I'm now Officially Retired of Hunting those KoTH Legendary Pokémons! I felt Extremely Lost on my Mind & Extremely Bad of being Toxicity against my Ex Amigos & Chinese too! I've been Raged Quit from the Past since the Notification Spamming of Abandoned,Obtained & Grown Bored keeps ongoing & continually Haunting me on my Mind as saying *0 BPs Total!*, *You're too late of finding KoTH Legendary Pokémons* & *Skill Issues*. I also don't want to get Ban by Reporting of being Toxicity. That's why I'm Avoiding those Toxicity already!
 
I'm Deeply Apologize to those Ex Amigos & Chinese Players on causing Trouble a lot since War ongoing & forcing to get Rid of KoTH Legendary Pokémons too.  Until now, it's still remains Cursed on Forum that I've Posted Before.
 
When KoTH Legendary Pokémons are now Renewed soon, without being said! I'm now Officially Retired of Hunting KoTH Legendary Pokémons & I'm now more on Shunting Roaming Legendary Pokémons & Beldum too.

There has probably been a billion posts on this by now, but hear me out

There are 2 major issues with PokeMMO:

A) They assume most players are competitive, when 95% are casual
B) They make dumb decisions

The breeding system is the best example of this.

Breeding was one of the most fun activities in the original games. In PokeMMO, they changed it. Now, if you want an egg, you have to murder (or 'trade') the two parents to get the egg. Permanently

Their logic is that two good iv Pokemon will create more good iv Pokemon, causing inflation in the market.

The reason why this is terrible logic is because there are simple ways to fix this

A) Make the eggs random. Equivalent to when you find Pokemon in the wild. This way there are no advantages
B) Make certain eggs unable to be traded, or sold
C) There's a lot more that I'm too tired to type

Anyways, I understand why they wanted to do this. But again, their solution was terrible, and they also hurt casual players who make up most of the fanbase

Spend 3h and 40m to farm 1 amulet coin, In the gtl there are millions at 19k XD Pokemmo No bullshit just bots playing.. 
 
You go to Kanto island 1 and you find 20 people called ffffffhhj farming in the spot all day....
 
 
Literally any farming that is not gyms and leagues is a monumental waste of time.

People leave cause the game lacks an end game, its literally this simple. Shiny hunting is boring and if you say otherwise, please seek professional help. And comp wise you can find a better environment elsewhere where there is a functional TC and environment. Other than that you just chat technically, and you can do that elsewhere too

The devs also need to communicate more.  We did a massive grind for the wishing stone in December and havnt gotten any update now in May.

I love the game and have praised the dev team many times in the past, but I think the recent choices have been counter productive on players retention.
 
- 1) Alphas were supposed to be a way to get or breed COMPs and semi-COMPs in an easier way, and it was a great idea! 
but honestly I think the catching rate has became ridiculous now, it just takes way too much time, cost too much money in balls, and at the end the alpha will just kill itself with struggle, even after 25 balls while asleep at 1HP  I play since 2013 and I find it ridiculous so I can't imagine how a new player would feel.
Every time players find new strategy it gets immediately nerfed.
I made a suggestion about making players able to craft masterball, it could be a nice way to add value to items in the economy and new things to farm.
 
2) Legendaries : they were something that was promised long ago, and sadly instead of raids or dungeons all we got is some kind of shiny hunting tutorial. But going left-right ad aeternam isn't really fun gameplay.
3v1 boss fights with other players would have made more sense IMHO 
The encounter rate is too low and players get burn out quickly.
 
I think PokeMMO should focus more on guilds, team play(outside of seasonal events), and PvP (like bringing back lc and introducing stuff like monotype tier or pika cup)
 
For the PvE part, since like 80% of players leave after finishing storyline, I think a Nuzlocke or Hardcore or Monotype or  Soul link or speedrun or All at once would be a nice way to go, looking at content that works on twitch and youtube
 
For PvP an automated clan war would be super nice, and automated team tournament also.
 
