ShadowBruhh666 reacted to ScizoMonkey in Why so many people are leaving the game
I love the game and have praised the dev team many times in the past, but I think the recent choices have been counter productive on players retention.

    - 1) Alphas were supposed to be a way to get or breed COMPs and semi-COMPs in an easier way, and it was a great idea!
but honestly I think the catching rate has became ridiculous now, it just takes way too much time, cost too much money in balls, and at the end the alpha will just kill itself with struggle, even after 25 balls while asleep at 1HP  I play since 2013 and I find it ridiculous so I can't imagine how a new player would feel.
Every time players find new strategy it gets immediately nerfed.
I made a suggestion about making players able to craft masterball, it could be a nice way to add value to items in the economy and new things to farm.

    2) Legendaries : they were something that was promised long ago, and sadly instead of raids or dungeons all we got is some kind of shiny hunting tutorial. But going left-right ad aeternam isn't really fun gameplay.
3v1 boss fights with other players would have made more sense IMHO
The encounter rate is too low and players get burn out quickly.

I think PokeMMO should focus more on guilds, team play(outside of seasonal events), and PvP (like bringing back lc and introducing stuff like monotype tier or pika cup)

For the PvE part, since like 80% of players leave after finishing storyline, I think a Nuzlocke or Hardcore or Monotype or  Soul link or speedrun or All at once would be a nice way to go, looking at content that works on twitch and youtube

For PvP an automated clan war would be super nice, and automated team tournament also.

DISCLAIMER : I love the game and the community, I am just trying to bring constructive ideas, please don't roast me like the time I said Johto region is useless except pokeathlon

