Male OT breeding with female not OT from the same specie will result in OT, just to clarify.

And about the IVs, highest possible will pass for extra stats, not highest possible as in the 31s. The highest special attack of the two pokemon could pass down as well, yielding a low roll in defense.

    Hope this helps!

    Yo guys,

I just learnt that IV inheritance works different for Shinies here and that 2x31 is always inherited (or the highest, for that matter).

Ive got an OT shiny magikarp with
    HP 31/ ATT 31/ Def 15/ SpATT 15/ SpDEF 15/ Speed 31

If I bred that with like a Shiny gyarados with

    HP X/ Att 31/ Def 31/ Spatt X/ SpDef 31/ Speed 31

and give everstone to gyara and HP Brace to Magikarp, does that mean def and spdef will be the highest stat present? Cause the other ones dont need to be averaged? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

Also, is Male OT Shiny and Female NON-OT Shiny gonna produce a OT**** Shiny or a UNKNOWN OT one?

Boojanglez got a reaction from MrBlaziken1426 in Elite 4 change - getting healed but no item clause
    Hey 🙂

I find it kinda sad that the only way to effectively run the Elite 4 is to use a cheese team (aka tricking choice scarf and using either calm mind, belly drum or dragon dance to boost up).
There is always a "optimal" team, like best gym rerun teams, but this feels kinda lame.

I think it would be great if there was a mode that doesn't allow items used during fights (potions, revives etc), but you get your party healed after a win, just like the 1st time you're doing it in story. Maybe make it pay a little less cash at the end of it, or no BP, or something else to compensate.
Maybe even introduce it as a 2nd mode, next to the way we know it now.

Was just wondering what could be interesting in the near future. Maybe I also don't see the potential of certain things, like Toxic Boost Zangoose, is that actually a thing? Or just coincidence it hasn't been released yet (as an alpha, thus access to the HA). Interested in all tiers, OU and UU specifically.

    Thanks!

Considering Speed Boost Blaziken + Moody Bibarel, Smeargle, Octillery and Glalie are banned so they won't be added.
Also excluding leggies, the relevant missing HAs would be the following :

    Regenerator - Slowbro / Slowking / Tangrowth / Reuniclus / Alomomola
    Moxie - Heracross
    Water Absorb - Seismitoad, Cradily
    Magic Guard - Alakazam
    Unburden - Hitmonlee, (Accelgor)
    Speed Boost - Scolipede
    No Guard - Golurk
    Harvest - Exeggutor
Mold Breaker - Sawk (for Golem in NU)

Other stuff that could be usable include : Swellow (Scrappy), Kabutops & Omastar (Weak Armor), Muk (Poison Touch), Rampardos & Hariyama (Sheer Force), Conkeldurr (Iron Fist), Liepard (Prankster), Emolga (Motor Drive), Snorlax (Gluttony for dubs), Klinklang (Clear Body >> Plus/Minus), Sigilyph (Tinted Lens), Zangoose (Toxic Boost), Swoobat (Simple), Primeape (Defiant)

Boojanglez reacted to xChetiiKo in Question - does Exp. Reamplifier and Training Link stack?
    Hello bro.

Yeah It stacks with the Training link.
Also if you own pokemons lvl 100 on the team they don't count at the time of divide the gains.
The pokemon you fight with will get a 25%exp extra than the rest of the pokemons, so I recomend you to don't farm with a lvl 100 poke.

    So for example :
You have only 3 pokes, and no one is lvl 100.
If you kill a hord without Reamplifier you win for example 5k exp for the poke you kill the hord, if you active it, the experience you recive in total will be a total of 15% extra since you got 3 pokes, 5% per one.

Why outrage would be healthy for the meta

    Dragon types today
Today, dragon types are a really big part of the metagame, but especially because of their utility. A dragon stab is very reliable, but don’t make any pokemon good by itself (except for Hydreigon with draco meteor). Garchomp is a incredible diverse mon that can be defensive, offensive and even a speed control, Dragonite has a multitude of advantages that make it the perfect sweeper, while both salamance and haxorus, which rely to much on their stab to be good, have low win rates and usage. If you really want to deal damage in the pokemmo meta, you probably want a stab close combat, (or maybe a strong ground type to use earthquake), as most of the physical attackers have at least some fighting type coverage.

