  2. Another LC Tournament Series Heyo, PSL approaching and it's time for another LC tournament series ! I will try to host them twice a week, usually around 10PM UTC (maybe I'll do a few at 1AM UTC for america time zoners too). This series exists thanks to YettoDie with a large donation ! LC metagame has changed a bit with the introduction of new HAs pokemon, and there hasn't really been opportunities to play LC since, so I want to use these tournaments to help players acquire and test new pokemons in this meta. If you participate in one of these tournaments, you are eligible to pay 300k for a comp LC of your choice in this list : Natu, Ponyta, Carvanha, Larvesta, Snivy, Trapinch, Koffing (mail me what nature you want and stats at level 5 with EVs. Don't ask for 5x31s pls uwu). Details Single elimination tournament | Single battle | 6v6 Location Lilycove beauty contest hall ch4 Date Saturday 17 December Time 10 PM UTC Registration Will open 30min prior to the tournament (whisper IGN : Poufilou / DM Discord) Ban List Check Little Cup Clauses and Ban list 1st Place Prize 1M $ LC Comp of choice 2nd Place Prize 200k LC Comp of choice 3rd & 4th Place Prize 150k Notes : I will record usage during these tournaments for LCPL tiering data
  3. OU: JorgeFirebolt vs ZioMOJI LC: RealDevilLegend vs KokenoCastro Captain Choice LC: NagaHex vs lQuirklesss 200 k each
  4. @Kyupretty please. If that's truly impossible can we at least get an improved battle log where the turn number is indicated in log ? It is currently polluted a lot, especially during tournaments where players spectating get in the way.
  5. I think the lack of donations just show that the people invested in wanting to play showdown tier in a pokemmo event just don't play pokemmo...
  6. Sure, but fighting kids was even less worth than common money making methods, if you wanted to get goodie bags, buying them was better than spending 12min for 8k value.
  7. I don't think they should implement kids at all next year, at least with the same conditions... fighting kids was nothing but a loss of time, and not even fun. They should re-think what they want this event to be imo. I don't know if the multiplication of activites (with the addition of wisps + the increase in swarms of interest + minibosses from last year) solves all the issues of an event whose economy and rewards aren't really well thought from the start. If devs want to keep separating activities, at least bring them equal values or interest from player - for example, buffing kids fights with cookies rewards, which were essential to beating the boss this year, and who were mostly obtainable by... not doing any event activities (trainer pickup drop). I also think it's high time you start scaling event boss at level 50... (or scale 50 mons to 100) the whole game is played at level 50, even casual players own level 50 pokemons when they do their once a year OU matchmaking, it would be better for the majority of players if they could try out their various already owned pokemons in a boss fight and multiply strategies without spending hours leveling. I could understand why, to prevent people from farming boss too fast and get too many rewards, but people who gonna grind boss crazy will make the efforts anyways (or pay others to do it), however it just ruins the fun for all others with casual grind. I think if you could move that effort (being able to fight the boss) somewhere else in an event activity (instead of non-event and boring activity that is leveling) it would be great.
  8. With no shiny ? Or for a specific target ?
  9. Heal weezing with your Assurance pokemon, keep Snarl to drop sp atk and keep taunting, a drop sp def is actually fine to handle, you take 1 more turn but you are safe.
  10. What do you guys think about creating a Youtube Channel to centralize all matches recorded ? We could collectively take care of it (like 4-5 people in charge of editing and posting videos) and it would be a good place to find any match from any event when we need to. Create a mail adress for the extra recorders to send files to or something aswell.
  11. Will HA be added to randoms in the next update and how many new sets will it create ? I know some pokemons already have HA movesets (like Nidoking) so I wonder if there would actually be new sets being added and if there are any HA that won't be in for balancing reasons. Could you give us some info on it ?
  12. I wouldn't be mad if @pachimabring back primary intent bullshit just to get it banned if thats what it takes
  13. Do you really "adapt" to ditto anyways ? Also feels like this is the opposite of "don't mind usage because it's biased by player capacity to aquire this mon relatively soon", and I don't see why we should mind usage on something that is probably overhyped and players trying it out cos it's easy comp.
