Welcome to PokéMMO Grand Slam - Finals

 

This is the Final Tournament Thread. After a long period of Qualifiers, the day has come.

 

Finals:

- How battles will work?

- It would be a Best of 3 until Semifinals. First Match will be on Tier of Highest-ranked player's choice. Second game will be on tier of Lowest-ranked player's choice. If a 3rd Game is needed, it would be on Highest-ranked player's Tier choice.

 

On finals, the battle would be on a Best of 5 on all formats. Highest-ranked Player choose the first 2 Matches' tiers, remaining would be choosen order by draw.

 

- Who would be able to play?

- Top 16 of the standings of Slam, determined during qualifiers that happened during January until April. Next 16 gets reserve list: If anyone of top 16 declines the invite , next one pick their place.

We've noticed that until semifinals we can't control tiers choosen so tiers can repeat(rule changed). On finals, still can't.

 

- How Bracket will be determined?

- After the day of Finals be determined, we will launch a deadline to submit entry who have qualified. The people that will play will be splited into 2 seeds for round 1 and will be determined the round 1 matches with a draw. On Round 1, players cannot be matched with players from same seed. Remaining rounds will be random bracket.

Prize: $7,100,000(Can increase)

 

50% goes to First Place

30% goes to Second Place

15% goes to Third Place

5% goes to Fourth Place

(I was thinking early on give a small % to Qualifiers First Place. However, since I've won the Qualifiers Standings, i will let the money go on Finals Prize Pool.)

 

Additionally, we will add 6 mons on Prize Pool: 1 Rotom and other 5 mons pre-determine; One per tier. 3 of them will go to First Place, and he will pick first. 2 go to Second Place and he pick after. Remaining mon will be send to 3rd Place.

My idea is add 1 mon of each tier to winner + a Rotom(Rotom because he is usable on all metas except LC, depending of the motor.). Maybe one of top used.

Poll on Main Thread ended, and by a 3-2 vote, the finals will be after LCPL ends. 

 

LCPL are scheduled to end on 11th June. Finals will take place starting on 18th June. (This also gives me more time to increment prize pool, currently are trash 💀)

Well, no one sended the mail, besides @Bertolfoso, so the finals are me, vs Bertolfoso.

 

The loser wins 2 of the 6 mons and $2,5m. 

The winner wins 4 of the 6 mons(able to choose) and $5m.
