 Welcome to the Official PokeMMO Team Tournament of December 2023

These are monthly competitive tournaments where teams can test their skill against each other.
Players battle as teams (3 at a time). Teams can switch out which members compete between rounds.

 

 

[SY] Synergy™

 

will be given the opportunity to defend their title from November 2023. They have earned a registration slot.

 

 

December: OU/ UU/ Doubles

 

 

In each round, three players from each team will be placed in line in the following order :

The top spot will be an OU Match

The middle spot will be an UU Match

Below, there will be Doubles Match

Each month +3 first teams from General standings 2022

 

 

 

 

Those teams need to provide registration, but they will be put on top of registered teams - IF they make a reservation within one hour of registration, otherwise, they are registered normally without priority.

- Team can't register a player who was registered for another team

- Team (ideally captain) From Friday after registration till one hour before TT, can edit forum registration up to one hour before the tournament but has to inform the host either by quoting the registration post or by PM.

- In 1 hour before TT window it can be done by a message to the host.

 

A. Registration starts on Thursday and ends on Friday - same hour.

 

a) Teams must provide all information in a single post after registration starts. 

b) Only registered players are allowed to play

c) no alts of players from other teams

 

B. Entry must be made by a member of the team.


a) The entry can't include one team, and it must be edited to have another one registered.

 

C. The team must have at least 3 players ready to fight.

The process of TT

 

Team Tournament will be held in the same way every month:

 

a) The thread will be open with the date of the tournament and registration

b) Registration will start on Thursday before the tournament. Check the timezone converters.

c) Registration will end on Friday before the tournament. Same time as start of registration so if it starts 8pm GMT Thursday, it ends Friday 8pm GMT

d) The bracket will be shuffled and made visible on Friday/Saturday after the end of the registration. Information about where matches will be held will be released on Friday or Saturday.

e) On Saturday, before the start of the tournament, teams will be able to claim they are ready to fight on Discord, forum, or in-game.

f) In case of team being unable to play, the reserve spot team takes their place- or opponents gets a Round 1 bye.

g) In-game team call will be held on ch4. Only captains need to be there; playing players can safely be on ch3 if that's where their match is going to be

Notes :

  • Disconnecting during a match will result in a DQ.
  • Do not block the Staff running the Event. If you disregard requests for you to unblock staff members then you will be disqualified.
  • Once your match is called you will have 10 minutes to report to the table. No time extensions will be given.
  • Teams must have 3 players for each round. If team is registered, but fails to have 3 players, 1st reserve team takes their place in bracket. 
  • Matches in rounds 1-3 HAVE  to be done with 1-hour limit in the settings
  • Please listen to staff members' instructions during tournament. The behaviour of ruining the event for other players on purpose will be met with a yellow/red card system of penalties, as explained in the main thread HERE

Potential outcomes of the Year competition depend on the December tournament:

 

[NORE] NoRematch, [LO] Romantic and  [läva] läva can be champions if they will win the December TT. It will not matter which team is 2nd during December.

 

 

During the tournament, I will keep you updated with real-life table standings.

 

 

 

[VOW]  Solemn Promise also has a chance to win the year if they become champions and the rivals:
- Nore: Lower than 3rd round, 3rd round then it's an equalizer, but due to direct matches, Nore would've been champions

- Lo: Lower than Semifinal; if it's Semifinal, then it's an equalizer, but due to direct matches, Lo would've been champions

- Lava: Lower than 2nd Place; if it's 2nd place then lava wins.

 

This week, the last check of the points will happen. For those 4 first teams, starts this year are:

 

Nore: 

2nd place -> 1st Round (bye) -> Round 2 -> Champions -> Semifinal -> Champions -> Round 2 - > Round 1 (bye) -> Round 1 -> Round 3 -> Semifinal

7 + 1 + 15 + 4 + 15 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 49

 

Lo: 

1st Round - > Champions ->  Champions -> 1st Round -> 1st Round ->  2nd place -> Semifinal -> Round 3 -> Round 3 - >  Round 3

15 + 15 + 7 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 47

 

Lava:

Vow:

No other team has a chance to win the competition this year, but the competition for Cup of the Year still runs
