2. This is my Farfetch'd. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My Farfetch'd is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My Farfetch'd, without me, it's useless. Without my Farfetch'd, I am useless. I must fetch my Farfetch'd true. I must fetch farther than my enemy who is trying to fetch me. I must fetch him before he fetches me. I will... My Farfetch'd and I know that what counts in this journey is not the leeks we fetch, the noise of our wings, nor the farf we make. We know that it is the fetches that count. We will fetch... My Farfetch'd is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its leeks and its wings. I will keep my farfetch'd clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will... Before God, I swear this creed. My Farfetch'd and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life. So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but peace! Please, share your love of farfetch'd, my brethren.

  3. Explanation: Contestants create a theoretical Pokémon in a Gen III, IV or Gen V metagame. Note: This is NOT an art contest. Rules: - The Pokémon has to be completely new, so not based on another Pokémon nor a pre-evolution nor an evolution of an existing Pokémon. - You have to create a Pokémon by giving: The concept of the Pokémon: - Name of the concept (not of the Pokémon): Some words that expresses the concept, like "Status Counter". - General Description: The description of the concept, Like: "A pokemon whose presence in the metagame increases the usage of one or more underused types and simultaneously decreases the usage of one or more overused types." or "A good Pokémon with a varied movepool under normal conditions, but it becomes a dangerous sweeping force in sunny weather." - Justification: Describe how the concept works in the specified metagame. How is it a nice addition to the specified Metagame? - Explanation: Explain the full concept, help us understand the why, how and what of the Pokémon. Typing: Why should this type should be in the specified metagame? What other relevance does the typing have to the concept? Threats: What Pokemon will be threatened by the created Pokémon based on typing, and why do we want to hit those Pokémon with the created one? Primary and Secondary Ability. Give reasoning why the Ability is logical to the concept and why it should be in the specified metagame. Stats. Give reasoning why the stats are relevant to the concept and whether it would fill a gap in the specified metagame. Counters: What Pokemon can be a possible counter to the created Pokémon, and why do we want those Pokémon to be able to counter the created Pokémon? Name: Give reasoning why it is relevant to the concept and explain the etymology of the word (if it exists) Movepool and level up moves list. + Reasoning Explain competetive play with the Pokémon. What sets can it run, and how would it be a nice addition to the specified metagame. 3 Pokedex entries and add a species. Example for species: "Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon", or "Steelix, the Iron Snake Pokémon." - Art/Sprite is Optional. - One submission per person. - No duplicate or close to duplicate Pokémon, or a closely related entry already posted by others. - No new types (Fairy type is prohibited as well), no new moves, no new abilities. It should be based on existing characteristics. - You can only choose the abilities and moves that are available in the specified generation. - When the event is over, we'll come up with 3-5 questions for each entry (which will be sent by PM) and you'll have another 2 weeks to give an answer via PM, from October 6th 12 am EDT to October 20th 11 pm EDT. This is to fill gaps to your theoretical Pokémon. - You are allowed to criticise each others entry, but the discussion has to be kept constructive and the criticism has to contain valid arguments. Useless flaming and bashing will not be tolerated. Date/Time: August 19th 12am to September 15th 11pm EDT (The thread will unlock/lock at these times) Prize: 1st Place: Cape There will be an art contest for the winning Pokémon. DISCUSSION THREAD

