I completely agree, but it's notably been the last few months that the Pokemon which have dropped into NU being hugely problematic and have completely destabilised the tier. It was a strong Pokemon, but they banned Roserade from NU but yet keeping Dugtrio? If only in an ideal world... XD (+1 from me)

This comment pretty much sums up how the staff and potentially TC stand with NU, despite it being a popular tier (potentially more than UU, but this is debatable of course). NU has always been the most versatile tier, and that's what makes it unique and fun to play, but it seems that all of the Pokemon which recently dropped down hardly had any discussions (e.g. Dugtrio) compared to others (e.g. Porygon-Z). People are complaining that UU is broken despite only having Porygon-Z drop down and Jellicent move up, and yes P-Z is a centralising mon, but let's have a look at what dropped off to NU in recent months and was laughed off by most people as being harmless in the tier despite being centralising themselves: Typhlosion, Azumarill, Dugtrio, Gigalith, Electrode (previously) Of course there are ways to handle each of these mon, but let's have a look at what to look out for in the world of matchup fishing: Gigalith / Stoutland Choice Specs Typhlosion BD Azumarill Dugtrio - Very hard to use previously commonly used Pokemon such as Houndoom, Drapion and even Blaziken/Magmortar to avoid being revenge killed. Unlike in UU/OU, many of the Pokemon are less bulky and there are less Pokemon with priority, and if they do their stats are obviously worse. It's also a lot more difficult to prepare teams as there is a lot more threats to look out for compared to the above tiers. It'll be interesting to see next month if Pokemon like Blastoise will just be freely dropped down into NU without any discussions (depending on usage) like with everything else. I've seen quite a few old players stop playing NU now because of how it's just a matter of 'Let's dump this here'. And once again the seasonal tournaments will be played after the tier changes kick in, as the OU tournaments would have been finished with, which means once again the NU players will be the ones most affected as they will have no time to adapt to the tier which will have the most changes in. I'm not calling for any of these Pokemon to be banned, (although Dugtrio should be looked into again), but I'm sure that I'm not the only NU player who asks that staff and TC puts more consideration into this tier as the amount of bias against NU compared to OU/UU is unbelievable, but unfortunately I don't see this happening anytime soon, if not ever. TLDR - NU is a mess and once again players will have to adapt in the seasonal tournaments when other tiers don't have to prepare for any changes.

Nah since nobody apparently cares about NU just dump it all there alongside everything else, hasn't stopped anyone so far and can't see TC voting against it.

Yes Azumarill can be a problem if your team isn't built correctly and you've let your Venusaur chip too much damage, but this isn't a huge deal in the tier as I thought it would. Typhlosion is meh and Gigalith isn't a problem at all, it absorbs a lot of special attacks yes but has no recovery compared to other walls (e.g. Clefable and Mantine). Also I don't see many Stoutlands used nowadays and you have Slowbro, Escavalier and other mon. Pretty much this.

As broken as the system and prices are for the event items, it's already been confirmed that Event Only and Time Limited items will never return so I can't see this happening. Realistically the best thing to do is re-introduce Seasonal and other items in unique ways, which usually return anyway.

To follow up on what the others said, you can still obtain them if you purchase the Goodie Bags, etc from that release year (they'll be very expensive and not worth the gamble) - hence why they're not Time Limited. But yes, they won't re-appear in new bags or upcoming events.

There's also one for Doubles going on right now, I agree it's a really nice idea and could be a signpost for players who ask questions about teams in the MMO Discord as well. I'll think of a team for this later in the week, doubt it's gonna be half as good as these entries though.

I have in-depth knowledge of business and have been trading on games successfully for over 7 years, also got a teammate who's studying a masters degree in finance. But yeah I'm the one who doesn't understand economics. Just to make it clear I sold my ghost costume for 1m back in 2015 (lol) and I currently have none of these 'rare vanities'. The majority of players can see that re-releasing these items will lose its nostalgia, the purpose of it being 'time limited' and generally not fundamentally change how the economy is run. While I do agree that gym runs aren't sufficient and more/better options should be available, I emphasise once again that this is an MMO, if you don't like the grind then don't play the game. lol

I think the issue is members from the TC currently aren't active or engaging in discussions, except for a vocal few. A few people have suggested for transparency regarding why each TC member will vote to ban/unban a mon going forwards which I also support - this would give us insight into why each member made their respective decision. Also regarding the link you posted above I think it was the fact that there was no formal post or announcement like you would do with the movement discussion threads - I only found out by chance because someone told me.

This is true. Another major factor is GTL prices can be misleading - for example there can be 1-2 Skeleton Costumes listed on GTL for 80m, but because the demand is so low, you see it re-listed or advertised on Trade chat for 40m the very next day. This is what I find to be an issue with certain time limited vanities, not necessarily the in demand ones like the ghost costume, skull masks, etc. Anyway I second this - a great guide which will help a lot of people, I could potentially create one for the common shinies to help beginner shiny traders.
