    Players affected by client tampering closures (and temporary bans) are running software which interferes with the game client. Most of the time this is autoclickers/macroing software. Sometimes it's because they're using a "multi-game" app which allows them to run multiple clients on the same device.
     
    You can visit https://pokemmo.com/tampering for more information. Players are instructed to uninstall the software, and provided it's their first offence, will have their tempbans removed.
     
      
    After you filed your ticket and were instructed to remove your macro software, you stopped being kicked for tampering. This was not an error.
      
    You haven't been banned, but you may want to visit the above support article before you are.

    The Johto region is now available, featuring a new storyline with several bosses to challenge This region requires a HeartGold/SoulSilver ROM to function. Players who have already installed these ROM files for visual changes don't need to do anything. For Johto, disobedience works separately from your badge count. While badges will increase your disobedience level along your journey, other key storyline events can too. You'll receive a notification when your disobedience level changes and you can always check it in your Trainer Card. To start this region's adventure, create a new character or visit the Ferry Captain in your current region  
    Apricorns can be found in this region. These can be used to create several new classes of balls: Moon Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Yellow Apricorn. These offer 4.0x catch rate for species trees which can be evolved with a Moon Stone. Fast Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a White Apricorn. These offer 4.0x catch rate for species with 100 base Speed or higher. Heavy Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Black Apricorn. These offer a catch rate with the following formula: 1.0x for species with < 100kg weight 2.0x for species with < 200kg weight 3.0x for species with < 300kg weight 4.0x for species with >= 300kg weight Friend Balls may be crafted for $1,000 + a Green Apricorn. These offer a catch rate of 2.5x for species trees which have a Happiness evolution in them. They also greatly increase happiness (to 78%) upon capture. Lure Balls may be crafted for $1,200 + a Blue Apricorn. They offer a 4.0x catch rate for encounters which occur with a Fishing Rod (including Phenomena and special Feebas encounters).     Voltorb Flip is a minigame which can be found in the Goldenrod Game Corner Players who win Level 8 of this minigame will receive an  exclusive reward Special encounters can occur when using Headbutt on trees in Johto. Once disturbed, these trees will need to be left alone for a while before a new encounter can occur. Mt. Silver is an optional end-game area which can be visited after defeating every region's Elite 4 and completing the National OT Dex. Exclusive rewards await inside. The National OT Dex requirement only applies to species which are normally visible. It does not include special monsters which are time-limited, such as Shaymin, nor overworld legendary events.  Special surprises await!  
     
    General
    The stack size for items has been increased from 99 to 9,999 This change also allows purchasing up to 999 of an item while interacting with a Mart and crafting up to 999 of some items (e.g. Mysterious Gems) at a time Players can now choose specific slots (automatically changing depending on your party members) or specific monsters to follow them Dream Balls are now available in some Marts. These offer a 4.0x catch rate for targets which have been sleeping for at least 2 turns. Daily events in Unova and Sinnoh now work properly The GTL UI has received a refresh, improving mobile navigation, adding controller support, and showing more relevant information when browsing monsters New Alpha Swarms have been spotted in the wild for all regions "Trade with Item" evolutions can now use their items the same way as evolution stones

    Gift Shop

This modifier stacks with others like the Riches Charm The  EXP Reamplifier's EXP distribution mechanism has changed When activated, this item splits 25% of total EXP gained amongst the active participants, with the rest being split among the whole party. Each party member also gains an additional +5% of the total EXP.  Premium Lures' chances to modify encounters have been increased: Encounter rate modification is now +25%, from +20% Lure-exclusive encounters are now +10%, from +8% The chance to increase the size of encounters into Double Battles or Hordes has been increased to +25%, from +20%  
    The Aurora Beast Mane, Thunder Beast Daopao, and Volcano Beast Wings are now available for a limited time.
     
     
    Balancing
     
    Sharpness' damage modifier for slicing moves has been reduced from 1.5x to 1.3x Gallade has been re-enabled for Over Used tiers Repeat Ball's functionality has changed Repeat Balls now start at 1.0x catch rate. For each successive capture of the same species, even if not using a Repeat Ball, the catch rate increases by 0.1x, up to a maximum of 2.5x. This catch rate resets to 1.0x if you capture a different species. Its price has been reduced to $1,250 Heal Ball's price has been reduced to $300 Nest Ball's price has been reduced to $1,000 Luxury Ball's functionality has changed Luxury Balls now offer a catch rate of 2.0x for species trees which have a Happiness evolution in them.     We already had a good discussion opener in Doubles Tier Discussion request about Safety Goggles, an item that could potentially improve the metagame and playing experience of Doubles. That made me think which other items have we got past Gen 5 that arguably could improve the metagame. I'm keeping my post focused on Doubles because that's what I'm mostly experienced with and I don't want the discussion to go all kinds of different directions if we were to discuss singles as well. To be fair, I think Singles deserves its own discussion thread as well, although the obvious problem is that do we want to open that can of worms and possibly mix up the tiers with upcoming items.
     