  7. Hello everybody NintendoPSX here and I have a delicious bonus to help you play PokeMMO. Playing with a game controller. Now this can be done with either a PS3 controller, Xbox 360 controller, PS2 controller or a computer brand controller like Logitech or something. (Note all controllers MUST BE CONNECTED BY WIRE [uSB). So let's get started. You're going to need a total of TWO programs to make this work so I will lead you through this tutorial. http://www.motioninjoy.com/download First go there and download 32bit and 64bit all in one: site 1 Version 0.6.0005 Make sure you KNOW your computer's bit size. You can check by right clicking Properties on My Computer. Once downloaded extract everything and run the Client EXE. When that finishes, make a Shortcut on your Desktop for easy use. Although you won't need to use it unless you wish to connect a different controller after setup. Now open the Client known as DS3 Tool. A green client should open up with tabs saying Profiles and Driver Manager. Click on Driver Manager and then click Install all if you have any drivers that this client needs you to download. (Note: I had to install two drivers myself so I know this is safe). Once that is finished. Go back to the Profile tab and then connect your controller by wire. It should pop up on Connected Game Controller(s) with a bar going between 0 and 100%. Look at where it says Select One Mode and choose the controller that you wish to connect. Mine is PS3 so I choose that one. When you are done with that TEST to see if the controller works by either running a ROM OR click near the button of DS3 Tool Vibration Testing if your controller successfully vibrates that means it is connected and we are ready to begin the last step. You may close this tab as it is no longer needed. Now you will be downloading a program called Joy2Key (JoytoKey). What this program innitially does is maps the keyboard buttons to the buttons on your controller. Go to this site http://www.electraco...ish Version.htm then click one of the two download links at the top right. (They're both the same so it doesn't matter). Once you're done extracting and installing that, open up the client you will get a folder titled jtk374en make sure to keep everything related to Joy2Key in that folder. To make it easier you can put it on the Desktop as well. Now here is where things get tricky. Make sure your controller is connected BEFORE you attempt to open this client or else it won't work. At the left rename whatever mapping you want this one to be (You can have several maps for several games; mine is titled PokeMMO). Now on the right you'll see Joystick One this is the one you'll be using so need to change that. If you scroll down you will see LEFT RIGHT UP DOWN and several buttons numbering all the way to about 19. Just map the LEFT RIGHT UP and DOWN to whatever directionals you use to move in PokeMMO. Mine was the arrow keys so I used that accordingly. Button One is essentially your "A" button and Button Two is your "B" button. Set all these according to what keys you use in PokeMMO. Now with the rest of the buttons you can be creative and set your Hot Keys or your Pokedex, or Bag or even Enter to get to chat easier. This part though is a bit of an experimentation as you need to figure out what buttons is what and what you actually want on the controller. When you finish that you're DONE. But PLEASE READ THESE FEW NOTES. You must have Joy2Key open WHENEVER you wish to use the controller or else the computer will not be able to detect the controller on it's own for the game. You can minimize it onto the Taskbar. I do NOT know how to make the Analogs Sticks work so unfortunately you will have to use the D-Pad only, but I find it more useful anyways. You CANNOT type with the controller, you have to put the controller down to type in chat. It's not really an issue but I guess someone will be bothered by it. And that is it. It should work. If you have any questions feel free to ask me NintendoPSX/RectusErectus in Channel 1 in game. Or reply to the Forums Post. Thank you and have a fantastic day.

Here is my idea, well....actually, an idea I first saw in Guild Wars, then World of Warcraft. Achievement Points for various feats completed (they are called many things in many games). Here are some examples:
"I choose you!" (Received a starter Pokemon from Professor Oak) "Monster in my pocket." (Caught your first Wild Pokemon) "I'm the CHAMP...oh, wait..." (Beat the Elite Four) "NOW I'm the Champ!" (Beat your Rival at Indigo Plateau) "Time is money, friend!" (1 million Pokedollars earned over the character's 'lifetime') "My apartment smells of rich mahogany." (500 achievement points) "I have many leather bound books..." (1.000 achievement points) "It's over 9,000!" (obtain more than 9.000 achievement points) "I didn't even have to use the sprinklers!!!" (Defeat Brock) "Pulling an all nighter. Or two." (1000+ hours on a single character) "Gotta Catch 'Em All?" (Caught 151 Pokemon) "Gotta Catch 'Em All?...again." (Caught 251 Pokemon) "Gotta Catch 'Em All?...a third time." (Caught 386 Pokemon) "FINALLY!" (Hatch your first Egg) "I knew it wasn't Mew!" (Found the Lava Cookie by the SS Anne)
These would be purely "cosmetic" and NOT able to be used for anything that would in any way benefit you in PVP or PVE. Maybe some vanity items or titles would be tied to the completion of (a) certain, difficult achievement(s).Not trading the points in for things. Simply for bragging rights and something to do outside of preparing for the next tourney or whatever. Please be aware of the fact that the preceding list of possible Achievements would NOT be the final list. Just a small list of what I thought of, or remembered from some other game. The list could be 10,000 times larger! Be sure to "Like this" if you support it! Thanks!