Why, in the absence of outrage, the meta is unbalanced
As i said, the two best types to deal damage are fighting and ground, something that make the meta heavily focused on those two. You can see that by the two main defensive types being poison and flying, with some water and steal types to cover their weakness. With those two types in mind, you can easily create a very solid defensive core, especially because every wallbreaker has it’s own counter. If your team has a conkelduur as it’s main wallbreaker, then he will be useless against the opposing weezing, if it’s darmanitan, then the same will happen if you face a defensive Garchomp. Even if you manage to weaken it with other mons, they can be easily heal by a wish teleport Chansey. Your wallbreaker will end up fainting, you will probably kill the opposing wallbreaker in the same way, and now you are stuck in a hour long stall war. This is the reason why our meta is full of HO and BO teams, as you need a very diverse offense core to take down the defensive ones, while the stall teams can monopolize on the amazing defensive cores they have at their disposal, making the game revolve around these two styles.

How outrage will make the meta more balanced.
Outrage will provide a reliable way to deal damage, while forcing you to be careful against revenge killing attempt’s, making balanced teams more viable. Garchomp and salamance will outrage through the slow and frail offensive meta with their scarf sets, while stall teams will need to take new treaths into consideration when building their teams. Both stall and especially HO/BO will be less spammable, leading to a meta more focused on balanced teams as they can use the increase in power together with the defensive cores to survive it. Defensive mons like empoleon and ferrothorn will shine in a meta less focused on fighting types, and Chansey will be unable to spam wish the same way we see today, at least on less defensive teams. The games will be more about who destroy the enemy defensive cores first, making games more fast pace.

    Conclusion
I really think we should give outrage a try, especially when jirachi came out as it may happen in February, when we get heatran i will not be able to think of any reason for the nerf. Gen 5 players used to deal with far stronger dragons than those we have now such as latios and kyuren B with the same defensive mons, so the move will not be so strong as people think. At least, think about outrage buff as something that can really be introduced, it’s not the same as Garchomp SD or batton pass buff.

    Hello community!
Welcome to the [OU] PvP Sample Sets Compendium guide.
The purpose of this thread is to provide players an easy-to-understand compendium of sample strategies of OU Pokémons.

    Notes:
    - This only contains information about sets that I thought would be useful for new players to use.
    - These Pokémon strategies are basic and correspond to probably the most standard things that are used in OU.
    - Remember, EV spreads may vary depending on what is most suitable for your own team.

It adds nice recurring content to the game (in the forms of every month another dog/cat/whatever in Johto which you will eventually wanna chase), is potentially very interesting for PvP (if something truly is/stays OP - will need nerfing eventually) and is, needless to say, incredibly fitting to the game itself.

I like this a lot and I also like the choices made so far regarding what to add a lot. Thoughts?

Aight fellas, let's get into simp mode real quick and acknowledge that the dev team absolutely nailed the whole experience and knocked it out of the park.

Every custom fight is made so well (Ho-oh was actually nuts, ngl), I love being able to catch and use Suicune (legendary that appeases the collector in me while being a good choice as it's not an OP legendary). This has been a great experience not only regarding nostalgia (which could have been expected), but also from a game-design point of view.

I feel it could have been a tad harder at some points, but that's maybe just a Johto thing or maybe it would have been too hard for casuals not accustomed to PvP-stuff etc (I feel like the later gyms were real ez and the rival was a joke mostly, E4 was a breeze for me and Lance seemed middle of the road, a lot easier than Cynthia but harder than the Hoenn or Unova guy).

Thank you for creating this, I loved every second of it.

Same, I was just thinking of making a post like this. I haven't reached the ho-oh fight yet, just been going through the johto storyline relaxedly. The Shalpha gyarados boss battle was fun. The increased difficulty is cool. Its not just johto, but this whole game, the first 5 regions all connected together, seeing other players walk around on their own pokejourney, It's just amazing. The MMO aspect gives "I wanna be the very best" a whole new meaning since its not just npcs to fight against anymore, but whole tournaments with real players to win against. The rareness of shinies making shinies an even more cool flex. It's all just really brilliant.

I mean just think about telling your younger self that one day u can play a game where you can easily battle and trade with other real life people who love the game just as much as you, (also meaning that u can finally get a gengar and alakazam much more easily.) I know that my younger self would be extremely happy.

I hope to see more amazing content from the devs, thank you for everything, devs.