    Features
Platinum The Sinnoh region is now available. Storyline content for this region has been completed, but several post-game areas (e.g. Battle Frontier) are currently in development. This region requires a Platinum ROM file. PvP Battle Boxes are now available in the PC for inventory management. Battle Box parties may be used wherever PvP is possible. "Normal"-type duels no longer affect overworld party statuses / HP. They now behave as temporary battles, in the same way as Tournament Mode / Matchmaking battles. Added a "Forfeit" button for PvP battles Consumed held items are now automatically replaced when consumed in PvP. General The VS Seeker now automatically broadcasts NPC rematch statuses when loading into a map The VS Seeker item's function has been removed. It will be reimplemented with a different function at a later date. Added effects for the held items: Red Card, Eject Button, Micle Berry. Red Card and Eject Button are now available from BP vendors. This completes battle held item support for Gen 5. Added Sky Drop This completes move support for Gen 5. Added TMs for: Leech Life, Nature Power TMs are now region-agnostic, and are available with all levels of ROM file support. Previously Gen 3 / Gen 4-exclusive TMs are now available in several shops throughout the world. Swarms now show species in the overworld. Swarms no longer adjust encounter tables. Battle sprites now render at higher internal resolutions. To adjust this scaling, see the Front/Back Battle Sprite Render Scale options in the Video tab of the Settings menu. Dex updates: Wild encounter information in the Dex should now be much more accurate, now shows Hordes, and now shows time blocks (Morning/Day/Night) for species if applicable. Forms are now shown in the Dex. Added Item Finder functionality Rare Candies can now induce evolution if the target is lv. 100 Added Icy / Moss Rock evolution areas to Kanto/Hoenn
    Balancing
Baton Pass will no longer pass stat stages Encounter rates of species and hordes for all regions have been rebalanced EXP gained from the Daycare has been reduced from 60% to 20% Daycares can no longer violate regional badge cap restrictions when picking up a target. If excess XP is given, it will be stored and available after the next badge is completed Many species will now learn some moves "on evolution". These are marked in the Dex under the  "EVOLVE" category, and can be relearned through a Move Relearner Watchog EV yields updated from 1ATK->2ATK Honey Gather Honey items are now untradeable Storyline script-based wild encounters can no longer be shiny This only affects wild encounters which are triggered by NPCs in the overworld, e.g. the Snorlax blocking the road on Kanto/Route 12 HM items' moves may no longer replace other HM moves Wild encounters may now always cast Fling, even if the item doesn't have a fling power
    Miscellaneous
When sending mail, the person receiving the letter must now have been online within the past month Rival names have been removed. Rivals will now use default names depending on your language. Max member counts for player ranks in Teams have been removed. Original Trainer names will now be updated to match the player's current name.
If names match but trainer ids do not match, the original trainer name will be replaced with "Unknown OT"
PokeMMO now uses lwjgl3 for graphics APIs (previously: lwjgl2). HDPI monitors should be better supported This also allows support for certain Java 11+ environments. This primarily affects modern Linux distributions which distribute Java 11/Java 13 as default-jdk Experimental Linux arm32/arm64 support. Windows XP and Windows Vista are now deprecated platforms. Support for these platforms may be removed at a later date. The minimum macOS version is now 10.9.5+ (from 10.7.5+)
    Bug Fixes
Many errors with skill data have been fixed. This primarily affected: SPECIAL/EGG-move deduplication (for new TMs, and legacy SPECIAL/EGG moves becoming more available) TM/TUTOR propagation (where applicable) Removed an erroneous tutor from the Weavile tree Fixed Shedinja's PREVO_MOVES block Sinnoh-dependent EGG moves are now possible to see / breed Fixed Volt Tackle display for the Pikachu family Many errors with skill animations have been fixed: This primarily affected unsupported motion types for some skills, e.g. Ember Also adds support for many status ailment skill animations Improved zoom levels in GBA areas with varying resolutions Held items are now automatically removed when a target is released in the PC Fixed repel counts not being correctly displayed when logging in Rare Candies can no longer be used if the target has stored XP Fixed fanfare sfx not resuming music if sfx volume was off Android: Fixed an issue where some icons would grow bigger every time an object was moved between PC slots Fixed an issue where, if a target was holding an Everstone, and it was temporarily removed from battle (through e.g. Thief/Knock Off/etc.), it would not prevent evolution Fixed an issue where untradeable seeds could not be planted Added a confirmation prompt when releasing from a PC, via a Summary window. This and existing Release confirmation dialogues now also default to "No". Fixed Fling cast restrictions Fling can now fling items which have no battle effect, e.g. Potions. Unnerve no longer restricts Fling / Natural Gift Fixed Binding Band's % description Fixed an issue where, if an NPC-owned Illusion ability owner were knocked out in one hit, its Illusion would never break Fixed Water / Fire / Grass Pledge ally message targeting Fixed Water / Fire / Grass Pledge secondary effect invocation Previously, this was based on speed. Now it will invoke a secondary effect depending on its typing (Fire > Grass > Water > Fire..) Water / Fire / Grass Pledge combo skills will now invoke immediately after the first skill, instead of waiting for speed Fixed an issue where, if Pluck / Bug Bite were used, and the target were knocked into HP activation range for a berry, the berry would activate instead of being stolen by the attacker Fixed an issue where continuous cast moves (e.g. Rollout) would not be cancelled properly when Interrupted This primarily affected status ailments, e.g. Paralyze, and Disable-type effects Fixed Thrash applying confusion if the Thrash were interrupted Encore will now last for 3 skill casts, instead of 3 turns Previously, Encore could have its effectiveness reduced if the caster were slower than the target Moves with special secondary effects, e.g. Volt Switch / U-Turn, will now behave properly when invoked by Moves Which Call Other Moves (Metronome/Sleep Talk/etc.) Fixed a deadlock which could occur if attempting to Fly from certain bike-restricted maps Fixed safari flee rates for many species Held Items which trigger on HP / Status Ailment conditions (primarily berries) may now activate immediately when stolen or given by an opponent, if the appropriate condition is met Some Gen 5 species can now be used as followers (Affects Munna/Musharna/Victini/Patrat/Petilil/Minccino/Krokorok/Zorua/Cottonee/Deerling/Keldeo) When arriving in Hoenn by boat, players will now be placed outside the building

As everyone can see with pressing C, we have trainer cards. Those numbers helps us to see our situation and reminds us that we enjoy this game.

    This card includes;
Pokedex infos, Money you have, BP The time u spent Obedince level Badges and the date you began this game. But would be better if other people can see our achievements too , no? If we could check other people's cards with clicking on them

    It would be nice if we can show another version of those trainer cards to other people;
Pokedex infos, The date you began Maybe your favourite pokemons. Some notes about themselves as any social community profile. Team Infos. Also maybe pokemmo staff can add our achievements on tournaments too. Example, Top 4 people at tournaments. The rewards they won. Shortcut to that tournament.  Maybe pokemmo staff can give some rewards to players with more than 1000 hours gameplay. 2000h, 3000h and more... Maybe a special vanity for those people to make other players stay more online in this game.
Of course, those infos can be hidden or visible depends to player's wish. Would not this be nice?
    Looking for support.