  10. Updated August 21st 2014 3:27PM (Central Time no DST) For a list of upcoming bug fixes click here. We now have a wiki page! I've updated guys! If you know of features that will be coming in the game, please cite and link the original forum post so I can put in in the OP. Do not ask for ETAs as only the developers have that sort of information. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION THREAD. If you have suggestions please visit the suggestion box by clicking here and post a thread there. What's the purpose of this thread? To gather information of things we already know upcoming for the game. These features are things that are not only things mentioned in the development progress, but rather, features confirmed by the developers in the forums. 11. A Rare Candy is a non-tradeable item that levels up your pokemon by 1 level. Thus, the only real way to obtain them is to make runs through the game. With the full introduction of the islands, we now have access to 14 Rare Candies, and this guide will show/tell you where they are (This guide was inspired by Neekz) That video shows 13 of the locations. The last 1 is: - In Lost Cave next to Resort Gorgeous on 5 Island (in the cave, go Right>Up>Down>Down>Right>Left>Down>Left, not hidden) In written form, they are - At the bottom-right corner of 1F of Mount Moon (not hidden) - In Cerulean City, in the Flower Patch in the backyard with the flowers, go through house to get there (hidden on tile in-between flowers) - On the route from Cerulean to Rock Tunnel (hidden in the upper-right part before the grass patch) - In Pokemon Tower, on the floor before Mr. Fuji (not hidden) - In Celadon, in the Rocket Hideout, on B3F in the moving tile puzzle (not hidden) - On the Route between Vermillion and Saffron, in the upper right corner next to the guard house (hidden on a tile in-between the 2 ledges) - On Cycling Road, on the right-most side about halfway down (hidden in the middle of the grey road, 1 tile up from the 3rd brown sign on the left (It's your 3rd sign if going down) - On the Route between the Right Snorlax and Fuschia (hidden in the first grass patch 5 tiles down, 3 in) - In Fuschia, in the Warden's house blocked by boulder (not hidden) - In Silph Co tower, 10F in the bottom left with 2 other pokeballs, its the bottom-most one (not hidden) - In Pokemon Mansion 3F (hidden down a 2 tile passageway to the right of the drop down area, tile is near the wall) - In Victory Road, in the first room, the left pokeball in the boulder puzzle to the north (not hidden) - On 2 Island, behind the Blast Burn/Frenzy Plant/Hydro Cannon tutor's house (hidden on the right-most tile) As to how you should use Rare Candies, here are some tips: - Save your Rare Candies until they're exactly what you need to get to your target level (30,50,100). For example, if you're trying to level Aerodactyl from 70 to 100 and you have 14 Rare Candies, you should train him normally to level 86, then use the Rare Candies. It's much more efficient. - Sweepers are relatively easy to level, while walls, tanks, and utility pokemon are much harder. Save your Rare Candies for these pokemon, as it saves you so much time. - Certain pokemon take more experience than others to get to 100. Typically, stronger pokemon take more experience than weaker pokemon. Save Rare Candies for those harder pokemon

Do you wanna know why I blocked you for a while? You were being fucking annoying and the whole chat was spammed with your trashtalk, I was just gonna unblock you after the tournament but then you start taking it out all on me, for some reason. Barrage is just boasting his ego like he always does (pls stahp), and you do it too. Why do you care so much about it, got butthurt because he didn't want to make a deal? Anyway say what you want now, I don't have much more to say.