DISCLAIMER : I love the game and the community, I am just trying to bring constructive ideas, please don't roast me like the time I said Johto region is useless except pokeathlon
 
 

Just two comments on this, I already commented on the video saying that I love both the production of the video itself and the data analysis that you guys brought to us!
 
The first thing is that Item Magnet Charm doesn't affect the chance of a Pokémon holding an item, but rather the chance of you picking up an item after a battle, be it via Pickup, Coalescence, Honey Gather or regular trainer pickup without any ability item, so using it for this grind is a waste.
 
The second thing is that Thief is probably better than Trick for this because it has more PPs so you're gonna have to heal a bit less. Although it might not matter considering you're gonna be at the same level as Muk so the healing trips may end up being as common as with Trick.

I'm not confident giving an ETA, but it will take a while. The version showcased during the event was in its early stages, there's still a lot left to do.

For my part as a designer, I have a better idea of how players approach them and how the mechanics can be improved based on the preview. My focus has been on revising / finishing upcoming boss builds and adjusting format balancing until it feels right. This aspect is going well, but implementation will take longer due to the quantity and complexity of the mechanics requested.

No, you're not shiny-locked.
 
-You're likely to become shiny-locked if you play for an excessive amount of time in early areas without making story progress. Making enough progress will remove the lock.
-If you've completed a single region's storyline (lv100 obedience), you won't be subject to restrictions in any region. You've done this so you have nothing to worry about.
-The base rate is always either 1/30k or 0, it doesn't scale with playtime or time spent hunting. New players do not have better odds.
-This should never affect anyone playing the game normally. Lucky players can still find shinies during their first storyline.
-There is no other way to become shiny-locked. Anyone on a long dry streak who isn't hunting before playing the game is just unlucky.

I dont see them dragging out the release of all the alpha starters another 15+ years personally. I hope if the anni event does come itll implement raids as well as bring the next wave of alpha starters. Even 4 sets of planned alpha starters spread out every two years is a long time of planned content so im hopefull we see them

Alpha Kanto starters are strictly limited and will never be returning. Starters from other generations may become available in the future and will likely be handled similarly.

Drop the dump file? If you're gonna go for the world record- the dump file would at least be able to verify the credibility. I'm at 179k, but my dump file only accounts for 80-179k. I've explained in my videos how I calculated 80k as a baseline when I started keeping track- so I am likely dryer, but I wont claim it. I wouldn't even trust my count as a 'record' if it got that high since I don't have dump file records for everything- due to not having the counter initially. It doesn't track eggs either which is a drag. With that being said, I have not seen anyone with dump record records higher than 170k. I'm sure there definitely are dryer ppl, statistically speaking. However, if someone came on forums claiming world record and said they went 300k+ dry or something- I wouldn't believe it unless I saw the unedited dump file. You can easily edit the count and fudge the number- its much harder and tedious to fudge a dump file.
 

I went to the Woods for the last few weeks to shiny hunt and noticed that you can easily catch Shroomish with Quick Balls.
Since the catching is pretty quick I thought I could just catch every Shroomish I see.
I used an Adamant Synchro Pokemon as the lead and used Expert lures the entire time.
1.2M Pokeyen and 1000 Shroomish later, these are the stats:
 
Highest IV: 159
Lowest IV: 30
Adamant Nature: 192
Gender Ratio: 53% Male / 47% Female        
1x31 IVs:145                      HP: 17 ATK: 30 DEF: 21 SPATK: 23 SPDEF: 30 SPE: 24
2x31 IVs: 17
3x31 IVs: None.

It's Poison Heal and Adamant too 😄

 
I sadly didn't track the encounters or how many lures I used. I think at least 600 Expert Lures for sure though. Would've been interesting how many Treeckos were encountered. Well, maybe next time.
Overall I am definitely very happy about the results. I will breed up all the 31 IV pokemon.
