The staff can't even get a 3v3 team tournament bracket full, they're not going to expand to 5v5 and include even more niche metagames than the already fucking miniscule NU metagame. They're not going to make it 5v5 because then even LESS teams can participate, which, considering they can't even fill a bracket nowadays, isn't even considerable. Hell, even in 3v3, there's really only 3 or 4 teams which even stand a chance at winning anyway. This is a problem, as it basically discourages any rising "competitive" teams, because let's be honest, a new team will never be able to compete with the average TT winners like LYLE, AW, and PoAu. Fact of the matter is, they don't have enough skilled players, they don't have enough resources (see: breeders, people to borrow good comps from, etc.), and making that gap even larger isn't going to help anyone. UU doubles doesn't exist, for the simple reason that it doesn't make sense. The OU list for singles is based on the singles metagame. Doubles and singles are so different from each other they're essentially entirely different games. You cannot apply a singles list to doubles, because it's inaccurate, misleading, and arbitrary. UU doubles isn't legitimate, because there is absolutely no actual listing for it. As to creating something like that, that is simply not plausible. Doubles alone already has essentially no real playerbase, attempting to form a metagame of the less viable pokemon in Doubles is nonsense, as there are so little people playing to begin with that there really isn't much of a metagame present at all to begin with. In other words, UU doubles is nonexistant because there is no OU list for doubles for it to be based on, the lack of players and by extension developing metagame in Doubles means that making a list for it is unfeasible, and beyond all that, there simply aren't enough players to try and make up bullshit formats just because.