  20. Implementation of usable currency in PokeMMO. The main characteristics of currency are (1)durability, (2)divisibility, (3)transportability and (4)noncounterfeitability. I would like to share a thought on how to implement this into the PokeMMO game. My idea is, to create a currency based on the value of lucky eggs. Seeing how the value of this item remains relatively stable. In real life, you may compare the lucky egg to the value of gold. Throughout history currency has been often been in direct relation to the value of gold. See gold coins for example. (1) and (4). So, with this being said, I would sugest to implement an exchange office. In this office you can trade a Lucky Egg for 95* "Tyronecoins". AND trade 100 Tyronecoins for a Lucky Egg. update: I sugest making Lucky Eggs untradable between players, as this leaves room for price discrimination. These Tyronecoins can be stacked up to as many as you'd like and are put in the key bag slot and are tradable between players. (2) and (3). edit for clarity: The only way to obtain these Tyronecoins are: 1. Trade your lucky egg in the office for Tyronecoins. 2. Trade your TMs/pokemon for another player's Tyronecoins. update: Another way to receive Tyronecoins could be the implementation of a few daily quests. For example: Faint 15 Sneasels in Icefall Cave to receive 3 tyronecoins. Defeat 20 players in a row in the trainer tower to receive 5 tyronecoins. The main idea here is to create a fun way to receive the currency, also a way that can not be abusable. Adjusting the numbers to create a time and effort relative to the reward received isn't something I can do. With these Tyronecoins, one could also set the value of casino coins. I've read that about 10 Hidden Power/Return Tms are worth roughly one lucky egg. So The value of one TM10 would be 10 Tyronecoins. And the value of Icebeam etc could be 6 Tyronecoins. One could create a list of values of Tms so it becomes clear how much each TM is worth. edit: Setting a constant price for TM's isn't a good idea. TM's are subject to price changes because the demand or supply may vary. update: The creation of a story-line only TM shop, which sells all the story-line TMs for Tyronecoins (prices depending on how far in the story and usability). This will act as a sort of money sink as well as create a easier method to obtain TMs. In addition to this, I sugest making these story-line TMs untradable between players and sellable to the store for 1/3 of the buying price. The untradability between players is to keep the rule of 'one price' in order. Game corner TMs will remain as they are. The value of shiny pokemon WILL REMAIN a result of supply and demand. This means that prices of shinies are fluctual as opposed to constant. What this sugestion does do is increase the market for common shinies. No longer will that shiny tangela, pidgey and tentacool be difficult to value or trade because the value of an egg is too high. Please give me some constructive criticism and other ideas concerning this kind of implementation of a currency in PokeMMO. green edits were made shortly after the thread's creation. red updates were made august 4th after some discussion with a teammate

  34. As uMadBrah and Plague so efficiently put it This is my current setup, this is not what I call playing an MMO. The point im trying to make is that you have turned something that should be fun, enjoyable and while it should take some time. It should not involve me having to cycle up and down the cycle path while I actually do something else enjoyable. It is not enjoyable, isnt that the whole point with games. People are already starting to see the obvious flaws with this and eventually more and more will just get fed up with it. Solution: Dont fuck with breeding, a staff member said a while ago you were going to try and stick to the original games as much as possible. What the fuck is this then. Who cares if people get some really good comps earlier than you planned for, the whole point of POKEMON is to capture, battle and trade. So what does it matter that everyone gets a comp they really want in a week. It just means better things for the game and I honestly dont believe you nimwits even tested this shit... making this game a grindfest will not keep people... it will deter them to other things. Why is this in suggestions: because its a suggestion to fix breeding whenever you roll out that next patch that will fix the reverse gender icons... include a fix in there because its been one day and im sick of it already. Im sure others are aswell. Rant over

  35. Requirements for Joining To join, you must maintain a pair of as many EW Pokémon as you can get your hands on. If you like, you can also keep a pair of any other rare (and "Endangered") Pokémon, but I won't ask everyone to do that. Whenever a friendly person (especially a fellow teammate) needs such a Pokémon, give that person one, then stick the other in the Daycare with a Ditto. Once they make an egg, hatch it, then return the new pair to your box, ready for the next person in need. Don't give out your Pokémon to beggars, though; you'll only encourage them. Just pay attention and when you see someone talking about their Pokédex without being annoying or spamming others to ask for something, see if you can help them out. Example of my EW/Rare box:
