that were introduced with it will be added too.
  15. Rom hacks, whether made by us or a third party, will never be used. If/when Johto is implemented, it will be done using an official game as a base. I'll lock this thread for now as there's nothing to really add to it.

    Color Thingy 2.0

    Works pretty well for me~

    So I'm just wondering

Depending on how many people are farming berries, they could end up being cheaper/similar in price on the GTL than they were at the berry merchant. Only time will tell. As long as you're remembering to water your plants every so often, berry farming is something that can easily be done alongside other tasks. The removal of the merchant sounds shocking, but it's not the end of the world. Berry farming isn't an impossible chore and can end up being a source of profit if you choose to make it so.

    UPDATE HYPE

This update should be pretty interesting. There are some things to be excited about~ No characters or Pokemon are being deleted, no need to worry.
  19. It's still being judged, please be patient.
  20. Sylveon is currently completely impossible, and there are no sprites for Shellos and Gastrodon in gen 3. The Pokemon were planned and are were a few unused cries left in the game, but without sprites and names, they can't be added without full gen 4 support. The sprites you're thinking of are the early design backsprites left in Diamond and Pearl. On that note, implementing Pokemon is not as simple as dragging and dropping them into the game regardless - making any gen 4 Pokemon available would make HG/SS or another gen 4+ rom an absolute requirement to play the game at all. The problem isn't a lack of dex space, it's a lack of the existence of the Pokemon in Fire Red. If/when generation 4 is properly implemented, we will have these Pokemon, but we aren't going to be picking a handful of Pokemon and implementing them before then for a huge variety of reasons.
  21. It may happen in the future but is not currently the development focus.
  22. This feature was intentionally left out. It undermines the AI and overall makes the game too easy.
