Cool! Can you elaborate on the EV distribution?

Of course, the EV spread is to overcome mons with 100 base speed, 252 EVs and favorable nature (That's why you have as an alternative to use Rock Slide for example, to be able to deal with volcarona if you used Icy wind in the turn you leave). In fact, the EV spread seems interesting to me for a possible AV Metagross (which is not very viable in this build because it would leave you unable to use Stealth Rock)

Looking at the paste I noticed that Chomp stayed with Dmeteor (At the beginning of the build I used mixed Chomp, then I decided to cband), but it goes with Dragon Claw in that slot.

I also saw that even though I talked about the speed of Metagross, it is not in the paste (lol), this would be the ev spread of that Metagross (You can use physical lead standard, I only raised that variant as an option to do speed control)

  3. I have to admit, it's not my best build, it's something I did on the fly anyway.

I took your idea (assumed it was Garchomp as a base for an HO team) and adapted it a bit to cover as many things as possible.

    - I placed a Garchomp Cband, so as not to force you to breed a mixed one with rocks (I don't really like jolly no cband or Hone Claws damage)

    - I kept Dragonite because as you can see it's the only thing on the team that could control Volcarona

    - I replaced your gengar with a modest cband Chandelure + infiltrator, because it makes it much more efficient for me when it comes to stopping hits that use substitutes for the setup, also it is check Weavile cband

    - Rotom-Mow is here because I removed Starmie, and you need to remove entry hazards, and taking advantage of the fact that your team only had rocks and no spikes/toxic spikes, I didn't see the need. for a spinner like starmie

    - Metagross is for Stealth rock and hitting Conkeldurr in a good way, it can also speed control with Icy Wind (The speed its calculated so you can speed creep to monsters with a base speed of 100 with a favorable nature when it's drop -1 for Icy Wind, see if you want take advantage of this to make a mixed set with some kind of rock move to deal with mons like volcarona etc.)
    - Poliwrath is only there to stop rain teams, Kabutops + Kingdra break your team, so I saw Poliwrath AV as an interesting way to stop these 2 hits.

Yeah I know, I swapped out a lot of mons, but I honestly think this build is going to be better, although even this build has somewhat exploitable weaknesses like Chandelure's scarf, it could work decently.

making stall a very viable if not excellent team structure on OU.

Stall en ou was always equally viable, I don't see the problem with that... The problem here I think could be the lack of information, it would be useful to know if all the current meta pokes will be HA in this update or not, but it's something that I hope it will be fixed in time before the November changes.

Cool, offense gets fucked even more by this mon unless I have these two mons.

But let's see bro, what other ways are there to count other set of conkeldurr besides physical walls actually?

I took 2 examples out of many that could deal with Conkeldurr assault, because that assault set is lackluster here.

    Positive points:
    - Good bulk
    - Good coverage

    Bad points:
    - Much lower offensive capacity (Unable to use Flame Orb or Bulk Up).
    - No Power up punch to deal with this.

It could be interesting to start a discussion, but I see it too much, Conkeldurr Assault here is, compared to his other sets, somewhat trash.

I personally hope they make the ability patch only useable by people with full OT dex because it doesn't make sense for a person who hasn't mastered capturing pokemon to have the ability to bring out a pokemon's HA.

Sure, let's make the item untradable to screw people with no time or desire to complete the dex! 😄

He have the same issue than Blaziken. HA Dependency.

But that's not a PvP problem, it's a HA mechanics problem.

I think that the best nerf you can do to Serperior would be to remove the evasion bost for clearing, until the HA of Crobat, Chandelure, Xatu, etc. arrive.

Ok, I did not take that into account, in that case I agree.

Crobat also takes some significant damage due to rocks weakness - although this takes damage better than Volcarona, it's vulnerable to the Glare set which causes it to lose that crucial speed control.

    +2 252 SpA Serperior Dragon Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Crobat: 85-101 (44.2 - 52.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

However, Serperior would need 1 or 2 turns before.

If I had Crobat on my team, and a rival Serperior is on the field, I would send Bat to receive the leaf storm/glare and with that I would force the change, I don't see a problem with that, in 1v1 Crobat would win, he would even win without going into a clean turn, as long as he's full hp, I doubt someone with Bat on his team would let serpe boost and cripple himself with glare, doesn't make much sense off paper.

With weezing I did not mean that it is a counter, not at all, I just said that it was a way to make the opponent uncomfortable and make him think if it is convenient for him to use leaf storm or not, and with what you pointed out you have a good point.

Regarding Weavile being a check, you need to make sure it's timed correctly at -0, and although it could take some hits yes (will struggle with glare set), this mon is way too frail to be risked like that.

Yep, that's why I said ''Check'' and not ''Counter''

Lately I've seen too many Weavile + Chansey/Bliss tp, which allows Weavile to come in clean and with icicle even have a chance against Serperior +2 Sub (Hitting 3 times yes, but it's a high chace).

I'm even convinced that I could mention more checks if I really thought about possibilities, I don't see it as something "broken"

    Is he a good mon?
    indisputably.

Easily became one of the most powerful OU?
    Yep.

    But it's not really "broken"
I'm surprised that the community that asked for HA is now considering nerfing a mon that we've known about for at least as long as we've been waiting ha.

Serperior is a problem. Please do something about it. We still don't have a discussion thread. We still have no idea if anything is planned to solve the issue or when those solutions - if any - are to be expected. We still don't know if TC voted on Serperior. We are completly in the dark. What's going on?

Really, what is the reason why it is "broken" in the current meta?

It has fairly well-established counters like Volcarona or Crobat, it can't play comfortably against an opponent that uses Weezing, there are checks like Weavile (which removes it even under substitute if it hits 3 times).

I really think that the problem is more the adaptation to a new mon that is quite viable, however it is not ''broken'' to the point of considering a nerf as it has, despite its potential as a setup sweeper, some negative characteristics (Little bulk, well-established counters, null versatility, among others)
