  1. It's just RNG doing its thing. We haven't given each evolution line a cooldown after appearing as an alpha, but we probably will later to prevent excessive repeats like this from occurring.

  3. This isn't really possible (in a way that looks good) without a significant redesign of the item. It currently uses a non-standard green to match the miniboss it's based on, and uses some midtones between green and yellow to blend the lion into the backsprite.
  4. If it sees that it can KO something, it's usually going to try to. You can avoid this by investing more EVs into bulk and making sure your HP is high by the end of phase 2.
  5. This one wasn't me (mine were the Skull Helmets, Bone Clubs, Cthulhu masks, and Paladin's Shield), but a helmet was made for this costume at some point. It doesn't seem like it was included in the bags, but we might be able to add it in. Thanks for the reminder.
  6. It won't be next update, but the available ones will be added to the format when I have more time to dedicate to it, and I haven't forgotten about Assault Gear either. New builds will be made for new options and old ones that are strictly outclassed by them will be updated or removed. Anything that received a large buff will have its level reduced to compensate. Randoms will likely always be a few weeks or months behind all future HA releases to give them time to trickle into the game and an opportunity for players to familiarize themselves with what's new.
  7. The alpha Kanto starters are limited and won't be released again, they're included in the dex because you can still obtain them by trading with other players.
  8. It's due to the season changing. Snorunt becomes less common during Summer, including within hordes.
  9. The reason for the extra smoothness with PokeMMO is both due to how the sprites are animated and an upscaling step which occurs before they're fully rendered. In Gen 5, sprites aren't actually flat images; instead, they're broken into multiple pieces which are moved, rotated, and scaled independently. We animate the sprites in the same way as the ROMs, but the NDS's very small display resolution results in a squished and distorted final sprite which is not replicated here. This is unfortunately very difficult to imitate when creating a mod, and we don't export upscaled sprites at the moment because the animated results would be slightly different depending on your platform. Your options at the moment would be to locate similarly upscaled animated sprites to work with or to directly edit the shiny palettes within your rom.
  10. If the rest of the team was Mismagius / Wobbuffet / Drifblim / Chandelure / Dusknoir, the Jellicent actually does have a Choice Scarf, and it has high enough speed for it to matter.

  13. Damage on spread moves is reduced when they hit multiple targets, you can get accurate ranges for this by switching your calculator to doubles. The damage output returns to normal when there's only one target on the field, which is why Swift did the amount of damage you were expecting afterwards.
  14. This broadcast was temporarily disabled to assist with server load during the anniversary event. We ended up forgetting to re-enable it, but it's been fixed now, thanks for letting us know and sorry for the inconvenience.
  15. The player who ended up winning the tournament had no involvement with the disqualification. Griefing which disrupts normal gameplay, like a coordinated effort to intentionally waste other players' time by performing swaps until tiebreakers kick in, is against the rules. At the time, the decision was made to end the battle because we felt the players' actions qualified as griefing. It's a battle we would have ended if it were being played in a manual tournament. Upon reviewing the replay though, I believe the battle was cancelled in error and should have been finished normally. To compensate for the error, both players are receiving additional RP equal to the first prize for the trouble.
  16. Mach and Drain Punch are already included in Machamp's builds along with the other moves introduced during the same update. The new abilities and currently available HAs will be usable in randoms next update.
  17. This issue should be resolved next update. The hidden ability will be lost in the process, but you will be able to breed them.

  21. The event ends in ~3.5 hours, at 0:00 UTC. The 12pm in the changelog was a mistake, it's been fixed to state 12am. Sorry for the confusion. The boss will disappear when the event ends.
  22. Start the battle with your lv1 mon then switch out immediately. You'll have to sit through some attack animations, but the bonus from the Soothe Bell can potentially save you some time due to how many levels it'll apply to. After the first battle though, it's probably faster to give it an Exp. Share as you won't be gaining 10+ levels at once anymore. The post you're responding to is 5 years old, so I don't know if this is still as impactful as it was back then. I think we buffed the happiness gain from leveling at some point, but I might just be misremembering.
  23. There's no drawback to catching the Pikachu. If more appear, you'll be able to catch them too.
