Hey everyone, i'm Edward and i joined the forum just to participate in this interesting contest. My in-game name is Hellenia. I'll enter with my sprite art depiction of Astrazelle, which was made in MS Paint. Actual Size: Resized: Design Breakdown: The rules informed me that it was best if we stayed truth to the artstyle, so i went ahead and did just that. Astrazelle is the gazelle pokemon, an animal that, of course stands on 4 feet and is electric/fighting type. So Raikou and Jolteon were indeed my main inpiration sources for my criation. Ken sugimori's electric pokemon like elekid, zapdos, jolteon and raikou seem to be depicted with spiky black spots to indicate electricity so i took that idea and incorporated a black thunder on Astrazelle's belly , which is where gazelles have their typical black/brown marks as well as some darker spots in other parts of the body, mainly in the head. The Iron legs and feet were not meant to be an indicator of an steel type, which Astrazelle is not. They were supposed to represent a fighting warrior's armour which, in my opinion fits it's fighting type better than anything else. And it is supposed to be what Astrazelle uses to either punch or kick. To make it more characteristic of a sprite from a pokemon game, i took the colours used on raikou's sprites for emerald and implemented them on Astrazelle's sprite. Good luck for everyone else, it was a good experience to do a pokemon sprite for the first time. Happy holidays :P Edit: I may soon make an actual non.sprite of my creature, if i find the time...

My suggestion is to take the gen VI mechanic of crits and use that. Basicaly it means crits won't do double the damage anymore but 1,5x the damage (still negating defensive boosts). Pros: - Less game changing crits - Better shot at recovering Cons: no

Recently I've been noticing how inconvenient it is in order to to remove held items from pc pokemon. Having tons of different teams ready for different battle situations, I usually leave held items on pokemon when I put them back in the box. I think it would be a benefit to everyone to have a button on the PC that allows for all held items from every box to be sent to your bag. It seems like a simple and easy thing to implement, and an even greater reward for all players trying to keep their held items in check.

(sorry for the double post) Here is the concept i had in mind considering the vast numbers of players from different countries and to give everyone equal chance to participate. The concept will be to form a team for each country in order to participate in the world cup. For this, each country will have to go through some series of challenges. 50s NU battle elimination rounds. 50s OU battle elimination rounds. 50s UU battle elimination rounds. 50s Double battle elimination rounds 100s OU single elimination rounds. When all of the elimiation rounds are cleared, the victors will be known as "Team <country name>" in order to respresent themselfs. If possible, a signiture will be made for those who have chosen to. To create an equal chance for everyone to participate, competitors from same countries will have to decide on when the elimination round for them should be. Referee's will be chosen from the same country as the elimination round or if there will be any volunteers to ref. In order for a country to participate in the Cup a 5 person team must be formed. If there are less then 5 players in a team, competitors will be asked if they can also compete on other aspects, if not they will disqualified. Each elimination round will be considered as an official event with a prize. Each elimination round will be 16,32 or 64 person depending on the number of participants.