  14. I am seeking donations for a LC tournament series, just good old regular tournaments weekly/whenever I'm free. I want to make them newly introduced HA themed, with prizes being : 1st place Perfect HA comp + maybe some cash. 2nd semi comp HA. 3rd-4th 200k discount on a LC breed. Might do some giveaways to new LC players too. The goal is to help people aquire new stuff while testing out new meta regularly. I can't really afford making a lot of them so I'm asking for donations, the goal would be 10M so I can comfortably host 6-7 of them. Reach me in Discord if u are kind and cool : Lala#5068
  15. Media partner thing is actually not a bad idea but it should be taken care beforehand by some kind of organization (call it the hype host that can be in charge or whatever) that will make sure they will do stuff and maybe organize events. If there is no plan for that I see difficult to implement money prize for em. If someone arises with good ideas and media partners are here to back them up it can probably be easily done.
  16. Idc for vanities removal but these additions are definitely cool and on par with value of pvp box
  17. Can you put them in order of appearance instead ? We don't know yet if they will rotate and re-appear in the same order but if it is the case it would be a very useful info to keep track of
  18. Hmm I guess you convinced me for the captain thing. Does that mean hiding donation amount ? Will we still have the order of teams updated in real time ? More exciting imo. I like Huargensy idea. Also what do you think about this
  19. I actually derped along the way and forgot at least 3 donators MUST come from previous year country (does it include captain btw ?). But tbh, the point still stands, I went to the furthest case of ill intent, but there are some countries with drama and stuff where the "dono" factor to separate the 2 clans is pretty stupid imo (that's more likely to happen). Tbh this just reinforces my idea that you need longer funding time. Once the first week is over, it will be a race to donations (depending on number of teams), and this would be more exciting with more time. Also, how do you intend to "close" the funding time ? What prevents captains to have donators on hold on the last hour and secure a place by signing them up ? The fact we share different time zone might make this an issue. To encourage players to be honest about their countries while still having that system of choosing, why don't you make a rule where players that are signing up (or asking to) to a different country than one they already played with before have a donation requirement ? (since they will never be part of the mandatory donators, unless they are players from a country that didn't make it, and in that case they fill the requirement by having donated). That way, players who "try" to make their country qualified by donating are on same level of those who don't and are just waiting to join a country where their friends are.
  20. Good initiative. Here's some feedback : Overall I like the captain and campaign funding system, I think it's high time that regular players think of donating to big events instead of relying on the same persons every time, and what you put in place incentivize it with some important factors. I would however give more time for captains to get donations, for two reasons : 1) In the event where smaller country teams lack players. By the time a team gets organized a bit and a captain decides to sign up a bit late in the week, that leaves only one more to secure a place, and we know that some team formations have been found only later in the scale of one month during this year player registration. Sure, getting 3 donators within that time isn't an issue, but securing the place with only these 3 may be one. 2) More hype. If you want more donations, making the campaign lasts longer will incentivize players to pay attention of their team donation total and make sure they will be in by donating more. Another thing : you can argue that it's not fair that bigger countries will have to spend less per players and they'd struggle less to be accepted. I don't really have a way of dealing with this in a fair way without hurting the donation total amount (capping donators per team seems not a good idea), but maybe you could come up with a formula where smaller teams that donate proportionnally a lot compared to their amount of players gets some bonus during selection process. I get the idea of funding and stuff, but I would not encourage this. Imagine a scenario where 1 rich player decides to claim a random country, he only needs 2 partners in crime (that dont even have to be from that country to basically block this country from participating in an easy way (if they have bad intentions). You don't even need a lot of money for that, even like 20M can sometimes be enough. This is just an example, but there are loopholes in this, and donations should never reflect the level of investment alone, and as a host you should encourage integrity and trust within a team between players and their captains. However this is cool imo. Is the staff confirming location will really be a thing or is it just a formality ? Also, it is said nowhere or maybe I missed it, but for this : Is it still the case if that player played for another country last year ? Are you keeping that rule ? If not, it's basically just having captains being verified ? Just because of that rule, I would encourage EVEN LESS the "better dono wins" in the event of 2 captains for same team. Because otherwise you can just make your super team of your friends and you claiming a country and it just ruins the purpose. I would suggest this : in the event 2 captains chose same country, the captain with the most players donators that already played for that same country in previous WC wins. I have nothing to say for the group stages and the tier list, except that I'm glad for LC to return and have its rightful place in this event.
