ThinkNice
Is knock off still banned since we are using gen IV now? No. Also I'll be quickbanning Salamence now ktnx. Salamence is banned. The other two suspects remain. Link to comment

Pls, everyone knows Senile is the super chocolately fudge coated senior tier meister general, let me handle this. Salamence is now quickbanned from the test. BurntZebra
I mean, I was originally gonna use Dragonite, but Intimidate is so good in a meta where everyone's team is physically attacking, and it outspeeds Dragonite in case anyone runs it, AND can speedtie other mences. Dragonite is just /slightly/ outclassed. intimidate also allows magneton to come in on forretress and not die to an earthquake which is the main reason i wanted to run salamence, although not having a 120 base power fighting move hurts a bit with salamence Link to comment
Excelimpulse
I got a question. Isn't one of the things that keeps the dragons at bay are gen 4 moves like stealth rocks? I could be wrong but wouldn't it be wise to test with those moves first or are we planning on not getting them? Is that the reason for this order? Link to comment

So we can say it got banned there but when we said it wasn't banned in gen 3 and we had it banned here that arargument was irelevabt? If we're doing this right I think that should be tested. DoubleJ
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4customgame-199537950 Salamence-less match between Zebra and I. Take Home: Dragonite wasn't as effective for either team as compared to Salamence, the trapping system was still too good. Link to comment

DoctorPBC
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4customgame-199622833 me and ywreck gave it a shot. Tyranitar - Pretty darn good but can easily be taken down Gengar - Would have been better if it nailed the WoW Magneton - Would have been better if it trapped something Swampert - Godly physical wall but cant handle gyarados and lack of reliable recovery hurts Forretress - Shit Blissey - Slightly less shit Noad and DoubleJ 2 Link to comment

Rache
The PTS would probably be the best place to test the mechanics since it's 100% accurate (there's no sandstorm boost, certain moves are buffed, etc)~ You can make a team in minutes using commands, although EVs would have to be done through vitamins (doesn't cap at 100 anymore) and Pokemon would have to be manually caught (but quickly and easily modified into comps). Items can be spawned for you. /debuggivemoney <value> /debugsetability /debugsetlevel <party slot id> <value> (Party Slot ID = 0-5) /debugsetnature /debugsetskill /debugsetivs <party slot id> <0-31> <0-31> <0-31> <0-31> <0-31> <0-31> (Party Slot ID = 0-5, Order for IVs in this command is: HP ATK DEF SPEED SPATK SPDEF) Noad 1 Link to comment

BenGorgon
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4customgame-199649885 First game with Magnet, he ran a pretty conventional OU team pre-split. Dragonite took that crit with a lonely nature and went down like a sack of stones. Metagross is banded, and Snorlax still rolled with the punches pretty well. I found out after the game Snorlax was not running crunch, which would have been game over for me trying to stay in with Metagross. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4customgame-199652142 Gengar totally S Rank >.> Dragonite did a little bit better here, but I made the mistake of going bulky banded, so he had a really hard time out speeding anything. Saved me the annoyance of Breloom and called the Blissy bluff. Mag went with Crawdaunt for the lolz I guess, but with something else to back him up there, it is very likely I would have lost. Metagross making another appearance to clean house late game. Certainly S rank imo, just so much bulk and damage potential there. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4customgame-199659030 Again with the sillyness, Magnet comes out with a Jumpluff... Nods to Noads... Metagross puts in serious work here, sweeping the whole board... The Rhydon was not jolly max speed (which beats the uninvested bulky band set I was using on Metagross), so the there was not a lot to be done there. Again, I think Metagross is strongly deserving of an S rank here... ---- On Dragonite, its' access to a good deal of special moves and great base attack stats is great and all, but it does lose out in speed so much. I am not personally assured it is worthy of banning, but lets see as the tests progress. Link to comment
