What is a Check?
A pokemon that under normal conditions can beat the opposing pokemon before it is itself beaten. Switching into the opposing pokemon should usually be costly, risky or impossible depending on the situation.

Edit 1: Weavile is a Serperior check by definition, at least in most situations, but this still has nothing to do with Gallade.

We have finally reached a point when, in the very rare situation where Caio is right and Sweet is wrong, some hiveminded people brainlessly side with Sweet, dismissing Caio, not because it is the logical thing to do, not because the argument tells them to do so, but simply because in their minds the argument is less important than whoever claims it. (Tip: It isn't)
 
Weavile IS a Serperior check. I don't care what gimmicks you want to extrapolate, or whatever you want to say or imply or claim. There is proper terminology in the Pokemon world and instead of actually fighting for or against the actual arguments, we loop between semantics where some have no idea what they are talking about.

Regarding Dugtrio, and, most specifically, Gb's post on it. It is true some of Dugtrio's targets can dodge. Some can pivot, others have enough bulk. Yada yada. But you missed the fundamental point. Dugtrio is not supposed to hard switch against them. It is supposed to gain free momenum beforehand so it can then trap its target. There is only one way (Barring the very irrelevant Shed shell), to prevent this, which is to never play the Pokemon before Dugtrio is taken down. Congratulations! Dugtrio has successfully pressured their threats without even being on the field. This is unhealthy. 
 
Or, is it? Magnezone and Tyranitar can, in a way, accomplish the same. So what is the difference between these two and Dugtrio? The amount of targets they possess. The first two have very limited choices, while Dugtrio is able to delete a very significant part of the format. This is the main reason why the Pokemon was chronically banned in most formats. It is very easy and worthy trading a death so Dugtrio can then safely delete the threat you want to get rid of.
 
But what is the unhealthy part? Is it Dugtrio? Is it Arena Trap? The issue with this question is you cannot completely separate the Pokemon from their ability (Or whatever else they possess). Afterall, Diglett and Trapinch are not an issue. Does this mean Arena Trap is inherently unhealthy? Both yes and no. 
 
Since this is probably hard to grasp at first glance, let me find something else: Wonder Guard. Is it broken, or unhealthy? Not necessarily. Afterall, Shedinja is harmless with it. Let's see another harmless Pokemon in OU: Jolteon (Yes, irrelevant enough so it is not even OU). Jolteon with Wonder Guard would be both broken and unhealthy. This is interesting because Jolteon by itself isn't an issue, and neither is Shedinja with the ability. It is the combination of the two that would make it a problem. 
 
Maybe you can argue Arena Trap isn't unhealthy. You can definitely argue Dugtio isn't broken. But you can't simply state that because A and B are not an issue and share an ability with C, then C isn't an issue either.
 
To answer the question. What is the unhealthy part? Not one or the other separately, but simply the combination of the two.

How TC sees sharpness on Gallade.

I struggle to see the problem, you got elo, and you got a fast match, thats it, anything else is extra, also worth noting that the only problem matchmaking suffers from is lack of playerbase, the playerbase sample is all concentrated in OU, since it's the tier with least changes usually, less risk of you losing value on a mon you bought/bred, and isn't rng heavy like doubles.

I am honestly not against the idea of winrate being an important factor, but I absolutely despise how it has been used for years when it is convenient, and outright ignored when it is not. 
 
 
Not too long ago, P-z was banned because it shared higher than acceptable usage and winrates (Amongst other things). I don't disagree with the argument, but turns out shaymin has consistently seen better usage and winrates (And arguable the most insane numbers we had ever seen recently), and no one bats an eye.
Rotom-wash had maintained better statistics than Gallade in a tier where it was arguably broken (Before Amoonguss had access to regen), however, those were deemed irrelevant for some reason. 
For the past few months Amoonguss had insane winrates coupled with abover average usages, both better than Gallade's, but it was fine.
 
So, is Gallade broken? I don't know. But if we want to use winrate as a factor, then we should consistently use it as a factor, regardless of a pokemon, and regardless of how convenient it is. If we do that, then lots of other things are higher in that priority bracket that Gallade is. There are lots of ways to argue how problematic Gallade is, but winrate is not one of them, unless of course we also use it for everything else.
 
And besides, Rotom has almost twice the usage of Gallade right now. Due to the way our winrate is displayed, skewed by mirror matches, the difference between both's winrates isn't that significant to properly claim Gallade has a true better winrate than Rotom.

I swear this community cant have good things. They must be so used to literal garbage that they criticize any attempt at creating an actual organized, polished and better version of what we already had. 
 
So, for the love of God, let the man work. He has been doing an enormous piece of effort towards what seems to be a really well crafted season. Of course every change of this magnitude comes with unpolished, unoptimized, and maybe some unwanted features or decisions (Not for everyone at least). However, watch this event as a whole, instead of nitpicking every small detail that has no reason to since there is still plenty of time before this actually begin. 
 
For the first time in a World Cup, this season looks good. Don't ruin it for others or for yourselves because of your unbreakable inertia of changes.

to use Cloyster kings rock is to play hoping to benefit from rng and win because of it.  
Cloyster king's rock is literally to bet what the 50% of chance of flinch to knock down your pokémon who deals with him. is the same what to play one coin for decide if you go knock down the Cloyster or lose you pokémon to 50%  the rng. where the pokemon that resist an Icicle Spear at +2 are steel pokemon like skarmory that doesn't drop Cloyster even if it survives. Magnezone and Ferrothorn which runs the risk of being flinched and falling off doing nothing. Rotom-wash that goes the same way. so you are dependent on priorities of pokemons like bullet punch Scizor that resists because it is steel, Lucario vaccunn wave, Conkeldur mach punch but if you click drain punch you can lose the conk to the rng. another priority would be Infernape mach punch but it doesn't drop in one, thus asking for a second priority to finish. Cloyster king's rock is seeking to decide the duel in a 50% chance. a duel in the game's pvp being decided by a simple toss of a coin.