    Firstly, the devs have shown they are willing to do quite big shakes to the game with the likes of Assault Gear (Assault Vest in core games) to be introduced to the game. From my experience, Assault Gear in PokeMMO has mostly been a positive addition. Because devs have shown willingness to add new items to the game from post Gen 5 generations, I'll do my best to explain which items deserve a spot in the game in my opinion from Doubles perspective.
     
    I grouped these items based on the utility and potential risk. Keep in mind, these are only my opinion. Feel free to comment with your thoughts.
     
     
    Group 1 - Definitely good for the game
     
     
    Clear Amulet (please give us this)
     
    I would argue Clear Amulet would improve the Doubles metagame the most. Clear Amulet basically is the ability "Clear Body" in Item form. I'd argue the current Doubles metagame is heavily Intimidate focused. It might not feel that way because so many top tier physical attackers are completely immune to Intimidate (Clear Body Metagross, Inner Focus Crobat, Inner Focus Mienshao) or are using Swords Dance just to ignore Intimidates (Swords Dance Scizor, Swords Dance Excadrill). However, my argument that the reason these Pokemon are used is because they get hindered by Intimidate the least. Adding Clear Amulet allows physical attackers that otherwise would be heavily hindered by Intimidate to have some potential usefulness and not get pushed aside in teambuilding just because there are alternatives for physical attackers that do not care about Intimidate.
     
    The only downside I see is that it makes Tyranitar arguably even better as Tyranitar could also carry Clear Amulet and not get countered by Hitmontop as heavily anymore. But on the reverse, giving up your Chople berry allows Tyranitar to be far more reliably to be KO'd by Hitmontop instead. Furthermore, I'd argue that Tyranitar itself is not broken but it's a one Pokemon solution for balanced teams to have a better matchup against all kinds of weather.
     
     
    Room Service
     
    Room Service gives -1 speed to holder when Trick Room goes up and its on the field. Excellent item to allow more Pokemon to shine in Trick Room archetypes. It's very common to have a Pokemon that could potentially do well in Trick Room but it's just awkwardly fast and not being viable for that reason alone. Having Room Service allows more middle speed to slightly above average speed Pokemon to do well in a team that has a Trick Room mode. Also I think this can be a useful tech to allow teams to have far better diversity in countering opposing Trick Room teams than what we have now.
     
     
    Safety Goggles

    Group 2 - Probably good for the game but there might be concerns
     
     
    Loaded Dice
     
    Giving more love to multi-hit moves to me is a good idea. Loaded Dice may allow multi-hits to become very powerful with guaranteed 4-5 hits but while doing so the Pokemon is giving up its item slot for "something better". Also, because of giving up the item slot you can't get the maximum hits and still get Choice Band / Life Orb boost I don't really see this item pushing the damage calculations out of hand with anything. This prevents multi-hits from becoming too powerful in my opinion but I understand if this shakes up Singles tier too much in some regard for someone to object this. Overall, I think it's good though and gives more opportunity to plan out your moves. Also what I love about Loaded Dice is that it prevents Focus Sash Pokemon to be 100% safe (because Sash is a dumb item to begin with but that's another conversation).
     
    Eject pack
     
    Eject Pack allows a Pokemon to switch out after getting a stat drop. Very niche in my opinion as usually there are better options but it allows some creative strategies in my opinion, none of which intuitively seem too strong to me.
     
     
    Group 3 - Could be fun but potentially cheesy without open team sheet
     
    Covert Cloak
     
    Covert Cloak gives a Pokemon a protection from secondary effects of an attack. In Doubles, this is mostly used to prevent a Pokemon from being Faked Out. In VGC, I feel like this item has improved both playing and teambuilding experience. You don't have to use Protect just for Fake Out protection and you can use all 4 moves for something useful and just slap Covert Cloak to prevent from being Faked Out. The only issue I see is that in Gen 9 VGC we have open team sheet (meaning you can see opponent's all moves and its held item), so opponent always knows when they can or cannot Fake Out the opponent. Unknowingly not getting a Fake Out flinch because of Covert Cloak might feel unjust and a little bit cheesy when you don't know it's there. In my opinion, a move like Fake Out being good is crucial to Doubles metagame so I could see the argument that Fake Out losing its guaranteed flinch could be bad for the concept of Doubles.
     
     
    Mirror Herb
     
    Mirror Herb allows Pokemon to copy the stat boosts its opponent got. While it forces opponents to think twice before mindlessly setting up, I could also seeing this item being slightly cheesy. Setting up can be the appropriate play in many cases and getting reverse set up might feel like a skilless counterstrategy.

