Phase 3: The 3rd and 4th place team in group A faces the 1st and 2nd place in group B, winners join the semi finals... Bottom 2 teams in group B are eliminated (1 week)
Phase 4: Semi finals, 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd. The top players from the 4 eliminated teams (W/L ratio) are split into two all star teams (1 week)
Phase 5: Finals + All star game managed by two meme players (1 week)
1st place gets usual prize
All star team winners get a cash/item incentive too (maybe 500k ea??)
Pros:
All teams have a chance up until week 6
Losing players are incentivized by the all star game
All star game replaces broken award system
Losing the first 3 weeks isn't a death sentence
Cons: not every team will get the chance to play ea other
Multiple games vs the same team

Yes, that. Playoffs are just a hype killer honestly, just look at this season. It just extends it too much, and it may start feeling like a chore for a lot of people. Eliminating playoffs would fix that, could maybe add more teams aswell, idk.
6-7 weeks for a season is enough imo.

Whether you choose 8 or 10 tiers, it won't really matter if the wrong tiers are selected. The showdown player base is made mostly of inactive players that by definition are not willing to put as much efforts as mmo players. Splitting this disappointing community in 2 tiers is the worst thing to do. One showdown tier is enough.
Totally true, everyone who doesn't want to grind in a pokemon game is a complete disappointment. Shame on you @Rigamorty.
