I don't know what the point of comparison is here with adv, there is no focus sash so it is more complicated to put dugtrio freely because it has a more exploitable margin of error, it has less base attack (although that is not so important), it does not have the tools to taking it onto the field as freely as there is now, and of course not having a preview of the team makes it harder for you to recognize the threat you need to eliminate. (Not to mention that you are forced to use cb so it ends up being boost bait for salamence or others). Besides, nothing there is made stronger than it really is thanks to dugtrio

Charms are definitely a better band-aid to this trash implementation than the lures as they are right now. Idk what else could fix it since they are not gonna rework it. Possibility of spawning it via sweet scent maybe ? Even PvP players need to exp or EV train at some point. Everyone use hordes when playing casually. It's fun to encounter a random roaming pokemon when you don't really expect it just like OG. The only player experiences of farming single encounter is hard-core shiny hunt and catching pokemon and Payday/Thief. The 1st one isn't for casual and is frankly boring and the 2nd one makes it slow to find legendary and 3rd one less slow but limited in where to hunt.

No it's not speculation, when matchmaking was reworked UU and NU and Doubles got whole more playerbase and it was seen. Same for the other tools that are conveniency for pvp players (pokedex data + filters) but also serve as window for casual players into competitive scene. I've been hosting unofficial LC tours and first thing countless players asked me is where can I see the list of all pokemons I can play ? And told me they would love / would have love to get into it if it was easier to obtain the most basic informations or didn't feel like "that one tier where I need to look up stuff in obscure forum posts/private discord servers". When I say lack of commitment, it's just for those basic things. I can understand how difficult it would be to implement visibility about how level 5 battling changes for stats or whatever would have made the tier more attractive and intuitive. 

I just don't understand the "all or nothing" mentality behind either having LC "as a tier" or completely nuking it from the game. Was LC representation notably lower than other lower tiers? Yep. Was LC taken less seriously by the general playerbase? It seems that way. But why was the solution to remove it from the game completely, though? I understand the smaller representation but what's wrong with recognizing LC a gimmick tier in comparison to OU/UU/NU/Dubs and give it slightly smaller representation in the scheduling calendar? Why would it be bad to host at least occasionally a tournament here and there to give LC enthusiasts something to do and something to build for?
 
 

To be fair, imo LC is way better in players' hands than in staff's. The only disadvantages we have are that we can't regularly put shiny prizes like any official event can do and that it relies in a handful of players who moderate the tier according to the meta situation. If those players have no replacement, we're doomed.

It has never reached a point where 16 would have been hard to fill. People (real people, not Caio) don't overthink this issue when they point out how LC was treated. You are free to choose not giving it any thought or to not care at all but here you are posting stuff that isn't true and portray it as if it was the reasonable way to act when it's about the same level of bull than Caio post - its not "simple" it is a choice made by devs that is questionable even with elements of why that choice was made. 
 
The 5 hypothesis made by gbwead in his original post are legit for a player to have and we could add more of them. We can judge the choices made by devs when facing these elements. We can emit opinion on how it could have been handled. We can talk about the success or the failure of this choice. We can talk about the evolution of logic and game design in these decisions. 
 
But please if you don't care at all about LC and you still want to comment, I guess just make fun of the clown and don't make fun of the balloon he's holding - unless you want to join him.

Many long time players will know of Redacted due to his very strange behaviour, his obsession with having control of what people on his team do and telling them what to do but this moment I witnessed whilst watching PRedacted  live stream is taking it to a whole new level of being an online control freak.

They should be available after that message, maybe there's another cool down if you try to catch like just right after, but the 24h thing seems very unlikely to me and seems based on assumptions and exaggerations (and interpretation of what is RNG) to try to make the story in your favor. 
 
While you don't need that, if the same players are organized into deliberately ruining your experience of game, just make a report and it will count as harassment. 
 
If it's not the same players, I think it's also fair for some players to deliberately put legendary to the wild so others have a chance to catch it without passing by the pvp phase that can be annoying when a group of players essentially monopolize it. 

I just hope they make the next ones have more meaningful encounters because the gameplay of sitting through thousands single encounters is not very exciting or special. They waited a long time before introducing legendaries because they wanted to do something cool with it and we end up with this lol

It won't change anything as far as I know. Saving hours of idle gameplay would be a much better experience of the game. Not that it would save us from PokeAFKMMO, but we could shiny hunt during that time !!

I looked into the value of Legendary Lures and how they compare to Expert Lures when it comes to hunting Legendaries. Even if they dropped to 30k on the GTL, they would still not be worth using.

Pvp exclusive hats are purely cosmetic, legendaries are defintely not. That's just false equivalencey. Neither cosmetics nor shinies give you an edge over your adversaries like legendaries do. Some legendaries can be played with different moveset and natures meaning having to own several of the same pokemon just so you can be on par with the meta. Sure you can change movesets and natures, redo EVs and all but that's not practical and also quite expensive every time you must adapt your pokemon. So in order to acquire all of those pokemon, you either have to hunt for them, if the current legendary cycle allows it and if you can spare several hours a day that month before a new cycle begins, or spend tens of millions through GTL or trades to fill your pc, as more new legendaries are rolling out. It's not unreasonable to think this isn't fair. I think most people would be fine if the means to acquire legendaries were actually challenging the players and not insufferable endless grind based on rng, especially given how important they are for the competitive scene