ShadowBruhh666 reacted to Eggplant in "Promote" as a guild permission
We currently have "invite", "kick" and "edit team message".

    I suggest a 4th column, "promote".

This way, executives can promote members to officers.
It's a fairly standard permission that doesn't need to be exclusive to the boss.

Add any restrictions you feel like (ex: can't change the role of someone above your rank).
Name the permission whatever you like. But you get the idea.
Just a 4th column in guild tab with more checkmarks.

    SWEET SCENT POKEMMO MAP

    WHAT IS SWEET SCENT?
"Sweet scent" is a pokemon move that could be used also outside battles. Usually only few grass pokemon (or Smeargle) can learn it. The PP base points are 20 and outside battles it needs 5 pp to work properly. Particular items could help you to restore the total amount of PP if you are far away from a poke center.

    HOW DOES IT WORK?
Easy, just select your pokemon and press on it. Then click on "sweet scent":
it will lures hordes of pokemon when used in tall grass, seas or caves. It requires 5 pp each time.

    WHY IS IT SO USEFUL?
Using "sweet scent" you could easily cut the time needed to train your pokemon (EVs training)
or catch your preferred shiny (if on the list above).

WHEN CAN SWEET SCENT BE USED?
"Sweet scent" can be used in any moment of the day-night time period.

WHERE CAN SWEET SCENT BE USED?
"Sweet scent" can be used nearly in any part of the game while through grass, caves and seas. However, the results of the move largely depend of the place in which it is used. This map is therefore created in order to put light on this issue and to help players to find the right place to achieve  personal purposes.

The map could be incompleted; in case of new findings please write a post below regarding it. I will definetely add your information in this guide, so any help would be really useful :) Let's catch them all!
SPECIAL THANKS TO DARYL, XATU, JEISEUN, BAALSLAYER, WADE  for the collaboration!

The vanity is already in the game, it already has its own slot for shoes implimented. Why can't be have the option to buy them in the mart? It would be nice to be able to match the shoes with your outfits without having to buy a 1.3 million yen makeover kit just to do so. Same can be said about the pants vanity. Don't really see any reason why we don't have this option

    PokeMMO: Secret Base Basics

Hello fellow citizens of PokeMMO, I hope you're enjoying your experience here so far. In the general discussions on forums, I saw a resurgence in questions about the Secret Base. Due to the amount of questions the community and staff receive often, I made this guide so if there are any more Secret Base questions, players can then be directed to this guide. As the Mayor of PokeMMO, I felt like it was my duty to make this guide. Without further ado, lets talk about the Secret Base locations and the shops that you can buy the decorations from.

    Basics:

    Types of Secret Bases:

    Secret Base Locations:
There are 75 locations where Secret Bases Can Be Made

As for the shields, you need to win at least 50 consecutive battles for the Silver Shield and 100 consecutive battles for the Gold Shield (this only applies to any activities inside the Hoenn Battle Frontier).

As for the Pretty Chair (6,000 Steps) and Pretty Desk (8,000 Steps), you need Volcanic Ash in order to acquire this glass furniture. For more details on this, please visit this guide:

I would really appreciate it, if a horde would get instantly killed by Field-Moves like Surf, Earthquake, Rock Slide, etc.

This makes Eving much easier and less stressfull for us all, since let's be honest it's just time consuming and nothing else! :)

ShadowBruhh666 reacted to TheSensei in Thank You for PokeMMO! :D
    Hi guys. :)

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the developers and staff that make this game possible. Pokemon is one of my all time favorite franchises, and I think we all know how desperately the main games desperately needed more MMO features. After playing several online Poke-MMO services, I can easily say that this is hands down the best one. First of all, they understand what it takes to transform a Pokemon game into a fully fledged MMO experience. It's not easy to solve problems such as economy balancing, networking, and a lot of other extremely difficult problems that arise when trying to bring a Pokemon game online. Furthermore, this game has been going strong since 2012. We all know how Nintendo is about their Intellectual Property, and if you asked me back in 2013 if I thought a game like this could weather the IP storm for over 5 years, I would say there was absolutely no chance. Yet here we are.

So thank you to everyone who makes this game possible. It's nothing short of a miracle.

I apologize in advance if this was brought up before, but I think it would be nice to have this option on an 18 hour cooldown like Morimoto. It's a shame that such a good and popular character is only used once.
