  1. I just think it's extremely hard to balance something like this when the premier reward (Pumpking goodie bags) dropped to 80k on the 2nd day of the event. (Oni mask 600k, Mage Staff 1m, etc)

     

    There has to be a balance between making the boss beatable, but not farmable to the point where the rewards aren't worth anything by the end of the event. Once they nerfed taunt, the prices shot back up, and teammates of mine are still beating it without much trouble.

    There are other things for newer players to do. Making the boss beatable by new players would make it extremely easy for veteran players to farm the boss, which they already do. The rewards the boss gives have already been declining in price rapidly (before the nerf to taunt) and it's only day 2. If new players could beat it, the rewards wouldn't have much value and everyone would complain about that instead.

     

     

  3. Legends are a complex issue due to a lot of the reasons mentioned above, but they touch on another issue this game has which is a bit unrelated to gameplay - lack of communication from the development team.

     

    Years ago, they teased a dungeon feature that would include legendary Pokemon and hidden abilities (which the competitive scene is in dire need of) but they have given us very little information or updates on this feature. A few years ago, Darkshade had mentioned he completed the first map for dungeons, and as far as I'm aware, that was the last we ever heard of the feature. They don't give us any ETAs on updates, or information on what they're working on. Since they first mentioned dungeons, they've added new regions, PvP features, and even a mobile version of the game. There is really no telling where they are on this feature, or if it's in their plans at all. 

     

    The last we heard from the team was in May, when Kyu mentioned they were working on more PvP-related things and they weren't sure what they doing beyond that. Not knowing what they're doing or if dungeons are still a priority makes it very difficult to create ideas for how to implement these features, so we're pretty much stuck waiting on them to do/say something. 

  4. Haxorus is mainly just a dragon dance user, while Hydreigon can be a lot more versatile (scarf/nastyplot/taunt/etc) so if you can only make one to start, I'd go Hydreigon. Garchomp is also the most used pokemon in OU, which can also fill various rolls (stealth rock, sash lead, mixed, hone claws, etc) so it just depends on what you want that slot on your team to accomplish.

    Will you publish the results of your tests? You're claiming to have tested this more, and to a better degree, than a developer. On the chance they're wrong, I'd love to see the findings of your research so we can really crack down on this issue and hold these lying developers accountable.

    You're complaining about the AI having good items and moves, while also suggesting the AI be given better items and moves.

    it took me 15 seconds to think of a way to abuse this

     

    - trade items to a new account

    - get 4 badges and have listing-free GTL for a month

    - trade all profit to main account

    - never log into alt account again

    - make new alt account

     

    the current system works fine
