buying breeders cant even be called a fix for that, someone had to go through the process of breeding that mon, just to sell it, so they can buy a different mon. for a new player that's their only avenue, and good pokes on their go for a lot of money, which a new player also doesnt have.

There's plenty of ways to acquire the money to breed faster and easier as well to just straight up buy comp pokes. If you want a team of full 5x31 pokes it's going to be difficult/costly. There's cheaper ways like going for 28s and 30s instead of all 31s.

  2. It honestly depends on stats and what you want it to do. Pvp happens at level 50 which means with no nature or ev investment a 30 and 31 are the same stat. That obviously changes with one or the other. I usually breed for 2x31s and 3x30s, the 31s going to what ever stats I find most important. But going as low as 27 or 28 on a iv is only a 2-3 stat difference and can be barely noticed on things like fast attackers that can't take many hits anyway. Sweepers are fine with 28/31/28/x/28/31 ( apply the same to special attack ). A pokemon that wants to be defensive is fine with 31/x/31/x/28/x ( apply for special or if you want speed and attack ). I've seen some of the best players in the game use some pretty terrible iv pokemon before.

in this point, you're correct. Most part of physical walls that usually are a problem to blaziken, go to UU by usage, So, blaziken now have a small number of counters and checks on tier. However, NU metagaming now is pretty much offensive. Or you win faster, or lose faster. On counterpart, UU start to being a defensive metagaming. Porygon-z, tier's best special offensive, are on risk of ban(too much players wanting this. Now, a new suspect test isn't a question if will happen, now is when will happen, because now doesn't have anything more broken that "veteran" players will care and ask their ban(before have, KR and Dugtrio) and their will come at full force to ask Porygon-Z's ban.)

NU having a more offensive meta can be attributed to the high usage of Blaziken. As both of us said there aren't many counters to it meaning it's better to try and hit it first. I haven't read up on the classifications lately but doesn't this qualify as a offensive Uber? It's literally turned itself into a benchmark of the tier that if you don't pass you're likely going to lose.

Dugtrio banned of UU, King's Rock banned from all tiers too, the only thing that probablly will be asked in this thread is the ban of Porygon-Z on UU. I will pick up my popcorn and watch.

I wouldn't mind Blaziken moving up for a month or 2 to see how the meta not only changes but warped around it. I don't know anyone that makes a NU team and doesn't think about how to counter Blaziken. It's stab coverage hits the tier pretty hard and NU has limited options to be solid counters to it. Not to mention outside of the extremely common scarf set you can be caught off guard by a band or orb set and be 2 shot even on bulkier Pokemon. In conclusion you either have to guarantee you're faster or run one of the few pokes that resist both it's stabs. Also can't be burned.

As a example would be awesome if we could /pokemon or /list to see a list of pokemon on that route

or location, and the rarity of that pokemon. Another example could be /event and if there was a event scheduled for that day it would prompt us with a link or details. A command like /price SuperPotion and the price would be shown. Things that would be convenient to all the players and would take some of the load of mods. This is my first time posting anything like this so I'm sorry if I did something wrong.

As far as I know most if not all of this info is already present in game for the players to utilize. Pokemon locations as well as rarity in each location is listed in their dex entry, upcoming tournaments can be viewed as well as past tourneys, prices our found via the gtl and the devs even added color codes to show when something is normal or abnormally priced.

im trying to get into the nu tier and i faced a mon with bet up. I tried to counter the beat up user with a mon holding rocky helm. ofc this didnt work xd the beat up user only took damage once from rocky helm.

so i was wondering how does beat up work in pokemmo? and how do you guys counter beat up users ? or in particular how do you counter ambipom? So far i have faced it in 90% of the teams i faced and its just a beast xD. Please help me a poor noob thanks ?

Steelix, a fighting type like hitmonchan or top, rhydon/golem, poliwrath, drapion, eviolite magneton or gurdurr.

when to invest in hp, defense or sp. defense? i mean is there a consensus when it comes to priority? for pokemon that focus on attack/sp. attack and speed i mean, not those whose focus is any of the aforementioned attributes.

Generally depends on the pokemon and what it does best. Like bulkier pivots or walls will focus on HP and it's better defensive stats ( some do opposite like Chansey ). Slower/bulky attackers generally focus on hp and it's preferred attack stat since it won't out speed much anyway. Some people will put a small amount into speed just to make sure theirs is faster than other.

