HDB + Weakness Policy? You can use 1 item only. Please Clarify.

I think what f*** up is the tournaments. Ladder it could be solved by forcing a Tie because people would not play stall, since they would not win anything.

Caio you keep thinking somehow that stall wins by achieving ties, that’s not how the archetype works, that’s not how it wins tournaments and you should really play it before talking any further about it because you have a very obviously distorted view of it because of your playstyle. No, tiebreaker isn’t an issue, no, it’s not common for people to run the timer completely, no, it’s not unfair how it’s decided, and yes, it’s an entirely you problem.

I think there’s only so many posts that you can send about it over and over and over and over and over again before realizing it’s something that literally only you complain about or think it’s somehow problematic. Don’t @ me to try to convince me of how this mechanic that I’ve experienced like 3 times in 12 years playing the game is so terrible, and yes I have played stall, balance, HO, weather, so it’s not an archetype issue. Get better and quieter while at it, and when you learn more, then you can give informed opinion, anything else is, as usual, derailing.

Derailing a thread from Heavy Duty Boots into your nonsensical tiebreaker agenda is a massive stretch that you’ve been tugging at for the past 3 days in every thread, enough is enough bro.

Which mon would you be breeding that holds no value to resell or even keep as comp afterwards? Flygon can be subbed out by a chomp cant it? I havent done the raid but would you value the levitate that highly on a pokemon with decent bulk? Cant you make your flygon a mixed nature and just swap EVs afterward? Isk man I see no problems

Or just sell it for others following the same strategy, I don’t see any problem with the OT requirement other than wanting to do the raid ASAP as if the raid mons you breed won’t be useable in other raids or the raid itself isn’t permanent. In my opinion the raid requirements are well thought and fair, it’s endgame content, and the only concern that could arise, Heatran prices, in literally 3 days are already nearing those of any other current demanded legendary. Also, as if breeding 4 mons is the hardest thing someone can do, let’s be honest.

And if the complaint is that it doesn’t let people grind it with multiple accounts, well… that’s the point and purpose of the requirement. It’s not a side effect, it’s a feature. So yeah, nonsensical. People want endgame content and when given in the right way and manner then proceed to nitpick stuff that they personally don’t like because it doesn’t let them cheese through it with ease.

i am completely unable to login to the support portal and cannot find a register section, unsure how to proceed. and i don’t know what evidence to provide? how would you provide evidence for something you didn’t ever do and are unaware what is being talked about, picture yourself in the scenario.

You use your in-game login, not the forums one

With the new changes happening, I thought I'd share my general thoughts:

    Heatran

I think this is a good addition to OU, with the main aim helping to nerf Volcarona, Serperior and also stall teams with the particular Magma Storm + Toxic + Taunt set. It can also help check Zapdos which has been fairly dominant in the tier as of late. Generally, it's very versatile with a range of offensive and defensive options and I think it will fit perfectly on all styles of teams (mainly balance, bulky-offense)

    Volcarona

Due to Heatran's addition, it will now be forced to run HP Ice for Dragonite, Garchomp and potentially Gliscor, or HP Ground for the obvious Heatran.

    Jirachi

In terms of Jirachi, I think it will be more of an issue in doubles than singles - as mentioned the physical variant can be checked by:

Metagross, Swampert, Heatran, Gastrodon, Bronzong, Skarmory, Suicune, Jellicent, Rotom-W, Weezing

It'll be interesting to know which sets people will run for rJirachi.

    Heavy Duty Boots

I strongly advise that this is NOT introduced for singles for a very long time. I'm not sure what the upcoming alphas will be, but without a Knock Off buff or things that wil

    Weakness Policy

I think this will buff certain Pokemon such as Metagross, Dragonite, Garchomp* (an asterisk as it's risky beng hit by a Dragon move) and potentially Mamoswine.

    Loaded Dice

I think this will buff Weavile and Breloom (if they run Swords Dance) and also potentially Mamoswine.

Overall, it'll be interesting to see how the meta adapts, with my main concern ensuring that HDB isn't introduced to singles.

Agreed with everything, always a pleasure reading your posts brother

No? I still egg shunt on normal days and only buy more fossils late nov, again, aint nobody gonna sit a wait for a year to shunt eggs / fossils.

I don't think that's the main point Pouf was trying to convey, but rather than the fact that you're ABLE to do it is bad game design from the get go and devs moving away from it and instead encouraging more mild behavior in regular leppa hunting (which btw fuels the economy) or focusing in the actual event instead of egging 24/7 is healthier as a game design principle than "this time of the year is the best for this particular activity so you better hoard all of your fossils and mysterious pokeballs to open them in these two weeks". It's not a final solution, it's not perfect, it of course is shit when it's the first time it happens but I do think Pouf has made a great point, it's a step in the right direction to stop the game from being a competition where the sweatiest, Smaug-like players "win".

Since when MMO is about fair? MMO is always p2w or whoever grind the most wins.

Pouf is right, it's a good thing they're changing that. And sure, it's still a jab to players who expected it, like I said previously, but it's also a necessary evil if they want to change the GrindMMO direction we had going on.

Except it's not a punishment but just keeping the thing fair and fun for everyone. It's just supposed to be a boost for x amount of time, not something that changes the activity of shiny hunting. You're not punished you're just prevented from changing the intent and idea of the whole boost thing from having a small boost for holidays season that everyone can enjoy to trying to maximise profit earned by it. If you feel punished you're only punished by your own greed tbh, which is valid, it's valid to want to maximise profit, but it's not a punishment to have that refused for more valid reasons of making the thing fair and fun for everyone and keep holidays spirit.

  8. The Item Magnet Charm effect was meant to work like that, it was stated that it increased the chance of picking up items after battles. But yeah, after Johto dropped they very clearly and intentionally nerfed Pickup rates, and that was never mentioned. I can believe the latest second Pickup nerf was a bug, but still, hiding it in bug fixes instead of addressing it and completely ignoring players when asked about it several times over the past month is a certified PokeMMO classic.

Probably exploitation. People used to take advantage of returning items after using them some time ago (they still do it today on a smaller scale), so the same could be applied here.

Not even that, it's probably more that the staff team is small enough and this all happens on a big enough scale that their plates are full enough (especially considering they're all volunteers) to manually restore everything by hand. Dealing with the scammers is one thing, manually having to transfer every individual shitto to their owner is something else. Not that I like how it's handled in terms of "victim" compensation, but I completely understand why it's like that if that's the case.

My dude I know your intentions are good and I appreciate the intent but can you not spam this in every single thread

  11. I just learned about this suggestion, immediate upvote. Such a clever, in-theme solution for a pretty ubiquitous problem, I love it so much. Trading entire boxes in one go isn’t a new idea or problem, but using existing in-game locations like this would be lovely and would add layers of immersivity that sometimes the game lacks due to functionality being prioritized (understandably and logically) over those.