    Last remarks: I didn't discuss about Heavy-Duty Boots because in singles it could be an absolute game and tier changer while providing very little use in Doubles. Anyway, here's my suggestions - I think Doubles probably needs some mix-up as to me the metagame is becoming extremely stale and almost resolved at this point. These item suggestions (especially Clear Amulet and Room Service) allows players to think much more outside the current box. Obviously, you already could use less used options in Doubles but my issue is that people often are significantly hurting their winrate by using more unorthodoxed Pokemon because of the aforementioned downsides of using a Pokemon that isn't i.e. protected by Intimidate. Anyways, feel free to voice your thoughts.

    It would be cool to see achievements in PokeMMO, like for completing certain tasks, ex: finishing a region's pokedex, or beating a region, or other ones like catching 5 alphas, spending 100k on GTL then every time an achievement is completed a reward is given like some exp candies etc. , you know stuff like that would be really nice for players and will basically set up goals for them by default, and then there are event achievements which are  the same but are only completed during events, like Lunar New year etc...

    Even if it wasn't a reward, having some sort of thing saying you've completed an achievement would be really nice. Maybe something where another player can see your achievements and settings where you can hide them from non-friends/non-team members. Great idea venge

    You can EV train special attack while collecting ash,it takes more time, but you get decent amount of ash.
    Pickup, payday also works, you can get metal coat/charcoal and about 150$ per battle.
    Edit: Ash "restarts" after you enter any building, exiting and reentering route doesnt work.
     
    This is the most optimal route I found. Enter building to "restart" ash, repeat.

I just need them for dex so what I am willing to do is you trade me any male alpha bulba/charmander you have, I level them up to final form then breed them with alpha ditto, upgrade their IVs, make them female and trade you back. How does that sound?

    You see copy/paste responses because our rejection rate for RMT cases is well over 95% and banwaves often encompass thousands of accounts. The only real exceptions are when the GM typos something. Because, as you mentioned:
     
    Most players do exactly that. It's not worth the SGMs' time to link trade logs at every guilty party.

    GM policies for how to handle rulebreakers are not rules. We do not list publicly how we handle offenses. Some cases require more nuance than a policy description can provide.
     
    Press X to doubt
     
    It is exceedingly rare that someone comes to us and says "Hey, I've broken the rules. I didn't get anything out of it (and I can prove it), and he broke the rules too." Whether or not we want to grant someone an out depends on the consensus of the SGMs. Nobody takes action independently. Sometimes, they will say that the person has lost enough to make them learn their lesson, as-in this case, and they will issue a verbal warning (and a permanent mark against their account for misbehavior).
     
    We do not take a hardline approach in odd cases like this because it's not beneficial for the game to do so. We'd rather someone flip on their seller than no action be taken because "everyone knows that if you talk to the GMs you get banned."
     
    This is the first time you have heard about it, but it's not the first time we've ever extended amnesty to people breaking the rules.
     
    I have a sneaking suspicion you're just looking to argue over someone who was banned for gold buying/selling who was caught after the fact. These are not equivalent offenses.
     
    If you'd like to continue to rant in PMs you may, but the threat of "more drama" is flaccid. We do not believe the SGMs misbehaved in this case and don't see any reason to intervene.

    As for the main subject, the user was not left unbanned because of some friendship, nepotism, pity, or any other reason.
     
    To better understand, here is some context. We have had an internal amnesty policy where users can voluntarily admit to attempting to or successfully purchasing items via RMT. If a user reports their purchase in a reasonable time frame, before it is noticed, we will simply confiscate the item and let them off with a warning. Sellers do not get any leniency.
     
    As a slight extension to this policy, this also extends to RMT scammers. If you attempt to buy an item via RMT never receive the item, you can report it to us and the scammer will still be punished. Extending this policy this way prevents an abusable situation where a user is able to scam other users with impunity. If we have an environment where we ban the victim, then nobody will ever come out to report the scam.
     
    As you may have guessed by now, the user in question attempted to make an RMT purchase an item and was scammed. They never received the item they attempted to purchase. Admittedly we did not do the best at explaining this reasoning to the user.
     
    This is (as far as I know) the first time we've applied this specific policy to a scam, but we've often applied it users who learn the rules after committing RMT. This was not a decision made at the behest of a single SGM, but something that was discussed.

    This isn't a full response, it's only my initial thoughts.
     
    First of all, to address your complaints about being being banned "unfairly", you can't provide proof you didn't do something. You can provide all the proof in the world that you had some legitimate transactions and exclude the parts you don't want to admit. Everyone claims to be innocent, points to a few things they think clears them while pretending there was nothing else. We do not publicly discuss bans, so users feel impunity to claim their innocence without fear of being called out.
     
    Ban appeals are not a place to argue your innocence, they are a place for oversight and review of bans and for us to be able to inquire about specific actions taken.
     
    I haven't had a chance to look into the other claims yet, but one thing I can say is a player claiming to be a friend of staff doesn't actually mean they have a personal relationship with a staff member. This particular member in question is not friends with any SGM, even if he claims to.