  8. Not sure if it's been suggested yet but the game could really use a female counterpart for male only pokes. Like the Nidoking and queen change ( example: making a miltank male would make a Tauros ). It's a simple change that would effect pvp and make these pokes not ludicrously priced vs the other mons surrounding them.

Okay, let i explain the problem:

Electrode, assuming nature Timid/Jolly(Timid if you use Volt Switch or Teleport, Jolly if Explosion), had 222 Speed, assuming 31 IV speed and 252 EV speed. How you will pass those speed? Blaziken, the most used mon on NU,and are most used Jolly Scarf, only reach on a maximum 217 Speed, fully trained on this stat.

The problem is your base 150 Speed, that well trained, make your mon more faster than ANYTHING on Never used. So,you can set screens before opponent try to punish this.

That's pretty much what I said. Slaking beats it but is a terrible option and there are other choices but it limits your team just to out speed and one shot a single poke.

Walls cannot counter directly Electrode, but depending on wall, can counter any mon that electrode are supporting.

    And other reasons:
    - Electrode is very faster. Even scarfed mons from NU, like Blaziken, cannot outspeed him. So, unlike other Screen Setters, that you can outspeed and KO before they set up, Electrode can set Screens safety, unless you use taunt with priority boosted due to Prankster.
    - They moves allow some mon to enter with security in field, like Explosion, Volt Switch or Teleport. In 3 cases, you can put a mon and start to set up.

There are options to out speed and one shot but they make you go out of your way to plan for this one mon and limit the effectiveness of yours. The worst example I can think of is scarf slaking and like I said that's the worst since it's set up fodder itself.

Can someone explain why I see "NU doesn't have good walls" as an argument supposedly in favor of an Electrode ban? Are walls a direct counter to Electrode? What's the deal with that? Is Blissey the ideal switch that prevent Electrode from doing its job? If no, what walls are you guys refering to?

Quagsire and Golurk should both hard counter Electrode. One isn't even effected by explosion and the other has water absorb to face down the likely ensuing Feraligatr. Electrode could run hp grass but then it would miss out on one of it's more useful moves.

Reason is simple: King's Rock post. Some players argumented that: If mon had less than 6% usage, then automatically isn't viable in tier(This make a little of sense. If mon aren't good, then he will not be too used, except in some teams.), to defend that the only counter for Cloyster King's Rock isn't viable and cloyster king's rock need to be banned because he had no viable counters on OU

Now, the argument used is returning back against players that want to defend Electrode stay on Never Used. The only thing that i can do, is pick popcorn on Swiss Shops, and watch.

It still doesn't have above 3% usage like you stated but with Venusaur moving up Whimsicott has better chances of survival and being used.

@OrangeManiac UU also has more viable walls and better Scarf users that can stop Azu and Venomoth even after set-up. Everyone keeps mentioning Absol and other crit users as stoppers to screens, but you also have to recognize how dangerous they can be with effective screen support, which is what Electrode offers.

Not to mention most of NUs crit users have terrible bulk except drapion ( not the greatest special bulk though ). Absol and Honchkrow both have to worry about explosion or volt switch. Relying on a non 100% sucker punch crit to counter something makes for terrible play. Neither for nor against Electrode moving down just helping present information.

Feraligatr looks op now in NU

It's definitely a strong choice but I feel like there are currently things that still wall it well mostly in Poliwrath. Venusaur could come in for a revenge kill if it's faster but 1 dragon dance allows ice punch to one shot if Feraligatr is holding life orb.

    +1 252 Atk Life Orb Feraligatr Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Venusaur: 169-200 (109 - 129%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Anybody can obviously go with a more physically defensive Venu but then it'll lack the power and speed it favors instead.

  15. Venusaur feels like a great move to me. It's range of damage and support sets made pokemon like Blaziken more difficult to deal with. Something like Vileplume will probably take it's place but it isn't as bulky or fast.

Edit: I don't feel the same about the Toxicroak movement as it makes a decent counter to a few things in the NU tier namely Sharpedo and Feraligatr. Poliwrath fills a similar spot to this but lacks the power for easier KOs that croak has and leans more toward a stall/bulky set up.

Johto is tomorrow, not hidden abilities. But in all seriousness they are likely still working on the implementation of them ( I hope... ). More than likely their implementation still won't be for a long time but they have been very silent lately so one can hope.
