Riga - A former manager who lost in the finals makes for a very entertaining season, as he'll be that much more thirsty for the trophy having come so close already 3. IGN: Jayfeatskydd [spoiler]Motivation: -Wanted to be a manager from the start of PSL -I know the comp community quite well, leading me to believe I can and will be making well-informed decisions in those I decide to bid on. -The Glory -More things for me to talk shit about -The Hype Experience: -4500 hours in game -COUNTLESS tournaments hosted -played in all PSL seasons prior to this -Currently lead PoAu(Leadership roll a manager should be familiar with). -Handsome as fuck [/spoiler] The form: IGN: Archinix [spoiler] Motivation: - PSL has brung out the best in players, which is why I'd like to become a manager. Being around this community since January of 2013, this event is the best way to bring out the best in a competitive player, it provides the competitive drive, and you see how players advance in a 10 week process. I have the free time, and I do believe I can make a repeat ofthe Delbirds from season 1. also the host is my father Experience: - Been around since Jan. 2013 - Was Staff for a while - I may or may not have brought NU into a tier (hue) - Started off in the best team in early 2013, then was staff, then co lead a semi successful "funish - comp team" with Vorred. - Became friends with a fair amount of the community, always been around to help out - Still a up and learning comp player, but I lead the first PSL Season to a win, going undefeated. My #1 favorite thing to do in PokeMMO is interact with the community. This game, without a shred of doubt, contains the best group of players I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and I would like to take my participation with each and every one of them to the next level. Managing a team, along with having the opportunity to recruit some of the best competitive players PokeMMO has ever known, will surely help me reach this goal. Experience: Ex-staff member, hosted the most recent Prom Night official that we have all come to love, reffed a few official tournaments, and have participated in many different forum competitions over my time here that really helped to strengthen the bond I have with the community even more. Three other things about myself, just cause: [spoiler]- The ability to communicate effectively is definitely my strongest attribute, and will without a doubt come in handy for everything that managing a PSL team entails. - When I put my heart into something, I see through it all the way until the very end, no matter how easy or difficult the path is to get there. - I try to see the positive in every situation, regardless of the circumstances. Noad Posted April 17, 2015 Share Posted April 17, 2015 After careful consideration and discussion, ThinkNice and I have come to a decision on who will be given the 5 manager spots and the 2 reserve spots. Before I announce the winners I just want to say how impressed that I was with the standard of applications that was received. I am certain that this year will be the best PSL yet with the list of awesome Managers we have. Without further ado, the 5 managers are: Rigamorty- Being a long time player we are certain that Rigamorty will put his knowledge of the community and competitive play to good use. He excelled as a manager in the first season, narrowly missing out on a win, so we are very excited to see what his team can achieve this time round. Rigamorty has proved himself to be a solid manager in the past and I am sure we will see some great things. Jayfeatskydd- Jayfeatskydd is always heavily involved in the community, hosting Pokedaily, a spontaneous series and now the unofficial masters. This motivation and dedication will surely contribute to his success in managing his team this season. Jay has always been a consistent player who is frequently seen on official brackets and was arguably the backbone of his team last season. All of these great qualities will surely make good manager material. OrangeManiac- Arguably one of the most diverse competitive players in the game, getting to the finals in many officials no matter what the tier is as well as sharing his experience as a member of the NU Council. We hope that OrangeManiac can put this competitive knowledge to good use when managing his team this season. On top of being a great player he is also a great guy and I am sure he will be the manager that everyone will want to be drafted by. Vorred- Another long standing player and a popular member of the community. We believe that Vorred will be able to put the experience he has gathered by running some of the biggest teams into leading his PSL team to victory. I've noticed Vorred is a great leader, recently helping CiX to win their first team tournament. Elcoolio- Last but by no means least, ThinkNice and I are really excited to see what Elcoolio brings to the table (ThinkNice is especially excited for the smack talk thread lol). There is a lot of motivation there and as the Thug's MVP from last season :P I'm sure Elcoolio has what it takes to pull a win this season. Probably one of the people I am most hyped to see manage a team. We also have the 2 reserve managers for this season which will be Archinix and Fredrichnietze, even though they are reserves they can still sign up as players for this season. Congratulations to the final five that will join the managers coming back for this season and best of luck to all!
