Programming-wise, that dfile.encoding thing shouldn't really affect the programming/logic section of the program. Dfile.encoding = UTF-8 simply saves files (in Java) with an UTF-8 language encoding, meaning that it will display several symbols even from different languages (as opposed to the old and obsolete ASCII). Are you sure you didn't edit anything else? Or, like, update your drivers?

There was never any doubt in my mind that bestfriends was going to win in the end.

@ProfesorEinsteinnn and I had been friends on PokeMMO since 2015. Earlier in the night, Einstein and I had a productive conversation about our roles in the community. When he told me that he was planning on resigning from the Mayoral Race, I knew what I wanted to do. @ProfesorEinsteinnn and @Haazuu welcome to the Mayoral Council! Together, we can host tournaments for people!

As for my campaign promise of researching for the tournament self help video on day one of my re-election, I already have a rough draft of a script. Now, I just need to look it over and consult with people before the video can be produced.

Here is an example of two of my many projects: Helping newer players become dedicated to the game. Letting them see a side to PokeMMO that is quite fun (like the upcoming competitive self help video that I am about to make). And older players can be nostalgic about the tournament formats that I am hosting.
 
These are not my only projects, but I mean it when I say, "helping players new and old." I would be here all day telling you about the projects that I have on my desk.

I only voted for myself once.
 
I would encourage people to vote for me. There are so many projects and competitive plans that I have on standby. Let me give you two choices:

1. Bestfriends Wins Re-Election:
 
a) Continues to work on projects that are currently on standby.
 
b) Hosting tournament formats that were not used in a long time. Reviving such formats would be an honor for me to do as Mayor. (I plan on making a separate department in my council dedicated to tournament making).
 
 
c) Working on an epic self help video for the Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel that could help out newer players on PokeMMO know about the competitive scene. Thus seeing a surge in competitive attendance.
 
2. Bestfriends Loses the Election:
 
a) The Mayor Bestfriends YouTube channel is shut down.
 
b) The council is retired.

Deppends on the country I guess. I was just reading about that just a second ago and in the US it's been recently allowed after the expansion of the fifth amendment to protect corporations in 2012.
 
In Colombia by contrast (where I live) it applies to all companies, public and private and it's actually quite a big deal every time there's an election

As keys said, they have promoted Einstein him as a team, which is conceptually wrong.
 
If LifeStyle wanted to be mayor I wouldnt vote for him just because hes my team's leadder. If he joined forces with umom I still wouldnt vote for either of them. and I shouldn't feel like I had no choice on the matter if I wanted to vote any other candidate.

I can’t speak for the others, but I’m not mad about there being a nomination thread, or there being reelections, the whole leadup was a good, memey waste of time before Sinnoh.
 
What I’m most mad about are the people who know and understand the entire meme that is pokemmo mayor and yet still don’t vote for Bestfriends.
 
And quite honestly, this post you just made shows just how ignorant you are, you don’t even realize you’re being a bully. You are trying to paint us as crybabies over this “fictional title”, but this title is something that BF quite obviously cares about; you think Einstein is going to care about it in any comparable capacity? Absolutely not. And, that’s why it’s such an asshole move to take it from Bestfriends and give it to Einstein.
 
So, yeah, please, tell me again how I’m being ridiculous standing up for Bestfriends.

Previously you said that your team is "with" Einsteinn and now you are saying that one is bound to find "a lot" of players with differing opinions and yet my numbers showed that to be untrue in this case, so who is getting it wrong? almost 93% of lava voted on profesor last time I checked my numbers, and that is enough for me to doubt what you are saying heavily. Once again, I never said that your club members aren't allowed to vote as they wish, what I said is that this is more like family voting or in this case club voting. You vote as your friends vote, as simple as that, and in my OPINION 48/52 proves just that. This election is a failure is my ultimate point. 

Yes, because the likelihood for that being the case is literally 0. I never said that Lava is forcing their members, that said, it is not uncommon for humans to do just that, to vote on their friends or as their friends. 48/52 says it all. Unless you are copies of each other then I stand with my "assumptions" The numbers are too ridiculous. 
 
 

I dont like bestfriends. Not at all. But the whole mayor dealio only matters to him, and you guys are actively working on taking that away from him. Let me repeat myself; You are taking away a FORUMTITLE to give it to someone that DOESNT USE THE FORUMS. The only thing he does is host tournaments, so yes, his only merit is literally giving stuff away. If he didn't do that, no one would vote for that rando.
